What's very funny to me is this story ends with Picard wishing they had someone like Q with them on their journey, while in the episode "Q Who," Picard would flat out tell Q they didn't want his help for anything because they had everything they needed.

The funny part is that Enterprise - ENTERPRISE - had an episode that had the whole "phasers have stun settings" come up. 1) Shootout on a cowboy planet (don't worry about it) 2) Cowboy takes T'Pol hostage at gunpoint, threatens to shoot her unless Trip drops his weapon. 3) Trip shrugs and stuns T'Pol, then stuns the shocked cowboy

The dialog in this comic almost makes me wonder if someone was trying "the Marvel Method" for writing it but had never done it, before. I mean, look at some of those panels in the brig scene. The dialog makes almost no sense given the action. It's as if the artist drew some stuff and then a very unimaginative writer tried to make dialog to fit his preconceived notion of plot...

I used to watch Star Trek TNG as a kid & even I knew that Troi's an empath & not a telepath. So I was immediately stunned when these writers didn't know the difference & also didn't know neither of those abilities would work on Data (an android).

Gods bless for including the mariachi scene. Lucahjin has that as one of her gift sub Twitch alerts, and I remember her husband getting spammed with that about 30 or so times in a row. It pretty much took any seriousness out of the stream (like either of them were taking things seriously).

It was stated early in season one that the Klingons HAD joined the Federation. That was obviously ignored later. It's likely the comic writers were using the series bible as reference and that didn't include later changes.

Also that was the arc where is house was haunted by the ghosts of two angry cultists and he used said cosplay to capture them in a Pokéball. ...Linkara's show is weird when you get right down to it, but in a good way. XD

Happy birthday Lewis. S1 Geordi did have one solid, and one hollow pip - Lt. J.G. Troi was real good at pretending to read aliens she couldn't. She also kept telling Picard what the Ferengi were feeling - right up until she revealed that their brains were immune. Dr. Crusher did wear that helmet in an early episode. No clue why, or why she stopped wearing it for medical procedures.

I've always wondered why Starfleet security don't use the stun setting more often during tense situations. Like when they're in a standoff or storming a place. Drop everyone and buy yourself time to figure out who's who while they're unconscious. As far as I know there's no pain or discomfort involved in being stunned by Starfleet weapons so you can't even really claim that it's too brutal.
