Star Wars The Acolyte is nearing release with critic reviews on the way, but first we have the pleasure of articles and interviews. This really highlights and roundouts the themes of the show and who the characters are, not for the best. Did you want the sith to be sympathetic and the Jedi to be evil? Welcome to The Acolyte, where equality rules instead of justice. The cast are so proud they have done this while targeting the show at people who don't watch Star Wars instead of the male dominated fan base. And this targeting has the obvious side effect of being repulsive to the original viewer base. This show, should make for some good reviews. But what did you think of what you saw? Let me know your thoughts down below and as always, thanks for watching :)

WOOOOOW....like I always say, let an ideologue rant long enough and they'll say the wrong part aloud. It's like I keep saying, you Culture Warrior fucks DO NOT rep the fandom. You can see the sociopolitical BS in this "content" and call it out for the hollow, empty shit on film that it is WITHOUT being a disgusting person...but you and yours don't make money that way; now that I think about it your comment kinda gives insight into you lot and the audience you've cultivated.😮

Nah, it's not by fault but by design. It's not an accident, it's a celebration of evil and it's deities. Take a look at Maleficent, the girl does evil and it's taken as good, the man does good deeds but it's displayed to us as evil. I hate that movie with every fiber of my being, it's the most disgusting piece of ... whatever I ever saw. The pebble from her river and his iron finger ring, I mean ... and why she first goes on and gives a curse to a baby, couldn't she just go for her wings, like she did the second time she went there. And cutting her wings was a gesture of love, altruistic love if any. It's insanity, I've had girls screaming at me because of Maleficent and my deconstruction of it.

Reminds me of a part of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. When describing Yuan Shao, a regional governor/warlord without a clue, he was said to always do whatever was suggested to him last and there is a part about how despite his army being huge, the worthy and diligent were punished while the craven, flamboyant and greedy were rewarded. Yuan Shao also displayed a trait the famous strategist Zhuge Liang considered a telltale sign of a bad leader, caring far too much about his grand uniform and appearances, so someone in a fancy outfit with a fancy title would immediately gain his trust over officers with dirt on their clothes and armor from actually being in the field. It didn't take long for him to lose to Cao Cao's army about 1/15th the size of his. Even after he died, his rotten sons fought each other over their inheritance rather than their common enemy. Yuan Shao's family had held the highest office in the Han Dynasty for 6 generations and it all went to hell because he was vain and didn't understand the basics.

Well for one, wrong name, might’ve been why the girl next to him kept begging him to “shut up, please shut up.” For two; that was not an example for why evil acts can be seen as good, since that’s essentially what he was trying to defend. The Death Star and it occupants were committing atrocities and literally ending billions and billions of lives. It’s safe to say that that was a battle against true evil, and the true good guys won against stacked odds mostly because every great villain (these idiots making these movies included) are so grandiose they can’t see a flaw if it fell and shattered their foot.

"Anakin [actually Luke] killed a whole Death Star [the "Death Star" was not an actual star, part of a living ecosystem; it was a mechanical construct]. How many people died on that?" Far fewer than died on the *actual planets* (such as Alderaan) whose extermination was the Death Star's *specific purpose* . A few thousand beings died after *they had already killed millions* and planned on killing millions and millions more. "Grey area" is the stupidest thing ever to try in a drama, because the point of drama is that things happen. Significant things, which are specifically defined. A neurotic murders his mother and then a lot of other women who remind him of his mother, until he is caught. A crew of heroic Star Fleet officers travels through time to prevent the extinction of whales. A man who thinks Brad Pitt is talking to him discovers he's having a psychotic episode. An old man dies, and reporters discover his life history. A cop discovers the secret behind a miraculous new food source. An astronaut lands on a planet dominated by evolved apes. These are called "plots". They make logical sense. The Sith being harmless lesbians of color does not make sense, as it goes against every bit of characterization we have seen in this entire franchise. FFS.

Even in his villain song, he starts of saying how much more righteous and how much above he is than the rest. Even though we the audience can tell he's clearly full of sh*t. Yet he still believes this of himself. It's going to be the same with The Acolyte, the villains will think they are the good guys and the audience won't be buying it. Leslie, a person who was a personal assistant to Epstein and more than likely did horrible things to other women, is now making a show where she turns evil people into morally gray characters. She does this because, in her head, she is trying to excuse the things she has done in her life by stating that people can do evil things due to the positions they are put in but can still be good at heart. The issue is that she could have just quit her job with Epstein and now wouldn’t have to twist and turn things into a pretzel to persuade herself that she’s a good person.

I think we need a Gilmore Girls remake where Lorelai is married and has a good relationship with her parents. She’s a homemaker who has a baby, which she absolutely refuses to give a male name, and the show reflects on her happiness in a traditional marriage where she looks to back her husband’s move into politics so they can get restrictions on guns lifted and abortion enforced more strictly. Or how about Sex and the City which is remade as a search for the perfect man to look after them? When Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte are four smart and dynamic New York-based women, come together they decide that the slurs they were in their youth was a bad choice and they settle down, abandoning their careers for motherhood with good strong men who look after them. Same energy as this BS.

"Power currupts, absolute power currupts absolutly" I believe that is the main drive of the rules of the jedi, to keep them from turning evil. When you can alter people's minds with the wave of a hand, or crush them by forming a fist, it would be too easy to turn evil and assert your will, your power over others. 16:16 It is basically unbelievable that a person with such powers could be anything but evil if they don't follow restrictive rules, so yeah, the power is something to be feared.

"Always Two, there are." "What about those over there with the pink and purple lightsabers Master?" "Talk about them, we don't. Dark, light, there is. And grey." "Purple, there is not."

The problem with good people is usually that their manners get in the way to deal with sneaky, evil entities like Leslie Headland. That’s why it always has to be evil destroying itself before rules are established to counter it. It will get worse, before it gets better…

"This is about power and who is allowed to use it." I think this is a projection of what the ones in charge are really trying to say.

The idea of force users who aren't Sith or Jedi is a real thing. Called "Gray Jedi," they walk the line between the light side and the dark side. Tends to be used to refer to any force user who isn't evil but isn't part of the Jedi order, but also for actual Jedi who defy the normal way of things (Qui-Gon was considered one by some members of the order.) Or maybe the "doesn't identify as Sith" character would be a "Dark Jedi." A Jedi who fell to the dark side without becoming an actual Sith. It's weird, though, that the people trying to manipulate the perception of this stuff aren't even aware of these ideas. If you wanted to redefine characters outside of the Jedi-Sith binary (that isn't a real thing) it would be useful to have *in universe* ideas to work with. An actual story about a character who could be gray or could be dark and where will they end up could genuinely be good, but not if it's made now!

Crushing sums it up cancelling my Disney subscription smh I saw Star Wars 13 times in the theaters and waited the 2 years with an extreme expectation and excitement between episodes‼️ These idiots have no idea what they’re doing. I truly hate Disney!

"You're character encourages individualism!" Like the Sith do? You know.."There is only passion!" Or like Lord Voldemort said: “There is no good and evil, there is only power and those too weak to seek it.” That is a very Sith quote, I think.

When you have the story line solely based around of ' it wasn't me it was my evil twin' ....... these executives actually green lit it, thinking it was a good idea .What planet are they on ?
