They may have lowered the hero price by 75%, but they also lowered the campaign rewards by 75% (from 20k to 5k). Word is that they're lowering the match rewards as well so it won't actually allow you earn the heros faster. Fucked up, don't buy this game or the future of gaming is screwed.

I'm pretty sure all these "changes" were well within their calculations. Their main task at the moment is probably making people accept lootboxes as a concept, "feature" as you've said, and not a fucking infection that it really is. This economy as whole is unacceptable in a premium game, period. Lootboxes exploit vulnerable people and make them spend a lot more than they would otherwise, and no one who pays full price for the product should be subjected to this sort of shit. I say boycott this game altogether, and all similar bullshit that's coming out these days.

This year has been my biggest boycott ever. From racist Mass Effect employees to fucked up loot box BS i just have had no feeling of "Oh i wonder what i will buy next" at all this year. I have bought one game, one! That was PREY which was brilliant, i paid my £40 and got the full game, no loot boxes, no online pass, no season pass just a full single player game with 3 endings that i got all for that £40, no DLC needed for the other 2 endings. It was great!

You're right about the Lootboxes but in Belgium they are investegating These Lootboxes as a form of Gambleing which is illegal in Belgium outside of a Casino and if they are convicted with Gambleing they either have to remove them completly or every Game with Lootboxes will be pulled from Stores in Belgium and I think if that happens other Country will do the same specially in the EU then they have to Change something because the EU is a big market for Game Companies and they can't afford to lose Money. Lets hope that Belgium deems Lootboxes illegal an puts them on the same shelve as Gambleing.That would Forces Game Devs to Change their ways. But for now all we can do is speak with our wallets and don't buy Games with Lootboxes.

I've never played a game that blatantly gives players an advantage over others if they put money in. I play rainbow, cod (yes there's weapons, but they are balanced), and pubg.

Bakes 13 idk, I think they weren't overpowered, they just catered to a different play style. Like the supply drop weapons may have more fire rate, but will have less damage. In battlefront 2, you literally get a direct upgrade. There's no negative, you will just get increased health. They should've done it where if you get increased health, your speed will decrease.

I wish they did microtransactions the way GTA Online did. I've been playing it since launch, I have tons of in game DLC, and I haven't spent a DIME beyond the cost of the disc. I can stomp on high level players, and I've been stomped by low level players. The microtransactions do not break the game. But they still make a ton of money off them. I feel like developers should readopt the more 5 year development cycle vs the 3 year cycle. It seems to work out better. You can spend a year or more in a REAL beta, not just a demo you call a beta for 2-3 days.

I'm voting with my wallet and not buying the game. I was only interested in the story mode so I found a full walkthrough on youtube and watched the entire single player campain, not just the cutscenes, the entire thing in 4 hours. 4 hours for a Star Wars story mode? Thats insane. And the problem is, you can see that DICE tried to put a good story in there. It starts off great with Iden on Endor, there is a fantastic level with Luke Skywalker but the rest of the game is fighting the exact same three class of enemies over and over and over again. The final level though, thats good too as I believe it hints at Rey's parents. The best parts are ship combat but ship combat was done better in the Rogue Squadron games on Gamecube. EA ruined Star Wars. If they want to get back into Star Wars fans good books, make that deal with Factor 5 to release Rogue Leaders.

My friend lent me KOTOR for the xbox when he came over my house and left it for 3 days but I never got into it as I did not understand the combat (i never played western rpgs before, only stuff like final fantasy 7,8,10) so I gave up on Kotor but 1 year later I got it again and I was blown away when I understood how to play it It is strange but the feeling of amazement and exploration I experience in Kotor 1 is something I have never gotten from any other game. 2004 was such a good time for me

Maybe that's why i still love the Mass Effect trilogy, Summoner 1 (ps2 rpg), The Witcher 3, and several other games. It takes awhile to rather get started or has so much to do, it can take in upwards of a month of play time (not days, the number of hrs would equal in upwards of month, if I was able to play 24/7) Long, slow progression, rich storyline with interesting chars and no EA bullshit.

The Sad thing is - that in some ways what EA does, will mostly hurt DICE. EA sorta keeps them, as hostages. If the game flops, the studio will get the ax, and if it will be a hit - it will bolden them to create even worse ways to extort gamers. It will also feed the media "storytellers"...
