yes, that's elite squadron, which originally meant to be ports of BF3 but was later made into it's own thing after BF3 was cancelled.

So many games from back then were cancelled, now we finally have something close to what we would have gotten. This truly is a massive win for the fans. I remember seeing the game in a GameInformer magazine, and being so disappointed when it was cancelled.

Man I loved playing Elite Squadron as a kid, and Battlefront 3 was actually finished and released like it was meant to, it probably would have been my favourite Battlefront. I really liked the story for the game

I swear, every time I watch footage of this game I can only think 'X1 is quite possibly one of the most whiny and entitled future dark siders I've ever seen'. Half of his issues with the Jedi seem to boil down entirely to 'but you, the General, are trying to give me orders! And I don't like that!'. Even the Coruscant one was understandable annoyance from the Jedi perspective, because that was disobeying direct orders to put themselves (and any Clones with them) at risk for what amounted to glory hunting. Even if it resulted in the destruction of a cruiser. (that and if a Jedi goes up and kills a Rancor by stabbing it in the face with a lightsaber, I'm going to say he probably deserves the kill.)

Now that the game build has been seen, perhaps a team can clean up all the bugs, get new voices, and put it as a mod.

The free radical archive team has been hard at work, fixing bugs and so forth. It won't ever be perfect but it's already a great deal better than it was when the build first released.

yes and no, it's unfinished. It plays very differently depending on what camera mode (there's a whole debug setting that completely changes hero gameplay) you're using and what build you're on, like on the older xbox build, you actually used the right stick to control what direction you swinged, on the wii build, it's a bit more all over the place.
