They really should combine all the shows in this timeline’s budgets and make it actually one big GoT-style show. That way we CAN just check in on whoever, whenever, and it all just makes sense. Carboni calls it an experiment, but it’s already been done. GoT had a dozen main characters, and just as many settings, and you’d sometimes not see some for two or three episodes but that was okay. Just merge all the shows and have twenty episodes a year, supplemented by other shows not in the timeline like Andor and Obi-Wan.

i agree with tim, we needed to see boba fett have a connection to the city, like, if he was protecting tuskens then sure, it wouldve made sense, but it was very "cool why does he care about this city other than power." there were so much we couldve gotten earlier, other than "welp im getting too old for this shit" the mando episodes shouldve been either separate episodes OR if they were going to have them then we needed like 2 more episodes of boba. give us some moments of backstory with boba and cad bane, give us some connections with the city, and do it all way sooner

I think Carboni was correct about the budget. This show was only supposed to be a one off that took the free time in between Mandalorian Season 2 and 3. But I think the other issue that showed itself was this was more a continuation of Clone Wars and Rebels rather than Episode 6 and i think that rubs people the wrong way since those shows aren't necessarily viewed as required viewing

I completely agree with Tim. There were fantastic moments, but the story telling was very poor. This felt like 5-6 people were running this show. And it is amazing when Clone Wars animated show has more depth then this live action show. They need to stop rushing these shows.

Really like hearing the different points of view on this, but really have to agree with Tim on this one. Most of the show is just an audible groan at the pacing and characters for me. Is there anyone out there who can defend the mods? Their acting and look is just so badly done. Thinking of Grogu making the rancor fall asleep turns this all around, great show!

I'm right with Tim on all this. Overall I was disappointed in this series, thought Boba Fett was terribly underdeveloped, and thought the finale had more lows than highs. And right with Barrett about the editing! Painful.

The biggest problem...well, the two biggest problems with this show, were the overall structure and how much time was wasted in those first three episodes. The flashbacks are fine but, honestly, they were boring and all of the Tusken stuff could and SHOULD have been handled in a a single episode. Super nerds know Cad Bane and his relationship with Boba, but the vast majority of viewers don't, why they didn't use some of that flashback time to establish Boba and Cad's history AT ALL is absolutely baffling. Imagine if they had taken 1/3rd of the Tusken time and used it to show some pre-Empire Boba/Cad jobs to establish why we should give a shit about Cad Fucking Bane! Had some of that been in there, and had they broken up all the Mando/Grogu stuff and peppered it throughout the show instead of all at the end, it would have been far, far stronger overall.

His design, posture, and speech obviously SHOWS you he's a bad MF, what it doesn't do is actually tell you literally ANYTHING about him as a character, his relationship to Boba, or why we should give a shit. I liked it, but didn't love it. I agree with Saige in that I'm a very optimistic Star Wars viewer. So I am usually happy/pleased with most choices made. This is the same for me. Things I loved, but also things that just didn't make sense to me and wish it could've been better. I kinda wish they didn't kill the Tuskens near the beginning, and I thought that it would be a story of "giving Tatooine back to the indigenous people" kind of thing for Boba. That would've automatically given him more motivation.

the thing with the dark saber and grogu is they don't want to blow their load and lose out on moments that can be bigger down the line, if he wielded the saber now, you already have done a huge moment for mando season 3 or even further down the lin! We have to have a little patience haha

Finally watched Boba Fett because the Obi Wan trailer got me excited. Thank Christ Tim was the voice of reason in this episode. Literally felt like I was in the Twilight Zone watching these talks after each episode. Like I was watching a completely different show. For me, Boba unfortunately succeeded at only one thing…. setting my expectations incredibly low for “Obi Wan”. Kinda a bummer, but maybe that recalibration is a good thing. Maybe I’ll enjoy “Obi Wan” even if it turns out to be not very good. I’ll check back to see if we’re all intrinsically aligned later this month lol

One of the characters that impressed me in the Boba Fett show was the female Tuscan fighter in the black robes, played by Joanna Bennett. She was badass and I would love it if she survived somehow and went on to become a character in another show. The finale of this show was EPIC. It's a shame there wasn't a Rancor training montage.

At the end of the finale, when I saw Cobb Vanth (Timothy Olyphant) in the Bacta Tank about to be operated on by the 'Modder', I knew that there was a possibility that Cobb Vanth was being saved, more than likely, to replace Cara Dune (Gina Carano) in Rangers of the New Republic. 'Rangers' was shelved because of Gina Carano.

Wasn't thrilled that Grogu is reunited with Mando, it cheapens the great ending of season 2 of Mandalorian. They are separated for essentially 2 episodes of Mandalorian content. I agree with Tim about Grogu and Mandalorian, they should be separated longer if they reunite. Overall BoBF was pretty messy with uneven pacing. It feels like Jon Favreau wanted to make Mando Season 3 because all the moments that hit were Mando based

The whole point of the time with the tuskens was to show Boba had changed, he'd become part of a community and a family. There is the reason why he gives a shit, the city is his new community after his previous one was wiped out. He's grown as a person, he sees the world differently. The show wasn't great overall, but it has some good moments and was enjoyable which is all you can realistically expect from Star Wars.

100% with Tim on this one. This finale was incredibly underwhelming. The pacing was off and the storytelling fell flat. Cad Bane should have been introduced way early if the plan was to kill him off. Could have been the big bad this series desperately needed. Also Robert Rodriguez's direction does not work with Star Wars, I feel like half of the time he's trying to make Spy Kids or Alita Battle Angel.

It wasn’t an amazing finale, but it was definitely good and had amazing moments. As much as it pains me saying this because he’s one of our own, Robert Rodriguez was completely outshined whenever he didn’t direct an episode. Jon Favreau served as the series writer, so I’m not sure what happened with this show and why it only shined when both Rodriguez wasn’t directing and when Boba wasn’t even in it. Loved the action packed stuff. Boba and Mando back to back was my favorite. And the reunion between Grogu and Din, while rushed since it was literally mid-battle, was still heartwarming. A little underwhelmed by Cad Bane because while I love Boba winning, I would’ve also loved seeing Bane continue as a villain. Some probably haven’t seen clone wars or bad batch, so this showdown didn’t pack the punch it needed.

To anyone who watched Clone Wars, Rebels, and Bad Batch, am I wrong, or is Dave Filoni the one who really gets why Star Wars is special? I know he's involved in these live action shows, but I feel he needs more creative control...more than Favreau, Bryce Dallas Howard, definitely more than Robert Rodriguez, and IMO he should have been chosen over JJ Abrams to start off the newest trilogy. Filoni really feels like the heart of all that's good in the galaxy far, far away, since the original trilogy.

What would make my day? An Old Republic long lasting TV series. Like the old SWTOR trailers. THAT's what we need. Fierce lightsaber fights, good / complex plots and twists, with dark mythologies, forgotten tombs with old Sith knowledge / power, and with Jedi and Sith going full blast against each other with power armor. Hell yes. A darker setting, tone, and timeline.

I’ve been in the Carboni boat since we first saw Krrrsantan. I NEED Aphra, Triple Zero, and BT1 in live action or even animated at first. Just get them to the wider audience! Nick was talking on stream the other day about how he’d want something a little more mature in a Star Wars thing and I think they’re the perfect fit. You have the rogue-ish, cool, and actually extremely smart and capable Dr Aphra with her two sadist murder-droids trying to get some mcguffin from some even shittier bad guys. I picture it like Indiana Jones meets Sherlock Holmes or some other archetype that’s always thinking their way out of seemingly impossible scenarios and not just lucking into solutions.

Cad might not actually be dead because when they do the close up to his body you can hear beeping and see a light flashing on his chest in sync with the sound. If you know the Cob Vanth storyline in the aftermath novel then you will understand the direction they're going to go for season 2 of book of boba, which is raising a huttling to be good and put it in power to replace Jabba. We're most likely getting Cad and Boba stories in the Bad Batch. The Kamino scene was just a transition to flashbacks and it wasn't meant to be anything else.

The show I felt started off slow, then the penultimate two episodes just set up another show and we rushed the last episode and left on a really confusing and open end. As a Star Wars fan I loved the stuff shown, as a boba fett show? It fell short of my expectations. I am in the minority that felt we got too much Din and grogu and not enough fennec and boba.

I can’t help but be worried for the Obi-Wan show. I want Episode 3 part 2 but after watching mandoverse I’m worried we’re gonna get 4 episodes of filler with bland characters and then an episode with Vader where we go ooh that was cool I guess. I just want a gripping story, not a slideshow of cameos

There were so many dumb decisions by the characters and creators in the battle. Why did Boba's entire force hunker down behind cover in one spot where a single well place grenade or rocket could have taken them all out? Why did Boba go get his Rancor instead of his ship with it's high powered lasers and seismic charges? Why did they stay in the bombed out club where a battle would do collateral damage to the town, instead of a literal fortress away from innocent civilians? How did those droids not hit a single person during the whole time they were chasing them?

I laughed when they went to the sniper point and one told the other they would distract the droid but stayed about 2 feet away from the other sniper

I don’t like the DCEU, I’m not a fan of John Cena as an actor, and I don’t care about Peacemaker as a character, but darn it if I don’t like his show better than Boba Fett series (minus the 2 Mando episodes). Didn’t think I would say that.

Hard to argue that it wasn’t a good Bobba Fett show but I enjoyed it once I let that go and just enjoyed what we got. The best description of this show is messy

Man, the action in this episode was all flash and made zero sense. There were lots of small moments here and there that were rewarding and cool, but the way the battle was handled outside of Mando and Boba was just completely nonsensical. Edit: Respect to Tim for sticking to his opinion against these three who I don't believe watched the same show with the amount of praise they gave this episode and this show overall. Tim's spot on with this one.

I still don’t understand what was so bad about the spice trade, I don’t think it ever showed the effects of the spice trade on the townspeople. What did boba actually do for them that they were cheering him on at the end?

They really should have taken more time to make this a better story. There are definitely cool things and they finally gave us Boba being Boba, but the only thing this show really progressed was reuniting Grogu and Din. It's very disappointing and there is nothing further that they set forth with the ending of this series.
