Star Wars isn't a dying brand...Disney is just ridiculous and doesn't realize most toys are bought by adult fans who had toys when they were kids. These days every kid is playing games. Star Wars wants to merchandise? Make some games. Also...you're completely discounting the fact that Bandai Star Wars items sell for A LOT of money and so do Hot Toys. The domestic market sucks ass for a lot of collectors.

There is no magic in the new films, the stories are not intriguing and the characters are either not interesting or barely developed. 10 years from now people will still be able to quote the original trilogy but not remember what happened in episode 7 or 8 except that Luke got screwed
