This, Level 9, and Level 18 were the three levels that totally stumped me when I was a kid. 18 especially. There was a lot of platforming involved in that one.

You should play The Serious Sam games then. Croteam recently-released Serious Sam 4 on console and it's a brand new game that's a call back to the old school shooters.

Emmanuel EXE The physics were pretty good too, If you run with force speed and hit a wall you´ll recieve damage as well as if you use force jump and hit the roof. Not many modern FPS games are as accurate as this one.

+ArmaBiologica35 Yeah, very true, now modern fps are pretty the same and generic, only multiplayer with some bullets weapons where you can carry only 2 of them....boring. :/ I like a lot Build Engine FPS but i must admit, JK1 is huge! The physics and level design make it fun! I will check JK2 too. :)

Emmanuel EXE Oh Jedi Knight 2 was awesome, Without spoiling too much there is a level that feels a lot like a Legend of Zelda Dungeon. Its a shame the game is no longer canon.

not a FPS, but Dark Souls 1 is renowned for its interconnected, labyrinthine map that is full of shortcuts and secret areas

I loved so much these early shooters, no maps, no arrows where to go, no description, it was up to you to figure where you have to go and how. It was so satisfying when you finally figured out a puzzle or how to proceed to next area. I remember heated phone conversations with classmates, screaming about how to get to next section of a level. Nowadays shooters have puzzles you can pass with an IQ of a frozen vegetable and seem to be interested only in body count.

I hate those Grans with Thermal Detonators, especially on Nar Shaddaa levels of Jedi Outcast. The sound when a Rodian dies is funny. They're a little weak on Dark Forces II, but on Jedi Outcast they have a Tenloss DXR-6 Disruptor Rifle, that can vaporize you instantly. About Kyle's weapons, according to Jedi Outcast, are the Bryar Blaster Pistol (the pistol), E-11 Blaster Rifle (Stormtrooper rifle) and Wookie Bowcaster (crossbow). Anyway, was a cool video, LBF! Looking forward to the next level!

On Jedi Outcast, when you have to reconfigure the codes of the communication array on Doomgiver to contact Rogue Squadron, man, that sort of height and jumps are creepy. At least, on that point, Kyle has his Force Jump at maximum level (12x higher than normal).

This level was always my favourite of this game. I think because of all the puzzles and conveyor belts, something about that really made my explory senses excited I guess. Although I do agree there's too much waiting. Also, thanks for showing how to get to that secret area at 12:50. It used to drive me crazy trying to figure out how to get the forks over to that side again. The only way I could ever find my way to it was eriamjh (the flying cheat) - the same way to get to that strange boardwalk in the pipes at the beginning.

+Ryan McArthur (ADDF Toxic) it does seem to me that everything really moves a lot faster in Hard mode. i would bet i didn't need to wait so long for that elevator to come back down. still, when you gotta rush over the containers, you really have to haul ass to do it, you miss a split second you're going down. Grans shoot way better, too

I don't have this game but i watched a gameplay of it many years ago. Now that Jedi Academy and Jedi Outcast are on PS4, I want to rewatch Kyle's and Luke's Academy full story again since, in my opinion, is one of the greatest story of the Expanded Universe. There’s a “glitch” with the secondary fire of the crossbow which makes it a very powerful sniping weapon.

The Thermal Detonator Grans are the worst in the first two levels because a lot of times you just never know where they're coming from. And yeah, haha, those Rodians, they're probably the funniest enemies in this game. They can never be taken seriously.

i kind of always felt like the secret at 13:30 was kind of silly to be honest(at least the apparent way to get it) but then now that i think about it some of them are a bit dumb in general where you have to fall from a really high height to find it. like yes i get it because of video game logic it works but if this was real life while i do not think you would die you would more then likely break your legs or something.

Oh thank God, I never knew how to get to the secret at 13:20. I always saw the Gonk-Droid and the items from a distance but it simply isnt possible to get there if you go the usual route. Thanks for clearing that up. :) By the way, the Graphics may be totally obsolete but i *still* get goosebumps when looking down these freaky chasms!

I just started this game and one thing I can say about this game is that you have to really watch your ammo. In the first game, I never had to really watch my ammo, but I always run out in this game.

Love your walkthrough. It inspired me to reinstall JK for the first time in ages and relive my childhood. I got it working well on my windows 7 machine. I'm not really interested in HD packs because I love the original look of the game. Only problem is my HUD is super itty bitty and it flickers constantly. Where can I get the HUD that you're using? I've been googling all over and I can't find any JK HUD replacement. Would really appreciate your help.

3:14 secret number 1: you could go that way to the secret area, OR you could go down at the elevator there and quickly get off the elevator, saves you the trouble of being carefull not to fall off and die. pretty simple and safe ;)

My favorite level was level 6, I believe, or was it 7? Anyway, my favorite lightsaber dual opponents were Yun, Gorc and Pic, Maw and Sariss, Boc was always too annoying and Jerec was damn near impossible for me to beat, if I could play this again, I think I could beat him and win the game now that I know how to fight him.

I know this is video is old as hell. Just came here because I got stuck. However, I am playing this on OG hardware. running it on an old dell running windows 98. I noticed that the graphics look wayyy better here than they do on my system. Was there some sort of graphical improvement with the steam/gog version of the game or something? I also notice that your health and ammo boxes on the HUD are different. They are squares. Mine are circular.

This Level reminds me of Star Wars: Bounty Hunter Level 3 Chapter 1 Dead or Alive, Meeko. I went through a Cargo Conveyer System on the Outland Station. To find my Bounty who tried to finish me with his ship's laser gun turrets. But took 'em out and the ship crashed. And caught my victim. Meeko: Don't kill, me. Jango Fett:I hate to admit it but you're worth more alive. Meeko: Agh! I'll get you for this, Fett! Payback you hear me?! Roz: Oh, thank you, Jango you're the best. I'll call,it in for you.
