They also had that particular style of blast door on the old Venators. I appreciate that they're supposed to visually highlight the transition from Republic to Empire. But at the same time, those are exactly the kinds of doors you'd expect on a black water combat ship. If there's ever a hull breach, those things are going to *seal* ; whether or not you've cleared them to be on the right side is your own lookout.

About 16:30 female stormtroopers were in star wars for a long time. there is some ledgends novels about a female stormtrooper and how she deals with being in the opressive occuping army during the radicalization of miners unions into rebels on sullust i think.

Yeah, female stormtroopers was something that got retconned a few times in Legends. I remember reading somewhere that the main reason no one thought there were no female stormtroopers was because the armor made it impossible to tell if the wearer was male or female. Female stormtroopers were still pretty rare, but they did exist.

The old lore did imply that Stormtrooper armor in particular was much better at having a wearer survive a blaster bolt rather than kinetic impacts: Not unscathed mind you, every stormtrooper that got shot onscreen got ragdolled even if they survived, so youre still looking at potential concussions and broken bones. But they have decent odds of living afterwards at least, if they get proper medical attention early enough

blaster bolt is also a selectively serious stuff anyway. leia's arm was hit on the endor while she wasn't wearing any armor, she shrugged it off shortly afterwards.

Crazy how different this mission looked for me, I stayed quite high and roped around swinging across ledges etc. Probe droids were my concern up there.

Got to say I think you chose possibly one of the more difficult ways of getting to the data vault. You can just use Nix to move the TIE fighter and navigate across the cat walks, hiding when the droid passes which isn't difficult and then climb the wall around to the other catwalk, take out the one storm trooper there and then waltz into the data vault. I never even thought of going down to the floor but thank you for showing me that was even possible.

@@vegladex The village chief had made a bet with his brother-in-law about food. which resulted in Asterix and Obelix looking for Cesars Laurel Wreath (leaf crown) so they could flaver a roasted boar with it. The 'english' name for the comic might be "Asterix and the Laurel Wreath" I'm from sweden and has a swedish translation of it, so hope it helps.

Dear Jingles, I'm just loving the outlaws series. It's a quirky game with some good and a few not so good bits, but in true Jingles style, it's keeping me chuckling to the end of every episode. Body armor is supposed to work by spreading out impacts across a larger area. Thats great for things like bullets or blaster bolts - instead of taking all that force in one concentrated point, it gets spread around. But your fist (or logs, or rocks) is a lot thicker than a bullet or blaster bolt - armor isn't so great at spreading that force around because it already is spread out.

Jingles. Female Stormtroopers appeared already in multiple videogames to include the Jedi Survivor series. They also appeared in the Mandalorian TV show and multiple subsequent shows since.

Of course, the storm trooper are wearing combat armour with radios, and most likely health monitors and tracking equipment. You'd think they would be able to raise the alarm without going to a panel, but, well, that is how you now they are evil, they are just that bad.

Jam into a joint, zap, done. Sure, that's a second set of animations but it's not that different from the punching takedown.

I'm sure all the gameplay is done being recorded and just split up over episodes, but for everyone else remember that you can send your pet to attack/occupy the attention of one enemy while you knock out the other for an assured double stealth takedown.

These were the toughest Tiefighter ever in Star Wars. Normally you just need to look weird at them and they blow up. :) The takedowns are a bit weird, but guess they were limited by doing non lethal takedowns, but she could do some neck chop, still not very realistic but at least the troopers are not armored there.

They gave a small expanded mention in the Saga Edition supplement Galaxy At War to being rare but more ubiquitous, something like averaging out to three in a battalion. It was in the early 2010s when the big in-universe Expanded Universe lorebooks like Essential Guide To Warfare and Imperial Handbook that the role of female stormtroopers was given its 'modern' incarnation and established some quantum ambiguity. Women still get selected for the Corp in part for the tight tolerances to fit the armor. So you have no idea if any Stormtrooper in those big wide shots is a man or a woman, they all look absolutely the same. But apparently J. W. Rinzler dug out of the Lucasfilm archives a very interesting document while doing his research for his book: When Lucas was looking at handing out the license in 1977, the background document he made stated that female Stormtroopers were rare on the Death Star, but much more common on other Imperial space bases. So we have just about all the pre-Disney list of targets for bitching about lore details we didn't like, lol. George Lucas, Wizards of the Coast, and assorted EU authors. Pick your poison.

​@@Kaarl_Mills In fairness to Jingles, his point about what female Stormtroopers says for the theme's messaging lines up prima facie. But the reality is a bit more complicated than "no, they existed since X." It's equally old point of tension for Star Wars material, something that's been around the entire EU timeframe: More female representation is hard to pull off, and the Empire is unfortunately the easier way. The New Hope cast is pretty large already by fiction standards, even moreso once you throw in Lando. That's hard to make work in a smaller piece of fiction like a novel or a game.* So the authors often took the easy way of just making the Imperial antagonist the female, especially in a post-Endor setting. It's how we'd get the extended Tarkin family, Ysanne Isard, Admiral Daala, and many more, yet not too many new female Rebel characters. Balancing the different needs and themes of Star Wars was just not something everyone in the EU brand was able to do. *Splitting them off to go do their own thing was something the EU authors did try, the problem was that Pretty much every new female character he was put with got turned into a love interest. But *constant horniness* is a separate yet related EU problem.

So I picked this up. The only gripes are that if I have max rep with a sydicate, I expect to be let into their 'restricted' zones. To not be allowed is criminal. The other are the sheer amount of 'steal' missions that require perfect stealth or get booted out. It needs to be done away with an be a stealth until shit hits the fan, then fight your way out. Other then those two, its really not bad.

Ok I am on my own playthrough right now. I haven't watched this yet. But Jingles often says he is crap. Well hot damn I am more crap. Holy shit, I got noticed so I started jumping on the nearest Stormtroopers like a bewildered animal. I shoot with lethal precision but this is a stealth mission and I am a lout of a soldier 😂 and I immediately grabbed the sniper rifle with regard to the last vid, only to find that there were no enemies left. Oh yeah and I took two solid minutes to find that damn cargo bay you found nigh on instantly. I could not leave the damned ship and got caught immediately 6 times on dropping out and rushing underneath no crouch. It struck me as the most direct route with a little cover but no imps wandering around. I'm not just crap, I'm total shit! Oh, first Ubisoft title ever by the way. Loving it but I love Star Wars and favorite character growing up was Han Solo, hands down. I thought Luke was too much of the "could be an axe murderer" type. Legit kinda scared me. Han was down to earth, smart, real. To me. But I'm apparently shit so what do I know? 😂😂😂 OK HOLY SHIT JINGLES YOU CLIMBED ON TOP OF SOME PANELS AND YOU DONT GET SEEN WHAT EVEN! is this a different difficulty level??? I feel like I get caught the instant I leave the ship! Damn but you are not crap, it's me! I swear! 10:36 Holy Shit you find things instantly where I was lost 4 minutes! Lol I was like how is this guard on the balcony NOT just sounding the alarm by now? Where the FUCK am I supposed to go? How do I shut off that energy shield? It must not be that way. Where then do I go? 😂 I was so hapless! 20:25 ok but this is where being shit paid a little bit. There is 8 transparasteel for the taking past the big door and a ladder you can let down, I don't know if that comes handy later .... 41:40 so THAT's why I found a bunch of grenades earlier. I love that some official source or another later tried to explain the "Ewoks take down a legion of the Emperor's finest" by claiming that the Emperor personally mind-controlled his forces - _all of them_ - and so both the ground legion _and_ the Imperial Navy put in such a poor showing in the Battle of Endor because he was distracted by the whole Luke/Vader/getting-thrown-down-a-hole thing. If storm-troopers are the best fighting force in the Imperial ranks it's no wonder the empire keeps getting its ass creamed! In every Star Wars movie I've ever seen, storm-troopers are essentially incompetent cannon fodder being gunned down in their droves by the heroes while proving completely incapable of hitting anything smaller than several barn doors nailed together with their own weapons. They must be the lousiest elite military in the entire galaxy. Life expectancy in a storm-trooper battalion must be short indeed and their veterans reunion parties probably consist of two disabled troopers who didn't die outright and a damaged android.
