In the 'Optimized Settings' section, I made an error regarding Destruction Quality. There is only one setting for Destructions and it should be set to High. However, as mentioned in the video, if you are experiencing performance drops during intense combat, it's best to lower this setting.

Your videos are always very in-depth and you always show the actual impact of all settings on how the game looks. I dislike optimization guides from Hardware Unboxed because they focus almost entirely on the percentile figures instead of showing people inexperienced with visual settings exactly what happens when specific options are changed. Another thing to keep in mind with this game is that not all SSDs are the same. I had texture pop outs, texture delays, slow loading, and audio delay that made the game almost unplayable. This 2.5" SATA SSD (500 MB/s) is fine with other less demanding games. I migrated the game to the internal SSD (NVME PCIE 4x4) and the game ran without issues.

Shadow proxies mostly affects distant shadows, that's why you don't see much difference. Try looking at distant shadows (like shadows on the side of distant hills).

I've managed to run this beautiful game on my 3070 on my 4K OLED using DLSS Balanced and a mix of your optimized settings, HUB and some simple tweaks on the graphics settings cfg file. Looks and runs almost always 50-60 FPS. Enjoying the hell out of this one, looks jaw dropping on the oled. Oh BTW any oled user should add liliums reshade to auto fix HDR black levels.

I'm going to disagree and say that the most demanding area of the game is Myrra Valley on Akiva. I thought i had my own optimized settings tuned pretty well to keep fps between high-60's and 80fps on my RTX3080 with DLSS performance, until I reached one of the vegetation heavy courtyards in Myrra city and my fps tanked to the 50's. I lowered microdetail and scatter density to medium and lowered RT to a mix of medium and high which kept everything above 60fps. Overall I'm pretty happy with how this game looks and runs.

I have a problem understanding. At 3:59 it is mentioned that the FSR to DLSS Frame Gen mod does not work well and ghost artifacts appear around the character. Immediately after that it is mentioned that the game was played mainly with DLSS Frame Gen and that it worked very well. So does it work well or badly? He has a 3060ti, but DLSS Frame Gen basically only works thanks to the mod!? Or are there different mods?

@@User-ty7jt When I mentioned that "DLSS Frame Gen worked very well", I was referring to the official implementation which only works on 40 series GPUs, you can see in the comparison footage (Rivatuner Overlay) that I'm using the 4070 Super not the 3060 Ti.

Thanks for another excellent video. I've heard the gameplay on this one is a bit too touristy EZ, and the story doesnt make up for it; so prob not going to get it even on steep sale, but always interesting to see a new AAAs visuals deconstructed.
