The dialogue from Revenge of the Sith at the end of Vader & Obi-Wan's battle gave me chills. Also hearing Obi-Wan screaming "You were the chosen one!!!" as Vader picks up Obi-San's lightsaber and walks away was also amazing. This was so worth the wait.

This is what I have always wanted from Vader. Powerful, brutal lightsaber swings. In the comics that's what makes him so deadly, his rage and power on how he holds a lightsaber. Vader is suppose to be an absolute tank and run down people with his lightsaber skills and how strong he is in the force. They have blessed me with this reimagining of this fight scene.

Darth Maul did force push in Episode I. I highly recommend seeing Rouge One then A New Hope with this scene edited into it or just pause the movie and watch this. AMAZING and SEEMLESS experience, it works! It really works. Great vid ;).

To answer one of your questions...I would DEFINITELY pay GOOD MONEY 💰 for a re-re-release of OG Star Wars with this level of intensity, effects and quality. If it's a remake like this, yes. It would be bad if they changed the theme of the movie or if they add social justice and political corectness to it. That would be just plain crap. A new hope is still iconic and a very, very good story. It was meant as a stand alone but Lucas integrated it to the others to make the trilogy. So the film is breat, being able to be both a part and a solo story. Certain fights need to be fixed-like this one. You can't have Vader and Obi-wan be slow as fuck. Of course a guy in a heavy suit and an old man are normal to be. Those were the effects. Instead of explaining it with Vader's cautiosness they should just make something like this. However, it has to be only this, since anything would ruin the great story.

Okay time for me to get Star Wars nerdy on you here - no that was not the first time we ever see a Jedi use the force push. If you watch the Clone Wars or Rebels you would see it all the time. I highly recommend watching both of those shows by the way. Some of the best storytelling in all of Star Wars takes place in both of those shows. The person who should be running Star Wars for Disney is the person who directed The Clone Wars and Rebels. Dave Filoni. He should be the Kevin feige of Star Wars. If they ever let Dave Filoni have that role they would topple every franchise. They'd be unstoppable.

fun fact, the Eva rebuilds aren't remakes. They're sequels. Eva is a groundhog day loop that goes from Shinji getting the call to go to tokyo all the way to instrumentality. It's why things are so different. Well, that and Anno hates his fans and wanted to express his displeasure with their understanding of his story. It's why movie 3 is so... yeah. He expressly made 333 to fuck with the people who didn't get the point of the original series.

I honestly prefer it if instead of being a weightless blade of light, the lightsaber should have extreme mass and weight. As if it is a weapon only a force enhanced fighter could use because the mere act of swinging it breaks the laws of physics and reality.

I love this reimagine. I've seen it now more then I can count. Would I want this to replace the original scene? No, only cause what was created then has a special place in my heart. Yes, the original lightsaber battle is underwhelming, this version is more brutal, and packs a powerful punch, while the original is slow, lacks weight, and doesn't have a lot of emotion in the battle itself. Empire, and ROTJ learned from A New Hope, because the battles in those were awesome, and much more powerful. This is an amazing alternative, and part of me wishes it was like this. I just don't like the idea of totally replacing the original. Maybe I just have a nostalgic tint over my eyes, but I just can't erase the original version, even though this one does not taint it in any way, and in fact does a lot to improve it. I'm conflicted lol.
