We had this film when I was a kid. I also had a Star Wars Movie Viewer, the little plastic toy with a hand crank, and the cartridge that came with it (never bought any of the additional cartridges). When it broke, Dad took the film and spliced it to the end of this one. Even silent, it was great to have access to Star Wars in the days before home video.

I had this Super 8 around 1979 and watched it every chance I got. I hated the fact that the credits took up almost 30 seconds of precious screen time. I also wished my parents had spent the extra 15 bucks for the color version.

I had this. Black and white, the truncated subtitles, lol.... bare pickings, it was awful then and awful now! Loved how they it was a practice to condense and edit movies back into silent, one-reelers. Thanks for the memories, I still have a few of these laying around.
