Not Ach-to. Per Wookiepedia: Bal'demnic was an ocean planet adorned with rocky tropical islands in the Bak'rofsen system of the Auril sector, located within the Outer Rim Territories. The hostility of its native Kon'me species, together with its extremely harsh climate, discouraged most people from ever visiting the planet, despite the beauty of its giant rock cliffs, pristine beaches, and vast azure oceans. It was mostly of interest to cartographers, xenobiologists, and fisherfolk, until knowledge of the planet's rich deposits of cortosis ore fell into the hands of Sith Lords Darth Tenebrous and Darth Plagueis.

I think Sol knew it was Mae the moment they hugged... and after that he was just testing her. The scars on Qimir's back look like they were made by a lightwhip, so Vennestra was probably his Master Manny Jacinto was superb this episode. I need to watch the episode again, cause there was a lot being told by Sol facial expressions and i think they warrant a closer look. Also this episode seems to support my theory that Osha is the dark side twin, since she always seems to be leaning towards the most negative emotions, as Qimir pointed, while Mae, when having the chance, leans towards the more positive. The whole fire thing truly derailed their lives and paths

I could definitely see those scars coming from a lightwhip. I kind of don’t want that because it makes the galaxy smaller, but it does track.

7:48 Sol went directly to save Osha. Last time he was sent back for debriefing, Kelnacca was murdered. Osha is too important for Sol to bother with red tapes with the council. Both Stockholm syndrome is at play, but Qimir is also espousing subjective truths. Labels created by the order could be just semantics. In the real world, labels like "woke" are weaponized politically.

I totally get the "I don't have time to discuss this in a committee" mentality. My issue was with the fact he should still think Osha is on the planet. They gave us zero indication as to why he'd think differently, so leaving makes no sense. Mae, Pip, Basil, nor Sol witnessed the master take her or leave the planet.

They needed that close up shot of the vanquished Jedi in order to establish raised stakes in the plot.

A dozen dead Jedi doesn't raise the stakes already?

@@OneProtagonist Haha! The director wanted to imprint that very point in our minds with the lingering closeups of our dearly beloved Jedi lying dead. The fact that we are debating/discussing this shot proves the point IMO. Like you, I very much regret that the padwan Jecki Lon did not survive the encounter with the Sith Lord. Her fighting skills are wonderfully acrobatic and visually aesthetic, especially given her relative youth.

Osha is the true acolyte if she turns to the dark side then this is a show about the dark side and Qimir could be a character from the High Republic books cause he said he was a jedi a really long time ago probably using the dark side to slow down his aging

I'm a little torn on this episode. Qimir and Osha were definitely the stronger part of the episode. I really wanted Sol and Mae's part to be better. I feel like they just don't know how to write Mae as a character. I will say the environments and tech designs in this show have been incredible. This universe feels lived in. I just feel like for everything this show does fantastically, it has something that just falls flat. Its not bad by any means, but the characters do dumb things or the way things happen dont make sense. I feel like this script needed to go through one more draft.

@surunitemiakanni-oye4346 what if Qimir is one of Vernestra's padawans not the one from the books cause someone reminded me he looks entirely different

Just one more thing: I don't think the length of the episode is the problem, we got amazing 20 something episodes in Clone Wars and Rebels, filled with lore, emotion and Force goodies.

I honestly would have figured since Mae took Osha's place, that Qimir would find and take Osha. Or maybe he feels guilty about it and knows Vernestra is going there. IDK I have a super crazy theory that Darth Tenebrous may have used Sol somehow for midichlorians and cloned him creating Qimir. I also think Tenebrous somehow fathered the girls.
@OneProtagonist5 ай бұрын
I’ve gone over it my head several times today and right now the only explanation for Sol I have is that because he didn’t feel Osha die, he believes Qimir must have her. With his well established connection to her (now that it’s working again) I think it’s as likely an explanation as I’m going to get.

Qmir is the only character I care about now... I'm glad you're still so enthused, though :)

Why we always gotta be turning the droids evil??! So was Vernestra Qimir's former master? Those gotta be light whip scars on his back. Episode was short and slow...but there typically comes a breather after a week like the last, before ramping up again. I heard someone say the planet Qimir and Osha are on has healing waters or something, so it's possible Qimir is older than he seems. Plus, Tenebrous messed with Plagueis a TON. Qimir want the power of 2. The rule of two....or a dyad. Once Qimir turns Osha, he will succeed in earning his Darth title... Darth Plagueis It'll take Palpi to kill him
@OneProtagonist5 ай бұрын
Yeah, that line about his Jedi days being a long time ago lends credence to the idea he’s much older and using means to extend his life.
@lisarn65523 ай бұрын
Do you feel the rule of two is same as power of two?
@OneProtagonist3 ай бұрын
Great question! I feel like Plagueis believed two was an important number (possibly stemming from Osha&Mae). The power of two is a force dyad IMHO, while the rule of two (master & apprentice) is Plagueis artificially creating one (in a sense) which would be way less powerful.
@lisarn65523 ай бұрын
@@OneProtagonist That makes sense. Would the power of two or dyad be more of a partnership then? Is that what the witches coven was doing? Combining their powers?
