My main problem is this movie feels like it’s trying to pretend like The Force Awakens never happened. They make Snoke a throw away, Luke is barely bothered by Han dying and really not prevalent at all. The First Order is wrecking shop despite suffering huge losses at the end of 7. The scroll didn’t even mention anything to do with how momentum shifted to be as it is. YIt’s just really sloppy. When you think of sequels it’s not good. Blade Runner is the perfect example, along with Empire, as to how to go about creating something new within the cannon you’ve got to work with, and this feels like it just didn’t care for anything that came before it.

Yea, it's like they had two different people write two movies without knowing what the other was doing. Only the characters involved and one would be a sequel lol.

David Short I completely agree with you. I had the same problem because it feels like The Last Jedi ignores The Force Awakens and it feels so disconnected from The Force Awakens. It didn't carry on what The Force Awakens started, instead it felt like it pressed the reset button. Enjoyed parts of it but left feeling meh and disappointed. And you're right Blade Runner 2049 was a great sequel, it was different yet It still carried on the legacy of the original Blade Runner while standing on its own.
@TheDarman5 жыл бұрын
David Short I actually think it felt, to me, like an even more subpar Return of the Jedi situation. I always loved the Luke storyline in that movie (and I mean LOVED it) and liked the other stuff, but always felt it was a little lackluster-like it was just trying to give the other characters SOMETHING to do while Luke was doing his thing. The same was true here. I quite liked the Rey Jedi stuff, with the lone exception of Luke, who had this arc of becoming a Jedi in the original trilogy, going back on his development when he was going to kill Kylo. But the Resistance stuff was just bad. Finn and Rose’s subplot was really bad (except for the ship stuff-I liked that they failed and, thematically, I liked that it fit the message overall). I think it does make sense the First Order has the momentum on its side. The New Republic was decimated. The First Order only lost its new weapon. It is hardly ideal, certainly, but the opposition government is shambles and it doesn’t have a standing army. The Resistance is poorly outfitted and on the run as the First Order hunts them down. On its own, it is a good idea for a story. The issue is it isn’t explored too deeply.
@KylerRamos7 жыл бұрын
I feel most of the disappointment stems from the weird easter egg/hype culture built around analyzing 3 frames of footage from a trailer. People spend a whole yer theorizing and analyzing and creating a fan fiction in their head that nothing could possible live up too. Like in the original trilogy not regarding the prequels, who was palpatine, who were darth vaders parents and why was he so powerful. Not everything needs a purpose or has to be connected to each other, its fine if things are the way they are. Not saying the movie perfect at all but not surprised at all at the massive disappointments.

I watched 7 last night, some of it is kinda lost honestly. 7 felt like an apology and more Star Wars, still good, but this felt like NEW Star Wars which is way more exciting to me. Excellent film that is part 2 of a trilogy, so it doesn't necessarily need to be a grand story with a definitive end goal. A lot of people didn't like Empire when it first came out too so that's worth considering. I love that Snoke and Rey are nobodies. Seems like nobody wanted them to be connected to anything and now that they aren't its a problem?

Bias is hardly present. No one who actually has serious complaints cares about Rey's parents being no one, it was just stupid to make it a plot point that wasn't addressed in Episode 7 with all of the buildup and like 19 prior references. No one cares that Snoke wasn't Mace Windu or Darth Plagues, they cared that he's like the most powerful force wielder in the series killed off early with no information about him at all. Btw, killed off by Kylo Ren being disciplined enough to mentally hide his true intentions and feelings from Snoke actively searching his mind, even though Kylo is the most emotionally and mentally unstable and undisciplined character in the series... like what? I could go on and on about specifically why the plot and points were ludicrous, unearned, unsatisfying, and nonsensical without caring about it meeting theories, but we would be here a while.

****SPOILER THOUGHT'S**** Firstly, they made Finns character entirely useless in this film. They sent him off to disable a tracker literally just to give him something to do. what would have been so much cooler is that the First Order had a plant on the ship which, and Po & Finn have to try and solve that problem Snoke Couldn't agree more. This guy is able to manipulate the force to the point he can get Rey and Kylo to see each other across the galaxy, yet he can't sense that Kylo is maneuvering the lightsaber through the force. Would have been amazing if Kylo had turned in that moment, snoke sensed it and activated the Lightsaber himself, and it turned into an epic duel between Snoke and Rey & Kylo, bit like Darth Maul vs Obi-Wan & QGJ from episode 1. Leia Had a good 3 times when they could have wrote out Leia with purpose. In the scene where the ship blows up from the tie fighters bombs when Kylo refused to shoot, that would have been perfect, and would have suited the plot of Kylo being conflicted. The second time is when they are evacuating the ship, she should have stayed and sacrificed herself so the rebellion could get to safety. What could set the spark of rebellion better than the leader doing all she can to save the people?? Would have been great to see Overall, it's an okay movie, but didn't feel very Star Wars, I have come away feeling conflicted. I can't decide if I like it, think I need to rewatch it to get a better idea if I appreciate what's be done, or if it's a no

I totally agree. And with Yoda and Palpatine people might end up disagreeing with you because of the prequels, but that means they still didn’t have backstory for 20 years
@zero_one62977 жыл бұрын
It's not just that he's meant to be mysterious, there's a few better reasons: A) He's supposedly the one who turned Kylo Ren to the dark side, and in a movie which is uspposed to be about exploring Kylo and Luke's relationship, we need more information about the person who intervened and caused that conflict; and B) There are hints that he's meant to be not only unbelievably powerful in the dark side of the force, but that he's truly ancient and that Darth Sidious was in some sense aware/scared of him.
@danorganplayer7 жыл бұрын
He was absolutely no more built up than the emperor was. Means nothing, they served a purpose to the plot respectively for Vader as did Snoke for Kylo. People went into this wanting their fan wishes to come true and that's why so many people are disappointed. That's on them. The story progressed with this whether you guys want to believe that or not, you learn a lot even if it's things you didn't want to happen, and it changed the fabric of what goes into the next movie and the plan very obviously included Leia....which is unfortunate because Carrie died.
@chicagofan767 жыл бұрын
Bruce Wayne who says it’s going unanswered? In 2+ years they might explain him. If they don’t then I’ll be on your side. The 2nd movie in a trilogy is not about answers. The only real answer we got was about Kylo turning on Luke. Kylo lies to Rey about who her parents are that they are nobody.

I don’t understand the hate for this movie, I thought it was amazing, easily top 3 Star Wars of all time. You’re right that it isn’t a normal Star Wars movie but that’s the point, it’s was a character piece, Kylo REN and Rey furthered their characters so much. Also the action scene with Rey and kylo (if you seen the movie you know what that is) is one of the best moments in the franchise.

My notes: *spoilers* 1. Comedy was great, very Star Wars. 2. Agree about casino scenes, felt more about the set than the story and characters until the very end when the kiddo feels the call of the force with his broom stick in hand. 3. Agree on Leia, sort of, her dying bathed in moonlight at the hands of Kylo's plan, but not his execution seemed to fit well, but in the end, he needs to be chasing her. He lacks real purpose at this point in the movie, and his weakness for her would be overpowered by his anger at his uncle, and he'd turn full bad guy if she died there. Anakin did not become Vader until he learned that Padme had died (and their children, as he thought at the time) and everything he had done that he felt was "bad" had been for nothing, and that there was no "greater good" left to fight for and served Palpatine blindly. 3. All of the scenes around Kylo and Leia, even if they seem ridiculous, are to demonstrate his inner conflict, I see him as Ben during these moments where he's just not doing enough to destroy the Resistance. 4. The Rey and Kylo stand-offs are superb. Despite the appearance of a resolution that Kylo has chosen darkness and Rey chooses light, they are *still* in conflict. We still don't know who Rey's parents are, and neither does she. Kylo is shredded by his uncle's abandonment, him killing his own father, and the idea of ending his mother's life. He is desperate for family, which is why he tries so hard to follow in Vader's footsteps. The only balance that exists between Dark and Light as the film ends is that the both of them are lost and alone, searching for their place in the universe. They are fighting on two sides of a single coin (this pattern is reinforced with DJ pointing out that the arms dealers sell weapons to both the the first order and the resistance). 5. Snoke. Currently he seems to have served three purposes: 1) To bring balance by lifting darkness against the once victorious Jedi, 2) To turn Ben Solo to the dark side, and 3) to bridge Rey and Kylo Ren so that one of them (Rey?) presumably becomes the next Darth. Now, if this were a typical trilogy arc, this is exactly what would have happened. Rey or Kylo would have been victorious in the battle of what feels like two siblings fighting for a father's love, and the next chapter would be the hopeless, fallen resistance to fight a super power, guided by the level-headed Snoke as the emperor figure, guiding his new powerful Darth to inter-galactic domination. Instead, the emperor figure is cut down, as Kylo has risen above his conflict with himself over the dark side and fight for the love of a father (destroying the past), and wants to fight only for himself. 6. Who is the villain here? While it's easy to simply see, ok, he's the villain now, because of his last stand with projection Luke, literally the only reason this distraction works is because that while he was no longer conflicted and bound to need someone like Snoke, he is still angry and heart-broken by Luke giving up on him, and doesn't truly want to end his mother's life - perhaps he doesn't even want to end the Jedi, per say, but wants some other sort of resolution in which balance is lost. 7. Luke's not a character I have much complaint about. I thought his projection was well done, and if you really think back, he was the only one not lifting red sand from the planet's surface during the fight - aside from the fact he looked like his younger self. It made sense for him to die (in the same way Yoda and Obi Wan did with fading), and I imagine he will return as a force ghost. I felt the theme of darkness and light in balance in his story in this piece as well. 8. The "love" thing was weird, and I didn't really care about it. I liked Rose's character a lot, but kind of hate that she was reduced to fighting for her celebrity crush to live in the end of the episode. She could have derailed Finn for reasons other than love. I don't really think Finn should have been flying into the thing at all. The whole scene felt out of place and only there to serve this love story made for fanfiction. 9. Poe did become more of a leader in the end. He called his team to fall back when it was clear it was an impossible task, even though Finn ignored the call. When I listen to you guys talk about the movie we both saw last night, it feels like we watched an entirely different story. I am left wondering what the hell is going to happen in Episode 9 and if there will be three more, because the First Order has no leader, there is no Darth, Luke has passed, and both Ben and Rey are intertwined in this feeling of loss and lack of place in the galaxy. Also, my 10 year old loved it and I saw the glimmer in her eyes behind those 3D glasses I had when I was a kid watching Episode 5. Even if I had hated it (I loved it), that would have told me it was probably I who outgrew the Star Wars.
@xcryosonx7 жыл бұрын
For Episode 9, my prediction is they will play up the grey areas a little more which was explored in this film. Kylo has a moment of floating back to the dark side when he returns to the First Order, sure. But there is something more to all his actions in this movie.. He cant bring himself to kill Leia, he turns on his master (could have been for good or evil, I see it as him jsut wanting to be free), he pauses at Rey's offers and accusations, just like she pauses at him... hes very clearly flipping back and forth, something will arise to bring conflict of course, as you need that tension in any movie like this, but something bigger is happening with Ren I feel.

THANK YOU!!! You guys voiced so many of the problems that I had with this film. I found it kind of entertaining, but ultimately so disappointing!! When Kevin was venting I was saying ‘Thank You Kevin!’ out loud! The thing I really don’t understand is why the critics have rated it so highly? This was a mess! I feel exactly the same as you guys, after TFA I couldn’t wait for the next film, after this one, I really don’t care about the next one. And that makes me sad :(

The biggest problem with this movie looking back is that noone knows where the story is going, including Disney. If we find out later who snoke is, itll only bc Abrams is directing and the outcry from fans. Even then itll probably be a throw away line....

Watched the movie tonight. Everyone outside of Tim is categorically wrong. Kevin and Nick’s points actually made me agitated because they are complaining about things that are in other Star Wars movies(including the ones they adore). I think this is just as good and bad as Force Awakens. *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* I love that he killed Snoke. It was surprising, and makes Kylo his own man. A true building moment for him. Also, the fact that Rey is probably a nobody is amazing, because not every main character NEEDS to be fucking special. She’s made herself somebody important, and isn’t manufactured by her heritage.

I think snoke let him kill him. I think it's a subtle pick up as to what's to come. Just my 2 cents any way

XxCrankyMoosexX Wouldn't Rey being a silver spoon take away her specialness? She's special BECAUSE she is just a normal person with Force powers. She was clearly being sarcastic in TFA when she's speaking about her "classified" talk to BB8 but for some reason, it turned into "not sarcasm, Rey's origin is ACTUALLY CLASSIFIED OMG" That's spectacularly odd.

Not that bad Tim? I thought it was awful. Rey is a mary sue and has no character development or growth as a character. Luke didn't just pick up a light saber and become a Jedi. He also was rash and rushed to save his friends only to lose his arm and have to be saved by his friends. Rey? She seemingly can overcome any obstacle without any difficulty. Last Jedi completely throws established canon to the wind. It also completely failed to capitalize on arcs that were set up in Force Awakens and shit on the character of Luke.

I think the ultimate issue that has plagued both The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi is that it was decided that the empire fell post Return of the Jedi and the time gap is what people are interested in and the ramifications of the death of the emperor and the fall of the Empire. TFA and TLJ have had to find a way for the good guys to be the rebels again with no clear or reasonable explanation, and it feels weak and a rehash of what we had seen. HAD episode 7 had opened with the rebels still on the run from the empire, with support waining through galactic apathy and hopelessness, add on a good and intriguing reason why Luke has gone into exile and gave up the ways of the force, for instance, if he felt the draw of the dark side and gave it up to prevent falling and then and only when Rey came, unshaped, loose and full of potential in the force could it reinvigorate Luke to return, train Rey and ultimately sacrifice himself at the end of episode 8 mirroring Ben Kenobi. I feel we would have a better journey to episode 9. Right now, I have no idea where they will or could go with episode 9.

Whole heartedly agree with this review. I told my friends the exact problems that I had with this film that were discussed in the video. I hated the fact that they turned Rose into a shoe horned love interest. Her sister died in the beginning as a war her, so when she meets Finn she see this hero and is reminded of her sister and thanks him for his valor and bravery, and goes on about how she is doing her part and how she stooping people from abandoning the ship, then to see Finn do and kind of lose her shit. The Finn gets to explain why and as an engineer has an epiphany and is able to figure out it is done. Boom, an in you've done it so tell me why they hell didn't they go to Holdo and explain, well they needed something to do so okay I'll concede they talk to Po and Maz. That that nonsense happens on the planet and they rush it which is really shitty considering the scene with the little kids is really important to the film as it has them showing what didn't light the spark of the rebellion was Luke Skywalker and his grand battle but an ex storm trooper and an engineer, which gives her character meaning and does a good job at in the end when you look back at. But its gets over shadowed and turned to crap at the end when she pushes Finn and puts herself in a goddamn coma! Don't spout that we only win if we are able to save the ones we love and not through sacrifice, your character that you were building up was not heading in that direction and the way it should have ended was with her pushing Finn out the way and instead taking his place instead. Hell I liked Rose to certain extent but after watching the movie and leaving I instantly hated her as a shoe horned love interest.

Just got back from watching this. The movie is very good. Probably better than The Force Awakens. Miles better than Rogue One, which was a steaming pile of crap. The fact that uber Star Wars fans don't like this is a testament how good of a movie it is. Most of you all loved Rogue One, which was just hamfisted fan service. The Last Jedi is just a good movie through and through.
@jonathanglover227 жыл бұрын
Where to start? Nonsensical plot. Boring characters. Overuse of fan service. The movie is literally about stealing the plans to Death Start. Seeing how the original trilogy showed the Death Start getting blown up (cause they stole the plans) we as an audience know they'll succeed. So, cool, it's a simple story. What they needed to do was have interesting characters. They didn't. They played on tropes, gave us no reason to care about our lead, and then killed them off. The movie's pacing was similar to Atomic Blonde, which was also a bad movie. If you haven't seen that, watch it, then pay attention to how quickly you reach for your phone cause it's so fucking boring and the plot so convoluted. Compare that to the Last Jedi, it was the exact opposite.

I disagree with you guys in a lot of ways really. Not only do I think the movie is great overall but a lot the moments you didn't like are the things I thought was so refreshing for the Star Wars universe. When it comes to performances, this movie clearly has the best acting in the whole series IMO. Controversial? Yes. Did I love it? Yes. What I will say is, this movie has pretty deep lows but it also has some of the most amazing moments in the Star Wars series. Overall, I think it was a great movie that really changed things up but it does have some very obvious flaws. I just love the way Ryan Johnson finally started to explore new ideas and a gray zone between Light and Dark. Is it one of the best Star Wars movies? Probably not. But as I said, I still love it.
@rappleby917 жыл бұрын
The gray zone between light and dark only existed for like 2 seconds. The end of the movie it is just back to the same. Very clearly Kylo is dark and rey is light. Kyle is gray while he is blasting 1299324234 lazers into Luke? The gray moment would have been cool if they didn't ruin it later in the movie.

The Last Jedi reviews are just as bad as the Mario Odyssey reviews... journalists whom get early access feel so elitist to just give out a 97%. They completely wasted Snoke, Phasma lady, and even Luke. The whole thing with the coder. My God... There was 0 plot. Who are these people and why should we care about any of them? The humor all fell completely flat. Luke milking some dinosaur? It felt like they just wanted to be a marvel movie... without the emotional setup. Snoke was built up to be the big bad of the trilogy... and then he just dies by an apprentice, yet Snoke didnt sense the force or foresee it? Rey's parents? Rey and Kylo teaming up for no reason and then going back to wanting to kill each other? Finally the scene with Luke getting the lightsaber and then just throwing it? Leia flying in space without oxygen? This random dumb kid sweeping? There were cool scenes, but as a whole, the plot and direction and revelations were hugely disappointing. TFA felt like omg we need to see Last Jedi... but at the end of Last Jedi, there's 0 stakes going forward.

At least it made it look like the rebellion's sacrifice mattered, which creates so much more impact to a New Hope and how they destroyed the death star. By the end of this movie they just blast of transports of a bunch of rebels like it's nothing because in the next film they will add a few hundred randos to the rebellion which is only 20 people now. You could almost cut huge parts of it out of the story just to make a better next film.

It's weird because after the opening night viewing I held a meh view of the movie--different from the extreme opinions most people harbored. I saw it again about a week later and absolutely loved it. The moments that stood out as bad to me the first time through weren't as bad the second time for some reason. Even the infamous casino scene, which I was fighting to stay awake for the first time, was slightly more entertaining, and I enjoyed the political commentary about the weapons industry that I missed initially. The stupid scene where Rose stopped Finn from sacrificing himself was pretty much the only thing that held up as bad, even if I ultimately enjoyed Finn's natural, awkward reaction to the kiss. All in all, I cannot pretend to have not enjoyed this movie thoroughly.

At this point, they shouldn’t make Rey’s parents known Star Wars characters, but smoke could still easily be Plagueis. I just think people are more offended by what happened in it. It hurt their feelings and that's completely ok but to say it's prequels bad which were honest to god shit movies as a whole is why he comes across hyperbolic to me. I've seen a shit load of different opinions about star wars in the last 48 hours and it's honestly changed my perspective on whether to defend this one or not. There are people that love this one and people that hate it, there are people that hate rogue one and others that say it's the best star wars ever. It'll never end

This comment section proves that provided the movie has "Star Wars" in the title, everyone will just eat it up. This movie was pointless. But can we stop pretending that every new Star Wars movie is gods gift to man?
@danorganplayer7 жыл бұрын
How the hell did nothing happen? A lot happened, it almost felt like a finale of the series. The middle chapter is a stepping stone and this did that just fine.
@shanrimoldi67277 жыл бұрын
dan g look at TFA. The movie starts, and by the end of it, you understand these new characters perfectly. You understand what drives them, and their reasons for doing the things they do. Now look at TLJ. Finn has absolutely no growth in this movie. Zero. You start to see shades of what Rey is really like, but it doesn't explore it enough for me to say there is deep character growth there. Every cool mystery that TFA sets up, TLJ completely ignores it. (Spoilers, I guess). Phasma? Forget it. Who is Rey? Nevermind, she's nobody. And the worst offender by FAR was Snoke. The Empire has been reborn, and is under control of a new, mysterious, powerful being. But don't worry about it, we're literally just gonna ignore that. Yes, it's the second part of a trilogy, but if you leave the theatre saying "don't worry, it will make sense after the next one", then the movie hasn't done its job. Plain and simple.
@jacobsaavedra29857 жыл бұрын
Shan Rimoldi I think people hyped up Phasma a little much but to be fair they did make it seem like she was a main secondary villain. I really liked that Rey’s parents are insignificant, it was unpredictable and I think will add to her character growth going forward. It would have been extremely easy for them to make her the child of Luke or Obi. I really don’t mind the death of Snoke because I am excited to see where Bens character is going.
@justintlme16297 жыл бұрын
I am with you guys on everything so far, about 20 mins in, but I think you have Rey’s parents wrong. Kylo and Rey are siblings. Kylo was lying to her to make her feel weak and small so she would come with him.

We still don't know shit about the MAIN PROTAGONIST 2 movies into a trilogy. It sucks because Daisy Ridley gives good performances, but the only things we know is she's from Jakku and powerful. Why is she important to this story? Why is she being dragged into this story that spans for over 50 years. The only explanation we get is she's powerful. Kylo is the only character introduced in TFA that has any sort of depth or reason for why he's being dragged into this 9 movie story arc. The only good new character IMO.
@rappleby917 жыл бұрын
I think Rey doesn't need that story. The truth is her involvement appears to be by circumstance. But if you use the general logic of star wars you could say it was the force and the power within her that got her roped into it. The universe is huge, I hate that everyone is someones kid. Universe is too big for everything that matters to only come from one or two family trees.
@lKingCarnage7 жыл бұрын
Main protagonist of a trilogy doesn't need backstory. Only Star Wars fans make this shit up. I'm not saying I need to know everything about her life, but come on. Imagine reading or watching harry Potter, but not having anything explained about his backstory other than he's special and lived in his aunt and uncles stairs. So dumb

*Spoilers* I think Snoke still could be Plagueis. I mean it would actually make sense why they killed him in the second movie if he could bring himself back to life. Couldn't agree more about everything that was said. It's hard to tell whether or not it's a victim of hype, but I just came out of the theatre unsatisfied. In terms of the Episode III comparison, at least that pushed the story forward. This was just a really long chase scene that essentially hit the reset button in the middle of a trilogy. Hopefully JJ can end it strong with IX. Also some of the force projection and lightning stuff was established in Rebels, so I don't necessarily have problems with those expansions into the mythos.

I also felt the movie felt really really small. Like they did all this shit in only 6 hours??? Okay... and that mining planet with the deserted rebel base just happened to be there? C’mon man...

It was a good movie, I think they may have went a bit overboard in the comedy department and I strongly believe people who love the originals are probably not going to like The Last Jedi, probably even more than they likely didn’t like Force Awakens. I agree at quite a few points it didn’t feel like Star Wars And I also think some things unfolded, concluded and moved too fast. I don’t know, I’m torn. But all in all as a movie it was good but when thinking about it as part of the Star Wars franchise as a whole, I’m thinking not as good then. My overall rating would be 3-4 stars out of 5 stars. Meanwhile Force Awakens was a solid 4-5 stars.

I thought it all i felt like star wars. I mean, I kinda take issue with the idea of it needing to "feel like" whatever anyway. It makes things so restrictive for evolving the content and trying new things. I mean, nothing felt out of place in the movie, so to me, that makes it all "feel like star wars" because it simply is.

Part of what makes the originals so good is the camaraderie between Luke, Han, Leia, etc...whereas this movie splits all of them up for the entirety of it. The end of the movie is the very first time that Rey has even met Poe.

I thought Star Wars: The Last Jedi was an excellent movie that takes a while to process and needs a second viewing. There is a lot to unpack from The Last Jedi. This movie, not a remake of The Empire Strikes Back, is completely different than any other Star Wars movie but yet it feels like Star Wars. It echoes themes from the originals (e.g., The Return of the Jedi) and some from the prequels (especially Attack of the Clones), as well as a couple of elements from the novel, Leia, Princess of Alderaan. The humor=s wonderful. John Williams' music was awesome and not rushed liked it was for The Force Awakens. The movie has several unexpected moments and "This does not turn out like you think" (said Luke Skywalker). Carrie Fisher, in her final full movie, gave an epic performance. The filming and choreography are fantastic. Of course, no movie, no Star Wars movie, is perfect and it's too easy to nick pick things, especially about the plot. This film may well divide fans of the originals vs fans of these new Disney sequels. So I ask: Do you want to see the same stuff over and over, or be surprised? Star Wars needs to reinvent itself a little to keep things fresh, while still maintaining what we love about it, which I fully believe The Last Jedi did.

Kevin is 100% right. This is just a bad movie and a bad Star Wars movie.

I've never agreed with these guys more, I was sad when Colin left because often he was the only one I could agree with, but I'm on the same page as these guys.

I unfortunately agree with you guys. The fact that they didn’t respect the mysterious questions raised in episode 7 is why I didn’t care for it as much. 6.5/10 for me. Thanks for the video guys!

Just got home from the cinema. Completely agree with the boys, so many leaps in logic, cringey dialogue, characters motivations dont make sense, way too much CG. Only character I thought got better was Kylo Ren, his stuff was interesting. Will probably not be watching it again.

Superman Leia sucks How did they get Leia back inside without an air lock? How wasn't ramming the ship at light speed to snokes ship plan A? That destroyed multiple ships. Finn storyline was bad and broke the pacing. Felt like a scene from Kingdom of the crystal skull Phasma and Snoke characters were useless Rey's parents... Why didn't the First Order kill Finn and Rose after they crashed? They were completely vulnerable out in the open Porgs only in there to sell toys Luke was willing to sacrifice himself to save Vader, but was immediately ready to kill Ben Solo First Order ships had no shields apparently, so Poe can take out all the turrets Why did they just send 3 fighters to attack the resistance? They almost killed Leia with 1 attack, but they gave up Force broom kid, ugh....

Are you guys trying to pull some Polygon Last of Us shit? Did you watch the same movie as me? Although I do agree with the "breaking of reality" some parts did feel out of place, but overall I thought it was great

It was a fun movie in the moment - but then you leave the cinema and realise it had all these terrible plot holes
@subzero13137 жыл бұрын
Maximus Derp yeah, honestly that's how I feel. After watching a few reactions people have brought up fair criticisms, that I agree with and I kind of feel like it's a death by a 1000 cuts going on

This movie was shit on every level possible. I am no SW fan, but if you are an SW fan you either realize how terrible it is or you are in denial.

Everything Kevin and Nick said was spot on. I am a mega SW fan and was even more disappointed than they were. Also where is Kevin's First Order jacket from? That looks pretty sweet, Big Dog.
