Director Bill Breithaupt first saw Star Wars when he was only 7 years old. He probably saw it over 100 times in the movie theaters and a billion times on VHS and DVD.
Bill Breithaupt had the realization at a very early age that photography and filmmaking were what he wanted to do in life. By age 10 he was enrolled in classes, and made his first film "Trick or Treat". This film was screened at the Mill Valley Film Festival.
With a competitive streak ever-present in his character, as well as a high level of energy, Bill was involved in many sports including swim team, soccer and skateboarding. Skateboarding became his passion. As his skills grew, followed by his trophy collection, he decided to attract the attention of sponsors by filming his incredible tricks. Bills idea worked, and under the sponsorship of such companies as Independent Trucks, Skate Rags Clothing Co., Stylized Sun Glasses and Walker Skateboards, Bill went on to win more skate competitions, bigger trophies and even more sponsors.
He studied graphic arts at the Art Institute of So. California, film/audio techniques at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, FL, computer animation under Jimmy Hayward at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. He began his career making videos: music, modeling, wedding, corporate and extreme sports, you name it, he has probably caught it on film.
None of that compared to the footage he began capturing in 1999 when he was invited to by a friend to attend and film the annual Burning Man Festival held in Black Rock City, Nevada. What started off as fulfilling a friend’s request for a souvenir video of the event became a passion for Bill. He passed out the edited footage to friends, who passed it to friends, who gave it to their friends, etc. Stoked by the floods of compliments, Bill began his own tradition.
It was in the year 2002 that he made his breakthrough film "Aqua Burn". At the Santa Cruz Film Festival showcasing films about Burning Man, only one month after the festival itself, "Aqua Burn" was premiered and garnered a standing ovation from the 300+ crowd.
"Aqua Burn" later went on to take 1st place in the Coney Island Festival. When he is not making killer films he can be found tearin’ up the slopes in Lake Tahoe with his friends. The Scuba Dive Master, with over 150 dives under his belt, is also fond of taking trips to Monterey, CA to catch a few shots of the "locals" with his underwater camera.

this is the best reaction I have seen. I know all fans are excited, but those who saw A New Hope in '77 (I am assuming you did) are the ones this will this movie will touch the most...and I can see here it really did. I actually had tears when you had tears because I can feel how your heart is filling up with pure classic childhood SW nostalgia for the first time in 32 years...your expressions speak a thousand words and really makes me happy. This type of pure love is what I'm grateful for with Star Wars (and other films which had this kind of impact), that it can bring this kind of happiness to people all over the world and makes ua forget about our troubles and woes and just become children again, awed and inspired by wonder and imagination with our favourite heroes and villains. THIS REACTION is the best I've ever seen, of any movie, game, trailer, doesn't mater. its the most touching I've ever witnessed. for so many reasons too. beyond the tears, BC plenty of people cry. when you watch something like star wars, that so many of us are so passionate about, its easy to cry. but when you watch him, ill call him Mr. Bill, about halfway through, you can sense he has lost all care for the fact he was making a video for thousands and maybe millions to watch. He no longer was thinking about that. He was in awe of what his eyes were witnessing. my favorite part was when his expression changed from looking like a little boy, tears filling his eyes, mouth helplessly hanging open switching to an excited grin, as he is starting to realize just how amazing JJ Abrams and this crew was going to make this movie. it makes me happy to see his reaction BC I feel like I really know how he felt. or I guess If you read this whole thing, I think I knew how he felt. would be funny if I was way off

Here's a correction to my last post! I had a bad feeling about calling the music being from the Throne Room theme. And I had the feeling that this cue was introduced earlier in Ep4. I had a picture in mind that it was an even more emotional scene. And I was right it is the "Binary Sunset" Theme.

Star Wars is ageless. I have been watching reactions. Everyone from the high school kids of today to those who saw the originals in the theaters are shaking with excitement. Its wonderful.
