I've started watching SC2 around the beginning of Serral's dominance. Every Maru match gets hyper hyped... but he always loses against top players. Sad too because I like Terran and would love to cheer for him but yeah.

Why would MARU be considered the GOAT when he never won a world championship? 2 players won 2 world championships. sOs 2013 & 2015 and Serral 2017 & 2021. sOs had a reputation for being ordinary except when large price money was involved. He was not dominant in GSL. I would rate Serral as the GOAT now. My top 10. 1. Serral 2. Rogue 3. sOs 4. Maru 5. Reynor

How else will you cast it successfully? Range of Neural Parasite: 8 Why are Ghosts just allowed to counter the entire Zerg late game? (And probably most of Protoss' as well). God forbid they also had a cloak as well. Range of EMP: 10 Range of Snipe: 10 Range of Siege Tank: 7 (13 in siege) Range of BC: 6, 10 for Yamato Range of Thor: 7

I said Ghosts are imbalanced, a singular unit in the Terran composition. It literally counters: -Broodlord -Ultralisk -Viper -Lurker -Infestor -High Templar -Archon -Anything with shields -Raven -Swarmhost Like they literally counter an entire T3 roster of a race.

Zerg, post-patch, is still stronger than Terran. Terran wins in an hour long game barely. Zerg wins in 10min no prob. Have you ever seen Zerg lose early? Queens are simply too good. One hatch, one queen. Make zerg actually produce units instead of a few extra queens and expand ad nasuem.

@@BenWeigt The thing is, outside of a handful of games, the trend observed holds, and not just with Serral, but almost all ZvTs. Terrans usually can't win against Zerg in under 12 minutes, and often the games just end up as nearly 30 minutes slugfests. And it's exceptional when a Terran looks like they are dominating those games. Meanwhile, Zerg wins rarely go past 15 minutes and they look like the Terran can barely scramble together enough to not lose. The fact that this pattern goes by unnoticed suggests one of two things. Either the casts just don't end up getting to the games that are outside this pattern, or people are too comfortable sitting in the lukewarm shit, as they say.
