+Simon Peterson Besides of what has already been said, take note of the fact that usual infested terrans do not stand out so much. There are plenty of infested marines in SC2, none of them is really worth attention. Also, Stukov might have had some psionic abilities as well. In the mission when he got killed by Duran, he was portrayed as a ghost. Still, it might have been just a way to show him as someone more important than an ordinary soldier as the lore does not mention him to be ghost or a telepath.

Harvastum I think it is there humanity and self preservation instinct/ drive that makes them special keragan has a goal that drives her and stukov was made by experimentation not a simple parasite The infested are more like Zerg using the teran's body's while stukov is in control and can still think the power they have is the mix of human control and inginuity along with the Zerg power and a desire beyond survival

TheYuri1212 accual stukov being brought back as zerg was in brood war as a hidden mission only on the N64 called resurrection iv, it was even discussed in novels where stukov tried to make his own swarm, im glad the put him in Hots because it was a serious lose end, as for tassadar, this could be speculated as well, sence he gave his life in the same manner as Adun, who was speculated to not be dead, but in a higher plain of existence, discussed in the lore before even brood war came out.

yea, that's pretty much been verified. Kerrigan even had a line about Narud feeling familiar to her and he acknowledged as such. Personally, I think they missed out on a fun throw back to have his Duran disguise be one of the forms he used to taunt her with during that cinematic. Would've been interesting to see that :3

Never played Heart of the Swarm but i did play Starcraft 1 a fair bit and Stukov was one of my favourite characters in Brood War, after finding out they re-introduced him into the main story in Heart of the Swarm, had to come here :P

At one point of the game abathur says that Stukovs human and zerg DNA is even better linked than Kerrigans. So compare Stukov with a normal infested Terran is like compare a normal zombie with Frankensteins monster.

+Tobias Messner Stukov's initial infestation was likely more akin to traditional infestation in which infectious zerg biomatter are introduced to the host and zerg biomatter begins to grow from the host biomatter as a sort of cancer... consuming much of the host at the same time. After being cured by Protoss Nano-probes, he was infested again, likely through a technologically assisted process meant to introduce specific zerg biostructures at key points throughout the body, keeping the more desirable human traits intact. Aburthur goes on to say that this goes down the molecular level. Kerrigan's two infestations involved a thorough invasion of her every cell by Zerg DNA through a slow process before triggering the mutations all at once, resulting in a smooth transition from human to zerg-human hybrid. She may as well have been born that way.

I guess since Legacy of the Void is about the protoss it will be about fighting Niadra's brood, hunting Kerrigan and preparing for the war against Amon. If the UED comes back we will probably have it in SC3. I doubt they can conclude the story of Starcraft in the next add-on.

While it could be argued (ANYTHING can be argued) that Stukov's voice changed due to his infestation, I think they should have brought back his original voice actor: Stukov had a very distinct accent which contributed a lot to his character.

The Protoss protagonist in LotV is Zeratul. He won't be hunting Kerrigan. Neither will any Protoss that follows him, although there still will probably be a fair number of Protoss that will. I expect Niadra to be an enemy but I can't see her being any sort of lasting threat. She's just one independent brood mother with one Protoss ship. How much trouble can she cause? She'll have three missions max.

Probable, as we need a reason to fight Terrans in LotV. The Dominion seems to have Valerian as head now, and Valerian/Raynor are allies of the Protoss. I doubt Blizzard pulls an internal powerstruggle where we have to betray Raynor, they might've done that in SC1 times but I don't see them doing that now anymore.

Stukov was one of my favorite characters in SC. Good that it was not Selendis in charge of his rescue since she already stated that the only cure for zerg infestation is a purification by fire. I bet however that Stukov dislike being a zerg, since I never heard of a zerg able to smoke cigarettes and drink Vodka - two of his favorite hobbies. It's curious he is still wearing his admiral uniform - what he was experimented on with his uniform on him?

the UED aren't aware of what is going on in the koprulu sector, all they know is that they sent an expedition force and it ended in a disaster, they at best would be reluctant to send another force anytime soon because 1. koprulu sector is very far away and 2. needs a lot of preparation which isn't something you'll do in 4-5 years, its unreal what you're suggesting

For a more serious response to an obvious not-serious (or perhaps merely ignorant) couple of posts... the death animation in SC1 is hardly representative of his actual death. He was shot once with a normal gun. He died, then his body was shot into space. Then, in a small series of downloadable maps, he was resurrected and infested by the Zerg, rescued and cured by Raynor and Artanis' forces with a Protoss cure, then handed to Moebius to "research the cure" (they didn't), which slowly failed.
