I find it noteworthy that a girl's doll marketed in the 1960's continues as a cultural reference. "Chatty Cathy" I'm old enough to remember the commercials and the girl next door getting one for Christmas.

He got annoying really quick. Kept repeating the same lines and killed a bounty I was trying to capture. I don't remember where I left him

Now all we need is a couple of fully fledged romanceable companions. Preferably from a crimson fleet faction, ones that don’t judge you or criticise your every action and is not boring. Honestly this feature ruins the gaming experience. And I’d happily pay for the mod.🙃

I agree that this is a professional quality mod. The character is slightly less annoying than The Annoying Fan, but he is a good distraction and bullet sponge and can take down enemies. He is also like Dogmeat in Fallout, in that he does not take up a companion slot. I have a few niggles, however. Even the modder (who seems impossible to contact) can't get his name right. The game identifies him as D.E.R.-3K, but he is listed in creations as DEREK. There is no mention of what his name abbreviations mean. Nut again, this does not really distract from how good or bad the mod is. My primary gripe is that I have a three seat cockpit and instead of hiding away like a nice robot as Vasco does, he plops himself right in th4e front windows. This can get you killed quickly as once the cursor passes over him you lose the HUD and can no longer fight or maneuver. saving and loading may bounce him out of the way. If not quitting and relocating is necessary. As with the game itself, there are a lot of possibilities with this character, but the modder is elusive and getting him to correct glitches or discuss expansions is not possible. I'm not sorry I paid for it and still use him.

Thanks for this- I purchased him right after mods dropped and had him tag along only for an hour or so- then promptly forgot about him; I'll bring him back into the fold tonight. He feels a bit like having Robin William's genie from aladdin- especially in combat where he'll cycle through different accents and attitudes. It really is so very well done. The fact that he didn't need to have lip synch or facial animation done really helps- a big reason why Robin Locke feels a bit lackluster

Console, formerly I played BGS games on PC. The upgrade cost to run starfield on PC didn't make sense to me.

I don't know if my mod is broken but my Derec is a nightmare, it doesn't diappear in the ship like Vasco so it blocks my path, then when he's in the ship he CONSTANTLY repeat the same phrase, like every second, it drive me crazy! And his "story" dialogues stops after the "ACCESS DENIED" and no more from there... worst paid mod so far 💀

Cool mod but I can't get it. I'm on PC. Every time I open the creations tab, it disables mods, changes my load order and breaks a bunch of mods. Creations may be great for console but it sucks on PC.

It does the same on console and its a daily pain in the ass just to play. Have to manually go into creations and disable close out open and reenable for the siund loss bug game boot and even saving load order don't keep order from scrambling

Strange - I play the game on a pc and I use lots of "normal" mods and creations mixed together and I have no problems at all! My game runs with over 150 mods and creations and works just pefect!

@@Starfield_Eclipse I decided to buy the expansion upgrade and used the points to buy the Compendium. Unfortunately, it's very limited (hopefully to be expanded in future). It lets you search for resources and shows you what planets they are on but doesn't let you plot a course to get to the system. UI seems to be designed with controller only in mind. Maybe hold off on purchasing until it gets more features.
