If you crank up all the environmental (weather) settings to their max difficulty the game is much much more enjoyable and deeper.

Don't forget the "for me" part of that sentence. Not everyone wants hardcore mode. That's the beauty of the new survival options. Everyone can tweak the sweet spot for their own personal playthrough.

So true. My character nearly died in an inferno planet while exploring a landmark far away from the ship. The alarm of the watch made for some tense moments as the health dropped and afflictions like burns and heat stroke were gained.

He aint wrong, folks. You don't have to play a Bethesda game any particular way. I've played for dozens of hours on saves I never planned on completing a "main story" on. That's the magic of Bethesda games.

I really like the fact that when you scan a POI, it actually tells you what it is. Ever since this update, I’ve discovered new points of interest that I’ve never seen before as I explored planets.

What I really love about this game is that it’s a lot slower paced like Daggerfall and Morrowind. You know, having to walk around and talk to people and look in corners for goodies.

I had to shelf this game for a bit because I got hit by the bug that stops you from getting additional powers/temples, but I checked it after the update and it looks like they fixed it, so I can finally finish my first playthrough soon! The 60fps on consoles is a godsend. ❤️

It’s a great update. Really enjoying the survival side of it too. They’ve balanced it nicely on very hard. I’m now taking cover properly, much more of a challenge. We’ve got many more years of content and to come yet. Can only keep on getting better. 👌🏼

Very happy they fixed the (lack of ships landing on moon) bug.... Used to enjoy stealing them. I wish they could have a feature whereby I don't have to search each dead ecliptic or spacer for weapons resources, they have something similar in FO76 where by all resources are piled into one list when searching one body... would save me searching all of them.

I was level 24 when I stopped playing but after the update I can’t stop playing I think the 60 fps help on console and the choices too 😎

It is so much better now that the maps are functional, carry weight can be changed, and i switched to pc due to the 30fps. (which is ironically fixed now). Looks killer maxedbout on pc.

Im not really picky about frames so i keep it on Visual. I have settings on extreme hardcore so my xp gain is 48%. I also have the damages set to where enemies do alot of damage while i also do alot of damage like how it was in Fallout 4 🙂

Loved Starfield at launch and only stoppee playing once i heard all the new stuff they were going to be adding . Ill be hopping back in once im done playing through fallout 4. I had gotten that itch after the show. Didnt even intend on aying through the whole game ....but here i am lol

No one is complaining about how the game was at launch who was continuing to play it all this time. the game was the most polished at launch that a bethesda game has ever been. And the logic of waiting for all dlc is kinda silly. Bethesda are not the only ones to put out dlc and expansions in a game wtf.

These updates do actually make me want to give the game a second chance. Only managed to rack up 15 hours before the lack of navigation turned me away.

This game is far better than most give it credit for. I admit to finding it a little bland during my first attempt at playing it, but Bethesda has done a great job of adding more value variability and fun to the game. I enjoy the changes made to the difficulty by adjusting individual options such as how sleeping heals or the weight of ammunition.
