This isn't entirely true. In the video it does look like he has cooldowns off cause of how fast he's attacking, but with cooldowns on, cap can still do a weaker version of this. Its harder than the fake one and isn't as fast but does still kill faster than just spamming meele

3:31 That Cap tech only works in Practice Mode with No Cooldowns enabled. Otherwise, you ain't gonna do this in a real game. Edit: Just to expand on this, all (if not most) character have a hidden 1 second cooldown between melee hits. This why you can't melee, ability, melee cancel in quick succession. What's happening with Cap in the vid is his melee being animation canceled into his sprint, which then is animation canceled into his melee, and etc etc.

The groot tech with rocket or jeff confuses me. I dont see the value in it. I know whoever is on his shoulders gets increased toughness but your also subjecting yourself to heavy fire just by being on a tanks head. As a healer wouldnt you rather be on the backline of your team instead of the frontline?

@@SomeRandomGuy887 In some situations, where it's just you and the tank, it can make both of them fairly unnkillable. So you wouldn't want to use it at all times, but you'd use it in a lot of situations or if you needed help/damage reduction (as a jeff/rocket). It's really hard to kill them as a combo even with two players sitting on them trying to do so.

Tip for console players. You are not limited to 8 call-outs. You can use all callouts by rebinding them too your X, Circle, Triangle, Square, buttons (and the Xbox equivalent) This way when you hold the callout select weel you can use all callout options

The Captain America one is silly. As a Magik main, there's this cool trick where I can fly through the air endlessly with dashes and spam range hits from above. All it requires is to go into practice and turn cooldowns off! So neat!

Like in Overwatch, if you're on attack then the payload can give health regen to players (on the attacking side) if they close by it. It's really useful to play around this if you're low on health because sometimes it can keep you alive until an actual support can help out.

One interesting thing I've noticed is that you dont have to sit on the payload, it pushes itself. That's why the game is more engaging than OW, you can just fight and have fun instead of sitting idle on payload

ngl, feel like a good number of these are just basic game mechanics. fly out of bounds, use your skills while attacking, end uni beam with a basic shot for more dmg/ammo, make use of the objective... And the Captain America in the practice range, I feel wasn't explained well. I thought it was literally just activating sprint, then spamming melee, that is not what is being done, and as others have said you can only do this with no ability cool downs, so not in a normal match. Ones that I were familiar with but I still think were good would be showing Groot's wall damage, Strange's Portal, and Spidey's bunny hops. Was not familiar with the Rocket Jumpack buff, primarily cuz I haven't seen it used since they fixed it. One more tip for the Rockets, as you initiate his Wild Crawl, immediately activate his Jetpack Dash, not the B.R.B. buff, to quickly zoom into the air. It's not quite as much height as the rocket jet packs buff from B.R.B., but it is much faster and can be done as long as there's a wall and one charge of Jetpack Dash. You can use the jet packs buff right after this trick for more height, but I think you'll hit the ceiling on most stages. If you have auto slow-fall on, trying to cancel the slow fall will also activate the rocket jet pack buff.

For Jeff/Rocket on groot shoulder, even using melee characters or aoe based characters will damage both, causing them to either stay on his shoulder and die or bail

Okay rq the thor tech will get you killed do not do that instead dash also has a 2 second delay you knock them back and you still restore thor force with it and even better if you dash onto a squishy put down you bubble as your on them dash them out of your bubble and get 2 hammers back without hitting them then your free to basic or right click them as they run away I don't suggest the right click because you will be targeted too quickly to get your dash back I really only ever use my right click to secure a kill

right clicking with thor does a lot more dps, but spamming shift is easier to land and can be more disruptive to the fight. it also makes you harder to heal. if you have bad aim you should probably spam shift, if you have good aim and want to dps someone down much quicker you should use right click.

It's only useful if your target is super weak and in melee range, or if you're trying to 1v1 someone Most of the time you want to be using your dash to stay mobile and to push the enemy either into your teammates or away from the objective

The reason players don't use turret on the payload is because it was a old tactic from Overwatch with Bastion (a robot that could become a turret) that's way stronger then Punisher's turret (we call it either Pirate Ship or Protect the President comp). A lot of (current & former) Overwatch players play Rivals so we know the comp & how to counter it so its not so effective in Rivals because its already been figured out by another game.

In OW you counter it with CC like a Roadhog hook. In Rivals, Punisher Turret is immune to CC. They are two different games. Just because you know how to counter it in one game doesn't mean you know how to counter it in another.
