As ship designs go, it really is rather excellent. Like the Ancients before them, the Tau'ri build their warships to be effective rather than pretty. They have a very utilitarian and efficient design, packing considerable versatility and power into a remarkably small spaceframe. It does tie into how the Tau'ri are very small in comparison to their peers, but they are also powerful and exceptionally innovative.

@NATIK001 Жыл бұрын
303 you mean, the 302 doesn't have shields and the only hyperdrive ever installed on the 302 fighters was of Tau'ri design and creation. It was based on Goa'uld drive design, but it was drastically altered to run on Naquadriah which allowed it to be installed on a fighter class ship. The 303 (Prometheus) however had shields lifted from the Goa'uld initially, and after the failure of its Naquadriah based homemade drive it had an Alkesh sourced drive installed.

I'm sure this has been mentioned before but the original model for a BC 304 was 600+ meters. This makes sense when you consider that each flight pod is a simplified carrier, although I believe they are always below the maximum capacity number of 302 on board. What has always seemed strange to me about this number is the apparently small crew and construction time for such a ship. I mean, even if we use more wartime logistics and manpower, taking as an example an Iowa class battleship took what, two years to complete? Even with more advanced technology it shouldn't take less time to build such a large ship.

On Sunday, August 25th 2019 at 05:09 CET 28 Ori or Goa'Uld disliked this video: 😂 Well, a bit more seriously: I so loved the Stargate Series's due to their close proximity to our wn reality with so reliable persons, with their flaws, their humor (especially Jack O'Neill's cheeky and cool comments in many situations and the way O'Neill treated the oh-so-powerful slimy snake heads ... err ... I mean ... almighty gods. 😉. And the BC 304 class space crafts immediately won my love. Thanks for this video. I sometimes wondered, what the faces of the Ori ships commanders was as the USAF Odyssey after its Asgard upgrades destroyed at least two Ori battle cruisers as seen at 01:41 in this video seemingly with ease and even with dogfight tactics which is impressive for a ship this size. Sometimes, in the time the series's were aired first in my German home country, I ofte tried to imagine crossover scenarios like: Post Asgard beam weapon upgraded (as mentioned at 2:24 and shown at 01:41 with the) USAF Odyssey (right after the Stargate episode "Unending" S10E20) appears two days before the events of the pilot episodes of the ENTERPRISE series (the prequell series to the TOS) as shown in "Broken Bow" S1E1/E2. Here, after some conversations, the USAF guys under the command of general Hank Landry agrees on bringing the Klingon Klaang back to the Klingon home world after he got healed in the San Francisco hospital after he crash landed on Earth and got shot down by the northern American farmer. The Suliban couldn't track the USAF Odyssey while in the hyperspace channel since the Suiban uses Warpdrive tracking technologies and the Odyssey could easily reach Qo'nos within just a few hours (even without the additional power output of a ZPM) while the Enterprise NX-01would need days when travelling with max speed and a slightly overused warp core. Or later in the ENTERPRISE series when a fully Asgard upgraded USAF Daedalus arrives durign the Earth-Xindi conflict and destroys the second and major Xindi weapon with the Asgard beam weapons like it has done it with the Ori battle cruisers. Or another crossover. The Asgard upgraded USAF Odyssey arrives in the Babylon5 universe right during the last major Earth-Minbari battle, the "Battle of the Line" and the Odyssey destroys some Minbari Sharlin class battle ships.

I sometimes imagine what the Taur'i fleet would look like another decade or so in the future. Perhaps when Stargate Program is public knowledge and more funding provided, humanity can design specialized warships like we have on the oceans. A designated carrier, destroyers and cruisers each with their own roll and formed battle groups.

That would be something

I always keep my captions on, and every time he says Tau' Ri, something different came up. Once it said towel ray, and my first thought was "don't forget to bring a Tau'Ri". You wanna get high?😁

I desperately hope we get another Stargate series someday, if only to see how badass the inevitable BC-305 would be.

this is probably my favorite ship design of all time

This is one of my favorite Sci-Fi ships. What I always loved about Star Gate is that they didn't start off with everything. They acquire tech, learn new things and later implement them. The Daedalus felt like a real ship our military would build in that world. The sets weren't that detailed and maybe a little generic. But it really was one of the most believable ships. And I mean in terms of SG1 not compared to say The Expanse.

One thing that might have been helpful to mention is that the Tau'ri is the name used for the Earthlings in the SG-1 franchise. Named by either the Jaffa or the Goa'uld, if I recall.

I like to hear if there is a Tau'ri Carrier video love Stargate SG1 for 20+ years

I respect that despite being a battlecruiser, a compliment of fighters was included with this ship in the Stargate series. Big ship, big guns. Small fighters, awesome dogfights.

Nice! Just a quick typo correction: ordinance is a local law, ordnance is ammunition for a weapon. A common mistake

If the dimensions of the F-302 are correct, there no way 8 of them could fit in one of the landing bays. Those landing bays are really big (the episode of Stargate Atlantis with the wraith computer virus showed the inside of one of the landing bays with f-302s parked inside). The BC304 must be much larger.

In the XSGCOM fanfic, they also have 2 Ha’taks that they end up naming Enterprise and Admiral Kuznetsov. The command is surprisingly receptive, figuring people will just assume they’re talking about the naval carriers. Caldwell is given the Enterprise and hates O’Neill for suggesting the name, since people keep calling him Jean-Luc now. O’Neill suggests he get a toupee and make out with Anise to get a different nickname. Chekhov gets the Kuznetsov. In an alternate future, they build a super-awesome BC-305 with ZPM-enhanced Asgard beams, which lays waste to the Aschen home world after they try to infect Earth. The Aschen are forced to warn their past selves not to piss off X-COM. Meanwhile, the Tollan build powerful warships using their own and Asgard tech, including a planet-busting bomb based on that generator that destroyed their neighboring planet.

Hard to pick between this and the Omega class from B5 for my favorite non star trek Sci Fi ship of all time. Absolutely adore this design.

The idea of China having a BC-304 makes me uncomfortable today.
