I love how @starkfutureofficial kinda went old school, and gave the customer a legit, comprehensive tool kit for the bike. No manufacturer has really done this in many many decades, if not the past century. It’s definitely reminiscent of when Ford and other early automobile companies began manufacturing cars, and you received the tools with the vehicle to help maintain it. 👌👍

Its an awesome set too! I remember the $5 Chinese tool wrap KTM used to include. The Stark tools are really high quality.

Sweet video dude! Thank you soo much for the information & tutorials. You are doing justice for the mechanically un-inclined like my self lol Fortunately they have been really responsive with me as well. I always hear back within 24 hours. Guessing they respond quicker to you since you have the bike, which is probably for the better lol. Current owners are priority. They got back to me today about the kickstand and they told me they plan on fixing it in the future but that "it works great the way it is" which isn't true. Just gonna leave that one off for now since I mainly do mx. They also told me that the tubes have been slightly improved and run great with 14.5 PSI or 1bar. So hopefully that will hold up, but I will probably get spare tubes just incase. They also put out a new tutorial video about changing the battery which was nice. Hoping they release the oil change video soon. Also quick question, how much time did it take for them to contact you apart from your promised delivery date? My date is September 30th 2023, so should I expect to hear from them about payment a couple weeks before that? Cannot wait to see the next video!

Order one up! They are about a 1.5-2 year wait now I think. Plenty of time to save here and there to fund it. My current favorite bike before the Varg arrived was my 21 YZ250F. I didn't think a bike could get much better than that. I have not ridden it since the Varg arrived! You will be amazed.

Hey so the smaller front sprocket effectively makes it less torque and gives the bike more top end ? Can you feel the difference ? Does the 13 make it not hit as hard with the power. Or can you compensate with it just by running it with 45 hp vs 40hp etc ?
@913outdoors
@913outdoors 7 ай бұрын
Opposite. Smaller front = lower gearing. Smaller rear = taller gearing. I tried a 47t in the rear and could definitely feel a difference. I did not like that gearing. The 13T front makes it feel a bit more snappy.

The chain adjuster and footpeg bolt scare me for the long term. That detent is not going to work for long on a dirt bike. Looking at the intricacies of the phone mount, I was worried about the phone getting smashed in a crash. Now it looks like the mounting mechanism isn't going to last from dirt and water infiltration let along a light hit.
@913outdoors
@913outdoors Жыл бұрын
Lets hope it lasts! The chain adjuster should be good. Its more solid than most actually. Tge phone mount? Seems fine as long as you don't crash it into a boulder of something.

Great video and thanks a ton. Although interesting, I was kind of wondering why you are trying to find KTM parts that fit (or kind of fit) your Stark Varg. Is there a shortage of Stark parts ?, and sorry if that answer is easy. Normally if I need a part for my KX or YZ I use the correct part for that bike. I normally don't go and try to find a KTM part the works or kind of works. I feel that may be introducing some mechanical risks or safety risks when doing this. But hey, otherwise thank you for the great video.
@913outdoors
@913outdoors Жыл бұрын
First off there are no aftermarket parts for these yet. So say you need a sprocket or brake rotor at the track. Or you may have some custom wheels from a KTM you can change over. So for example if you want to upgrade to something Stark does not offer, etc. KTM parts are super easy to find! Stark parts are inexistent this far!

With the rear tire clearance couldn't you add a link or two to the chain or just cut the next chain longer?
@913outdoors
@913outdoors 11 ай бұрын
Tried adding a link first and it was out of adjustment range. Too long. So had to go one tooth smaller front sprocket to make it work.

Haha yeah! She's a beast! Sprocket change is actually to make room to move the tire back. Extra chain link was too long.

With kickstand, if I were you I’d start whooping on it with a soft blow hammer till you get enough angle from the bike. Then, get a little metal credit card (or something else similar size) and jb weld to the foot of the stand. Will not look great but would be nice for a day out in some muddy trails🤙
@913outdoors
@913outdoors Жыл бұрын
I was thinking about a cleaner solution. Lol. Was going to weld an extension to it but waiting to see if Stark updates these and replaces them first. They really should.

Do you think it needs some sort of case saver in case the chain snaps? Otherwise I guess there isn’t much what could get destroyed 🤔🤷🏼‍♂️
@913outdoors
@913outdoors Жыл бұрын
Could not hurt i guess! The guard above the sprocket seems pretty strong. I guess the gearbox could get damaged. I have not broken a chain since I was a kid so not really that concerned. The smooth power is probably easier on the chain as well. No gearshifts or clutch snaps.
@camomarv

Seen that most stark bikes get wear on the frame and engine case from the boots, is it any one that make frame guards for stark?

It's funny how the bike is so well made, and it cost a lot of money overall, but they could not figure out how to put a stupid kickstand on it that works, when the cheaper bikes made in Japan all have kickstands that work perfect.
