We live near Bolton, not far from Manchester. I am considering Starlink but am put off by reports of dropouts during bad weather. As we live in a rainy and sometimes snowy area and I don't want to waste a few hundred pounds, can you tell me how you have you fared in bad weather? We are with EE on a 4g router but the service is dreadful. Thanks in advance.

I used to have a 4g router and that was getting affected by weather, slowing down at peak times, and constant issues. Starlink never failed once for me. I had some dropouts but absolutely not weather related. In fact I do wonder sometimes how it can carry on working that well in some of the weather conditions that we have had. If anything fog seems to be slowing it down a little if it is very dense, but we had heaving rain, very strong winds, snow and it kept on working well. The previous round dish was much more temperamental and seemed to be more bad weather adverse but the new rectangular smaller one is very good. If you look on the App you may see mini dropouts at times (mainly at night) but regardless of the hour, they are literally 1 or 2 sec and you don’t even notice anything at all.
