Great song! 40 years 🎂 Written by Jonathan Cain. He is on piano and synthesizers. He wrote songs with or for The Babys/Bad English, Sammy Hagar, Michael Bolton and Heart. When The Babys broke up and Greg Rolie retired, JC took his place. Similar song: Heaven as performed by Bryan Adams. In that year, he opened for Journey. There is a story behind Heaven. Neal Schon dropped out of Amador High School in San Mateo. Eric Clapton wanted him to join his band but was refused! NS joined Santana, a classic rock band from my hometown San Francisco. O my to see this play, it’s awesome but nothing like experiencing in person. It builds and builds and people were just blown away. It’s one of the best songs live. True story there were young women at the concert that just passed completely out watching this. The album was awesome but everyone kept saying seeing it live was a must. Back then they would sell out in 30 minutes. Another one live I recommend having see it which was insane, was Billy Idol singing rebel yell, when he takes off on the guitar in that song you realize his skills were unbelievable, huge hit and his voice like Steve’s are just very hard to duplicate, being so unique. Thank you I really enjoyed that!
