You have an awesome comment, man. I always appreciate when a man talks about reading. Only a few male KZbinrs here who talks about books and your videos will encourage other males to read books more. I have an idea for your next video. Have your insights about the idea of speed reading (reading too fast or reading a lot in a short amount of time) and slow reading.

Love the video you just made. AWESOME!! Nice way you laid out these steps. I’ve been a reader for a long time . In the morning, or before bed. Done both.

I stumbled upon your channel, as I’m looking for male booktubers (I love my female booktubers; I’m just trying to expand my source of recommendations). What do you prefer to read? Those usually with obvious lessons/messages? Or do you also read just for the enjoyment of the story, without expecting some kind of “lesson” to be had at the end?

I always read with intention, trying to take away something useful or meaningful that I can apply to my own life. Sometimes that information may be a small thing like a date or a new word, sometimes the story changes the way I see the world or the way I see myself. But either way I’m reading to fill in the gaps of my understanding and create a more vivid and higher resolution map of the world around me.

@@alexmostella I really agree with the idea that reading fills in the gaps of knowledge you would otherwise not gain from just your own experience. Thanks for answering my rather out of the blue question! I'll definitely keep an eye out for your future videos.
