Gotta say...I'm loving the new direction your channel is taking. As an Infrastructure Architect, Content Creator, Husband, and Father of 2 teens...hearing some of your experiences and processes help me immensely. It's rare to find someone out there speaking their truth. I think we all need to find out what our own truth is. It differs for everyone and hearing about some of your struggles helps me recognize some of my own struggles. Keep on keeping on brother.

as a tortured perfectionist in recovery myself, for me "perfect enough" or the goal that I'm shooting for is "satisfying". Start messy, clean it up along the way, make it satisfying later. New to your content but I dig it very much so far.

I like that phrase start-of messy, clean it as you go, make it perfect later

Thanks for the new video Dorian. I'm having trouble with my procrastination and it hinder my progress sometimes. But watching your videos, other self development content/channel, books, advices from my family, friends or coaches helps me progress bit by bit. And this video give me knowledge about your life experience and learn from it.

While keeping perfection from being the enemy of good enough and allowing things to start off messy is good advice to follow in general, there certainly are limits to this principle. For example, if you're building a house, and you don't put down the foundation correctly, there's very little you can do with the other parts of the house to correct for that structural shortcoming. If you're building a rocket for launching into space, a leak in even the smallest gasket or coupling could cause the whole thing to explode while it's taking off.

In order words you can start doing anything but you need to get the basics down first in order to actualize it

There's no way to steal what youve interpreted, especially when you add your own experience to it. Alot of self help/improvement/productivity videos have similar ideas and are broken down differently just like you've done. Thanks for continuing to share!!

After watching this video I’ve realized that I need to subscribe to this channel and will do so right now and am wanting to save this video as a reminder for me on my path to financial freedom.

I like this... I've definitely had people tell me that perfection is the enemy of progress. And I get that! Although sometimes I felt like that was an excuse to not put in the extra work needed to make something as good as it could be. I do think that perfection is indeed the enemy of progress. But Dorian's point about starting out small and messy before striving for continuous improvement up until some acceptable threshold, bolsters this statement.

I need to watch this video everyday as reminder to screw perfection, just keep on the path and do!

Hey Dorian, my name is Donovan, you've inspired me a lot the videos of yours that I've watched ❤ I'm doing 100K pushups and I post the results with my videos like how you talk about your thoughts. I've made a video on laziness and action as well as getting out of bed. Your vids inspire my ideas sir, thank you so much!
