00:46 Mind Pump Fit Tip: STOP forcing your body to change! If it feels like you're forcing your body, your methods or mindset is wrong.
20:50 Why does alcohol effect some people more than others?
25:55 When you feel tremendous empathy towards your parents.
49:47 The sad regression in today’s climate.
53:40 Adam’s first 72-hour fast.
1:01:22 ListenerLive question #1 - Is there a way to keep the current shape I have physically with less time in the gym? Or do I need to adjust my mindset and expectation of how lean and muscular I want my body to be?
1:14:43 ListenerLive question #2 - What is some advice you guys have for building that mind-muscle connection on both sides of the body?
1:26:26 ListenerLive question #3 - How important is it to be exact on your macros when tracking? Do you have to be precise with your protein, carbs, and fats and avoid not going over?
1:42:23 ListenerLive question #4 - What would be some qualities I need to develop, or some disciplines that I need to hone in on, to be successful in pumping out quality trainers?

100% it needs to be a lifestyle because it's something you need to be conscious of every day. It's hard to be conscious of anything daily. So it needs to be a lifestyle change in order to not fall off. Most people with successful longterm goals change the lifestyle to fit those goals.

Morning Mind Pump Brothers! I remember my mum coming home with a pair of Adidas 2 stripe and I was so excited until I wore them to school and got the piss ripped out of me for my fake Adidas. They were so cheap that they were falling apart half way through the day. Funny now looking back but a horrible day at the time. I have a lot of compassion and respect for my childhood self these days, he survived! You guys and Huberman? Yes please! Have a blessed day lads 👊🏼🙏🏼👊🏼

I live in a country where everyone have the wrong approach to fitness of working their ass off and killing their body in the gym and doing tons of Cardio and I watch them not changing at all, while I'm constantly improving each month with half the effort they're making that's thanks to you guys here, I try the hardest to raise awareness and teach people at the my gym about the essential things you guys always talk about and to spreadi your message of improving peoples quality of life before their body image and it's such a great joy to watch people lives change because of the things I carry to people from you guys💪🏽

I loved hearing this my dad came to the UK at 16 from Jamaica and worked so hard he is 85 now and we never realised how poor we were because our childhood was so much fun we would have Mac Donald’s or KFC maybe 1 time a month and we would be so excited now kids can eat it every day. I would never change the childhood I had compared to my children it made me the person I am today

I remember my experience with forcing my body. I used to listen to terrible fitness advice back then and took every exercise to failure, was eating in a deficit, and doing LOTS of cardio. Needless to say, my strength and muscle gain halted really quick and I destroyed my metabolism in the process to the point where when I went back to what I normally eat I gained fat really quick. Now I am implementing the advice given on this show for building metabolism and reducing cardio and intensity and I'm in a much better situation especially in terms of relationship with food.

I have to admit, people always told me I was more like a ballet/endurance/gymnastics type concerning body composition and I have to push myself so hard and eat so much to gain muscle. It kinda felt like I was pushing it into something out of its natural homeostasis. But I enjoy lifting weights, and I want to build my glutes. Currently I'm experimenting with ways to grow without feeling like working against myself.

Preventing children from experiencing hardship has been the greatest disservice done by parents. We are seeing this in the uptick of mental health issues and the inability of some to hold a job. The lack of resiliency in this generation is astounding.

This forcing your body discussion is timed so well with what I am going through. Few friends of mine and I do fitness challenges together and the winner is decided by votes on physique. This is the 7th challenge and no one kept their results from previous challenges. It is clear that most people go hard and fast during the challenge and no one can sustain afterwards .

After many on/off tries at fitness and improved health, I’ve finally become consistent in the past few months. This podcast has been a great help in assisting my journey with providing knowledge & entertainment in a holistic manner. My sleep is better, I have more energy, I’m not fatiguing when doing manual labor as quick, brain fog is diminished, happiness is increasing, more excited to do better in other areas such as work, the self improvement that leaks out into every area is insane. And I’m learning, wow I really can hit the gym for 45min-1hour, not go insanely hard, have enough energy to work out the next day, and see BETTER gains. Better fat loss. Stopped chasing the burn and sweat and started chasing goals. Shoot, it feels like once I stopped chasing the pump as hard I actually get BETTER pumps.

The dieting part is extremely difficult with a lack of sleep and three young kids...i feel like I need to train most days for the mental benefits first thing in the morning, but anytime I try to implement a moderate cut the lower calories only lasts 3 days until my body ends up feeling destroyed, and I feel like I need to take them back up plus some. I've tried to improve my sleep but its horribly broken, and with my kids I typically am only in bed only 6 hrs. I'm maintaining at 3000 which is crazy for a woman my size, so I feel that cutting shouldnt be this hard. I do get in 15000+ steps a day though. I know I need to back off on my training...any advice for someone interested in wellness competing with a lot of leg volume?

This episode came at the exact moment I needed it. I am in a cut and yesterday I fell off the wagon a bit, well a lot lol. Anyways I woke up this morning and was planning on doing this grueling, intense, cardio and weights workout. I turned on this episode as I was warming up and it was just what I needed to hear to snap me out of that mindset. Im going to do a little walking and a couple strength exercises and be done. I’ve been working out for almost 15 years now and I still fall into the this trap. Thanks for saving me from myself!

I started changing my “I can’t” voices to “I don’t want to” when it comes to eating certain foods for the exact reason y’all mentioned. It gave me more agency in the fact that I chose to avoid things that weren’t gonna serve me well and help build my body. It also helps build better self awareness like if I allow myself the food that I know isn’t great for me I can notice and be aware of the effects that has on my energy, mood, etc.

This episode is 🔥. I’ve been on a cut since May… well trying more of a cut/light recomp, but top concern is losing the belly fat and muffin top, while hopefully gaining/maintaining as much muscle as possible. Just keeping losing fat as top concern. I’ve lost over 20lbs and have still maintained muscle… even appears to be more full and shapely. This podcast has helped tremendously with little tips and encouragement. Always helps me to avoid cravings and stay focused when I listen to some of their episodes. Huge fan.

I relate to what Justin said about it actually being harder to not go balls out. I love lots of volume and high intensity so I HATE feeling like I left anything in the tank. For example I was doing 120 yard sprints at the track yesterday. If I really wanted to push, I could've forced myself to do 20 of them. But once I got to 12, I made myself stop and walk a cool down mile. **I still had a good conditioning stimulus from doing 12 all out 120 yard sprints. But since I left 20% in the tank, I felt really refreshed after. However mentally it's hard not to feel guilty about skipping the other 8 sprints. 🤣

Listening to you guys keeps me on track! 'Exercise should be a life enhancing tool', this is so true! I often obsess too much over the details, making everything too complicated and losing so much time that i could spend living life. I am eighteen years old and have been struggling with eating disorders the past four years. Since May i have been focusing more on living life outside of fitness. Altough finding the right exercise routine is still a big struggle I feel like my life is improving day by day and i am starting to trust myself. (Thanks to you guys being extremely informative and real!!!) I am starting med school this month so i am very excited to keep on 'building' instead of 'breaking down' . Consistently working out for 4 years. The trick for me was that I started to see exercise as an important step in self love and health. I see it similar to cleaning my teeth, it just has to be done. I have played sports competively and mostly lived a healthy life which I think helps too. From a mental health perspective I don't feel great when I don't work out. But despite hitting my protein targets I don't have huge muscles like some. I do cycle through phases of rep ranges and programs. I'm happy with my physique but now my focus is more about longevity and living optimally because I have maintained and improved my strength and mobility. I could try and force my body I suppose but I can't afford injury which will just take me further from my goals. But I struggle with overtraining and find it hard to train less than 5 days a week. I think because I was a high level gymnast I get away with it but at 46 I know I'd probably grow more if I did less

I use to be super fit from the ages of 18-22. Got fit again from 25-27, then kind of on for 6 months and stop for a few years. I struggled with weight. Loose 30lbs, then gain it back plus some. When I turned 39 I just got fed up with being a short guy at 5’4”, at 230lbs ish at 38% body fat. I started lifting weights in Oct 2019. I started back in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in early 2020. For 2 years I was forcing the weight loss and muscle mass, and my BJJ progression. Finally I decided in February / March 2022 to re-evaluate what I was doing and researching new studies and data. I literally stopped forcing everything and kind of let go in the correct direction. Now I’m down to 170lbs, at 21% body fat. My body just has completely re-comped. I am finally for the first time in my life at 42 getting this high level athlete look. I was recently told from an old BJJ training partner, that I had not seen in 2 years, told me that I look like BJJ competitor athletes. He absolutely did not recognize me before coming up to me. I feel awesome, I feel completely satisfied with food, and my life feels totally better in all aspects.

Got your guys prime and prime pro bundle while it was on sale adding that 50% off august promo code. So far I’m loving it and my body really needs this. Been forcing myself too much for too long. Going to finish these programs before I head back to the weights.

Great episode. Wonder how often you guys talk about something and think “maybe we need to update our workout packs to incorporate more of that”

Finally someone who approaches fitness from a healthy perspective! Please don't stop uploading videos guys! Your opinions are gold to me. It's not that I follow everything you say as a rule, but I highly value your ideas and incorporate your perspectives into my lifestyle. Thanks!
