In Aug of 2020 my mom passed because of COVID. I was overweight and unhealthy and it was the biggest wake up call EVER. Its like a switch went off in my brain and I couldn't go back to crash dieting and short term results. For the past year and a half I have been on a journey to wellness. Some weeks have been better than others, but consistency has been key. I've lost more than 30kg, reversed by insulin resistance and I have a few more kilograms to go to reach my goal. One day, KZbin recommended your channel to me. The information you all share, as well as the candid way in which you impart wisdom in a simple, digestible way has been the key to me finally getting some weights and resistance bands and starting to work out consistently. Thank you for the perspectives, techniques and advice. I feel like I have my own personal trainers in all of you. I'm slowly making progress, getting stronger and enjoying every minute!

This has worked for me for 20+ years : 1) Lift relatively heavy 3-4 days p/wk 2) Run sprints 2 days p/wk 3) Walk 10-15K steps every single day 4) I get adequate protein and don't eat like an asshole 5) I drink water and sleep 6-8hrs a day This keeps me strong enough to hold my own, fit/athletic enough to perform, lean enough to have visible abs year round, and healthy as a horse to where I never get sick. **Also since I've never smoked, done drugs, or been a big drinker, people mistake me for 28-30 and I turn 42 in Dec. LOL

How many sprints do you do?
@ryandeffley76522 жыл бұрын
@@coopertodd28 - Usually 20-25 @ 100 yards. I will mix it up with 10-12 hill sprints on the park overpass and the rest flat. **A few times per month to really push myself I go a parking garage near me that is 8 floors high. Every floor has a 100 yard hill that's around 12-15% incline. So I sprint the hill, walk the flat, sprint the next hll, etc.. I do this until the top, take the stairs back down to the bottom, and repeat. Repeating this 3-4x kicks my butt. I call it "the gauntlet".

@@ryandeffley7652 thank you sir!!!
@ryandeffley76522 жыл бұрын
@@coopertodd28 - No worries man. But I have two pieces of advice. 1) Always make sure to do a good dynamic 5-10 min warm up and a few ramp ups first (85%, 90%, 95%) before you go into sprinting. 2) Treat it like lifting with gradual progressive overload. Initially you may be smoked after 5 sprints and that's totally fine. You're better off slowly increasing sprint volume every few weeks then trying to do a ton right away.

They actually put a 10% luxury tax on goods in the 1980's, if I remember correctly. It ended up putting several boat makers out of business in California. Those boat makers were not making luxury yachts either. They ended up repealing it because of the damage it was doing to the economy. The 1% are the 1% because they are creating things of value for the masses. We are all better off letting them invest the money they earned as opposed to giving it to politicians who didn't earn it and did nothing more than win a popularity contest.

Wealthy people do, in fact, care about taxes and the cost of products, more so than the average person. Just look what happened when France tried to increase taxes on wealthy property owners. Those who could, left. The reality is that for every dollar you take from the rich through taxes, that was money that would have gone to a middle class job in the wealth creation sector. Instead, that money will get diverted to a government job or a government contract where lots of it gets skimmed and/or it goes into the development of something few people really want such as public housing, bullet trains to nowhere, etc.

Luxury items for the rich is where innovation and products for the middle class begin. You tend to pay a premium for luxury items and in time the value of those items drops significantly. Eventually what was only for the rich becp,es a middle class item that anyone can afford. For example, the answering machine was once an expensive item outside the reach of the middle class. Now it's obsolete, but it illustrates that the rich dump their money into new innovations that eventually becomes affordable to the middle class. The same could be said for cell phones, personal computers, etc. The thing is, if you stifle rich people's ability to buy these products, which you do when you increase taxes on them, you increase the time it will take for those items to reach the middle class. The rich are not the enemy. Those who try to steal from the rich, or anyone for that matter, are the enemy of prosperity.
