The enclosure is so cute and cozy! I think the lighting is dark because of how daylight works in the arctic and Antarctic circles, so maybe just adding lots and lots of cozy lighting is the way to go. Great video!

I would definitely allow yourself to use both Tundra and Taiga foliage where possible, and even Temperate if the animals allow it. Your zoo is in Antarctica and there really is no foliage there to begin with, so if you try to limit yourself to naturally occurring plants you would have no plants at all, and some of the animals wouldn't like that.

You forgot Cupid! Lol also, in order for the guests to interact (they walk off the path and stuff) you have to have the hygiene station inside. You can check the parameters by clicking the habitat overview (where you would be able to click edit barrier), I believe it’s the last tab, there’s a checklist. Can’t wait to see this one, I’ve been waiting for a new zoo!

Love the way the staff entrance is super fancy and very alluring and the guest one is in the blind corner :Ddd I would totally walk in the wrong gate. Reindeer like pine and spruce forest, but they're happy with almost anything. They eat lichen, it's their favourite. Here in Finland we have a lot of reindeers. They are not wild animals but they're owned, but they roam free. We eat them. 🤭 Or some do. I try to boycott reindeer meat because reindeer husbandry has a lot of issues with wild life, big predator conswrvations etc. But they are nice animals. I've been a animal caretaker for reindeer and I like them. But not when it's mating season. The reindeer stags can be a bit crazy.. 😅

Note! Instead of using the filter tab when looking for enrichment, food, or shelter items for a specific species, you can type the name of the animal in the search bar, and it will still work. It's helpful for replacing scrolling through the many species. 😁

Thanks for this tip ☺️ I did actually know this but I’ve found before that it doesn’t always perfectly filter the items to only those appropriate for the animal (perhaps a few bugs / issues that may have been fixed now) so I always prefer to just click the box because it doesn’t take any longer really 😊 I hope you enjoyed the video!

28:26 taiga plants would be cool you can try like the map is full of hills so the top to have tundra tress and the bottom taiga (in real life in cold peaks the bottom hills are more lush) it is not at this little elevation but plants dont grow in antractica either

On the first day of Christmas PawsBuild gave to me 🎶 a co-zy winter series 🎶☃️ I think that has to be my favourite fence so far! It's so cute! I think I would maybe swap the guest and staff gates? Give the guests the central gate with cute reindeer archway, and give the staff the tucked away side gate. And maybe some rocks around the water area :) Also, I vote YES to taiga and other relevant plant types! I'm so excited for this series! Really going to help with getting into the Christmas spirit 🦌🎄

The Sami people, so the original poulation of the northen parts of Europe (Finland Norway parts of Sweden and Russia) farm reindeers. From my understanding thay have super big herds they take care of in the mountains. They don't have fences but still move the herds around difrent grazing areas depending on the animals, whether, nature and other factors. It's a deep part of ther culture and a long standing tradition. I'm not from that population just find it really interesting. So i really recommend reading about it. And if anyone form that population reads this and find any factual flaws please correct me, I would love to learn more 😁❤️

Yay! Another PZ series. Love the variety of stuff you put out but PZ is my fave haha. For my own tundra zoo, I decided to just use both tundra and taiga plants because the choices are quite limited otherwise. It would be reasonable I think to do the same for this series, especially if you'll be getting tundra or temperate animals.

The sanitizing stations need to be inside of the enclosure for the guests to be able to actually interact with the animals, if you don’t want them actually interacting with them I’d leave them on the outside of the gate!

When using the construction pieces that aren’t exactly 4m, I like to put a standard wall down and use the pieces to fit in the same space. Or if the pattern doesnt fit nicely in 4m, place another wall next to it to make a 8m long section to use. Then copy and paste like usual.

hey paws! love watching your videos. just something i dont notice you do-- instead of scrolling all the way down in the filters for the animals when looking at enrichment or their herdmates, you can click the tabs like the same way you see how they like the environment or the amount of space they have. there's an enrichment tab where you can click "sort by species -- (animal species)" as well as a tab that lets you see the other animals in their herd without having to click on the habitat gate. i hope this helps you do less clicking and scrolling :)
