to see durability issues, hit U and turn on the durability views (icons top right). its probably a problem as you just bolted a bunch of weight onto the plates, so you may need to add a few more bolts to the plates themselves, or at least i had to when i added my bench! loving the series!

Additionally, when it comes to the building please be aware that there are two ways to build. The standard way and the easy build way. Easy build was added to the game right before launch untested with the intent to make the game more accessible. So easy mode sucks rn but if you have time and patience you can learn to build the other way in which as the above comment explains will allow you to see the stress and durability of your ship.

The durability error thing comes from the 'load' hidden mechanics. You bolted the benches to a non-mainframe plating, which is integrated into the cargo boxes, which causes the error to pop up since that's a no-bolt block. To bolt things without causing that error, you need to put them into basic plating which has nothing attached on them, like that empty plating space on the basic ship. Of course, there's also another things that can cause that error to pop-up. The building is far deeper than the voxel-based thing it looks at a glance.

Hey Z you can hold down left mouse with the bolt tool and It till automictically bolt down an object on all bolt sections!

EDIT: ok so I thought it would be good to let you know that the asteroid field around the planet eos which is the blue cloud ring, is 2200km wide from edge to edge and 600km in height from top to bottom. The universe is infinitely expanding. This planet has 10 moons. The closest will take you about 18 minutes to reach if using the jump gate. You can fly there without the gate too but it would take roughly 5 days real time. The universe is colossal From 25 minute episodes to 46 p Because 25 is just not enough obv. Love this game. Flew up 200km and back without running out of fuel or propellant. Was a nice trip.

So is the universe infinitely expanding and is it procedurally generated?

@@littleyellowduck8931 it's got a limit, at which point it will wrap around on itself. However that limit is more than we will ever be able to explore so essentially it's infinite. You'll never run out of space to go too. It does use some form of procedural generation. No one's visited all 10 moons in the first solar system yet because they're so far away. Not even in closed alpha. Asteroids don't respawns once destroyed. However there's trillions+ of them everywhere in the belts. Moon stations and mining is on the way soon too. Along with player made capital ships and mega structures which have an inner limit but can be expanded as big as you want when you want too. So over time, space will be populated with all sorts of player created structures. From small refill stations, to huge cities and monuments to see. I'm gonna be making a race teach with a mega stadium around it where endo' s can make the trip to watch the racers. You'll be able to enter with your own custom built race ship and it may be outside the safe zone so damage during the race might be a thing

@@littleyellowduck8931 There's no limit to how many stations or ships you can build. The game also has it's own coding language called yolol which essentially means you can use it to make scripts for things like automation. For example, you can build a robot arm and then use the code to make it pick up and move stuff on a factory belt. I have a script in one of my ships which regulates the due so that it's more efficient during long trips. You can script arcade games like Pac man etc. Someone made a battleships arcade game during closed alpha. You could build a bowling alley. Then have a robot arm throw the ball down the lane when you press a button. Then script it to automaticallu record the scores for each player

To get the larger Rocks you need to go at least 30Ks into the Astro Belt where to more rare ores are and the safe zone is 45Km out from your base station you need to get a laser as quickly as possible to get the larger Astros

Another tip you cannot always build a space station within the safe zone. Which extends about 50 km from the Origin station. It’s recommended to go far away from other people and get as deep as you can into the asteroids to have easy access to rare spawns. You should know when you cross that boarder as the game will basically loose it’s noodle with you telling you that you are crossing that boarder. You should be concerned that you may not even currently have the range in your ships to travel there. Also watch out as pirate groups are forming. And stream sniping is completely within bounds of the game. In fact encouraged.

You're having durability issues with workbenches because they need to be bolted into the beams. Also sometimes it takes more than just the 4 bolts it shows you on the object. Sometimes you just need to keep bolting until it stops saying durability error. Also also, I too started on Station 21.

Another pro tip. You should turn up your waypoint/beacon/transponder render distance this can be done in settings try maxing out everything except for the bottom option in that section of the menu.

The durability issue could be caused from lack of bolts or too much stress on some particular beams. Press U to open the universal tool and in the top right you can see 3 icons to check ship durability and stability

It also initially complains about durability errors before the thing you're currently bolting in isn't yet sufficiently bolted down. Just continue bolting and it most of the time sorts itself.

With the bolt tool you can hold down the left click button to auto-bolt items down. Then you can also right click to auto-unbolt as well. The unbolting will also put the bolts back into the bolt ammo container, and not give you a separate stack of bolts.

For the “ship parking” just make one corner of the station a hanger and have spots for each ship you have and you could mark the spots with paint or something so you always land in the right spot for that ship

Turn on the durability tool by hitting u and clicking it under the blueprint tab. You probably just need a couple more bolts in the workbenches to get rid of it. You can also left click on the item you are building and the bolt tool will place the main bolts and you can add a couple more after that.

You can hold LMB to automatically bolt all points of an item. On U you can enable the integrity mode on the leftmost tab (blueprint) on the top right corner that shows which items are not attached correctly. You can currently grind red research easily with bolt tool ammo.

I played a game with a market system like that once. Markets had a limited range, so you had to set up in different places to get access to different "markets". Found out that if you had enough money relative to the people around you you could buy up all the cheap stuff and sell it at a markup. At first it worked because people were selling well below what others were willing to pay for it, but then it became a monopoly since no one else could afford to buy large quantities. You still have to keep the prices reasonable to profit though, as at a certain point people just give up on an inaccessible market and do the grinding instead. It's cool to get into, but unstable AF and can end up burning you with excessive amounts of stock without any buyers

From what i have seen on youtube. Crafting stations should stay in your inv. For safty. you can place them on ship as you need them. The ship building in this game is crazy . you almost need to know how to program to do it right. Ill be buying my ships lol. I love this game. its fun. will be a lot better after some of the bugs are fixed

Durability error occurs because of a few things, 1. It doesn’t have enough bolts to be stable. 2.where you put them causes drag. And 3. If screws are put in bad locations they can cause issues with durability, finally the frame may not be strong enough to support the weight. The plates are not an issue because they are bolted to the beams and that makes them part of the frame. It’s usually a not enough bolts issue

Durability error also pops up when the work bench only has one bolt. It needs several bolts and sometimes bolt to beams. Also the advanced bench needs more bolts then the other ones.

The durability error is due to bolting the crafting benches to plates instead of the beams. Basically everything in this game besides plates needs to be touching two beams to have a solid foundation or you get those errors. Also do what everyone else is saying about the universal tool. The bad part will turn red

Don't know if you've learned this yet cause I'm catching up with the series, but while you're in the safe zone you can't take damage from hitting asteroids. (At least that's what I heard and from what I can tell cause I YEETED my laborer into one and it didn't do any damage from what I could tell.) Also you can make your stations transponder not broadcast to randoms

halls and factories are not implemented yet. for the moment, all a station can be used for is storage until halls and factories are implemented. edit: you're probably going to lose your workbench. others have reported their station benches depopping after logout.

Just try to avoid the easy build mode than it should be safe. I am now 35 hours In and only loose my first ship to the easy build bug. My other four ships are working fine

@@DbM313 do the tutorial. There you have to go to the easy build hall. Do that only once and only with your starter ship. Than just try to avoid it. Than you should be good.
