A great piece of advice I received was, the algorithm isn’t there to serve creators, it is there to serve viewers. It doesn’t push one video over another, it pulls videos based on a viewers watch history.

I wish I had this video back when I was starting. I was so mad because I had great content but wasn't getting any attention. 1k was mission impossible. I was lucky when I found out I can boost my channel with initial subs just enough to start getting noticed. I got myself first couple of hundred subs for very low price (personally used Fame ster). After that my main channel gain a ton of organic traffic.

Definitely don't have the niche down yet, I think with my KZbin channel, I wanted to log a bunch of different responses I had in my own head to questions I kept having as a video journal of sorts. The thing is that I like different niches such as personal development, spirituality, and content creation. I guess I could try to pull different aspects from each other and merge them into a unique tapestry over time.

Interesting! Does this mean you're going to focus on producing one high-quality, longer-form video a month with higher editing specs? Because for me, I don't really have the time to do that and I'm focusing on just posting 2-3 videos a week with minimal editing.

I have heard a bunch about how bill C11 that was passed in Canada this year will make it harder for Canadian youtubers such that they will be deprioritized in the algorithm. Do you have any strategies specific to the new legal context in Canada for Canadian youtubers? Thanks!
