Looks very dirty at the start, but I promise you that this vehicle would be absolutely perfect for the owner of a small business needing to haul small things around. It might be an older model but I could easily see this as the main working van for someone who might need it. It looks nimble and quite comfortable on the inside. It's also not as tall as other vans which is a nice touch.

The glorious F8Q 1.9D. These engines are pure reliability and just don't die. Very economical on fuel and repairs. My mom still has her Clio 2 with this exact engine.

It was either most likely stolen and abandoned in Estonia or perhaps illegally transported there by some shady business. Checked the plate and it was just deregistered and not registered as being exported, so Swedish authorities still assume that Renault is still somewhere within the Swedish borders when it is not.

My uncle used to have this exact model of renault kangoo for years and it was one of the most durable cars I have ever seen. He drove 1 million kms with it and it was still moving well with only minor flaws.

This is an early model (-00) before minor facelift, headlamps and rear lights are different than on the later models. Also called Nissan Kubistar, had one a couple of years ago, with 1.5 dCi (K9K) engine. A good drive-around car despite some negative points (weak electrical system, driveshaft seal's construction, front suspension springs). Anyway, it's quite cheap to purchase.

These engines will run for ever (Renault 19 taxis in Maghreb get near 1 million km with the original engine), but they are doomed if ever you let them overheat. The gearbox will fail if you drive it like a maniac (the groove containing main shaft in place will be eaten away)

Don't forget to drain the water from the cooling system. If you let it sit over winter the water will freeze inside your engine and it will crack.

That Swedish Renault Kangoo was never registered as being exported. From the facts that I have gathered is that it can be assumed that it was either illegally exported to Estonia somewhere in 2013 or before 2013 because that is when the car was deregistered. Or it was stolen and then subsequently transported and abandoned in Estonia. Why either of these are plausible is that according to Swedish law, you have to report to the Swedish DOT (Transportstyrelsen) when you are going to export a car to another country even if the car has been deregistered prior to export.

The F8Q just don't die if you take care of what you put as coolant, those head gaskets just hate water. I had 2 clios with that engine, you can drive as hard as you can but it will never reach to 6l/100km (on a Clio..of course). Those Kangoos are one of Europe best workhorses, very robust and reliable, and if you need to fix something are dirty cheap.

@@juan180p Many reliability issues, electrical gremlins from here to the moon. Gasoline engines that are very prone to overheating. On diesel engines, this exact issue that was shown here with the water pump and locking up pulleys...
