Hard to kill those "Pinto" style engines. My little Ranger is still going strong! Never had a single issue since it was brand-new 24 years ago. People knock on the Pinto's. It wasn't the engine that was junk. It was the transmission, and the rest of the car that was. Without said, the fit and finish on those are still better than most of the cars being built today XD

These were great. The most affordable of the "sporty" Sierras. I had a lovely white one in the mid 1990's that unfortunately got stolen and then burned out

Same as the Cowsorth but without the turbos. First used in the solid old Cortinas, these tried-and-tested motors are very bulletproof.

Even though its quite a beater. It was nice to see it all polished up. Not many of those left these days.

Great car, exactly the same, only in better condition, it's parked in the next village for maybe 15 years, it's also a 2.0i, I should probably rescue it! 💙

You can still buy Pinto engines today, the LRG-425 is the 2.5 litre "Lima" version of the Pinto, custom cam shaft, uprated injection and you got a real street sleeper.

Awesome 👌 Good old Sierra, definitely a one worth saving... especially being the 2.0i S version!! Very rare!! The later pinto with the stronger 205 block and much better head for the injection!! Amazing what a machine polish will do 👍 and off down the rally stage.. Excellent!!
