Hi SBG :)! If these videos do well and people watch them, sure I will build another lorry on the show. I'm really enjoying this one so far. This year I also want to build a Tamiya Tiger One WW2 tank on the show so that could be next. I need to save up a load more Tamiya tokens first mind lol. Love the show, keep up the great work! Gav

😂 3:38 No mistakes Gav? What about the front left shockabsorber which is on upside down then? The 25kg shiftservo might be a little bit overkill... As you might have noticed there are plenty of parts that need painting, like the fueltanks. It could pay off to leaf through the manual looking for parts to paint before starting to build the kit. Great video as ever, looking forward to the next part!

Hey Gavin, that part in the gear set build is odd the way they lay it out and flip it around in there without clear visuals. I know when I built mine I had to stare at it for a bit to figure it all out before putting stuff on! I totally agree with you, while these are pricey kits the build experience is awesome and I can see where guys get hooked building and customizing them all the time. If my wife wouldn't kill me I'd order two or three more for building over the winter!! Looking forward to seeing more and seeing it out running.

I find that once you get the chassis, spension, servos, differentions and transmission put together its all down hill from there. I've done 6 trucks. I also noticed and i agree with you After doing the semis. i started my Tundra Highlift a couple of months ago and I did noticed a lot of the parts were the same.

Nice one Gav! Number 20 in the manual on page 12 actually shows a twisted arrow between the different steps to indicate you have to twist the axle 😀 I know it's only one small arrow. I'm sure I would have missed it if I was building that truck.

Use a D battery to test your motor. Make sure your transmission is good. You can shift with your hand by pushing and pulling the shift bar. The rear diffs should be offset. Not in line or the axels will turn opposite each other.

You have built it with both Axles Upside Down! The axles bump stop uprights need to face up towards the chassis rails.

Yep it’s fixed along with the shock 👍🏻

You also don’t need to threadlock every screw just ones suggested in the book. I’ve run these from the king hauler days and my Volvo which is now 17 odd years old with hardly any threadlock and nothings ever fallen off. Better to have screws fall out rather than over doing it and they don’t ever come out again.
@RCKickschannel3 жыл бұрын
Yep I just thread locked as per the manual. 👍🏻

you've put the middle axle upside down.... the bump stop pegs on the axle casing should be pointing upwards, and them make sure when you spin the front diff input cup, both axles turn the same way, it's a common mistake that's easily made....

Excellent video, really enjoying the truck build so far. One thing puzzles me, why do people call the thread lock 'Loctite'? Surely Loctite is a brand of super glue, and nothing to do with thread lock as such? Can't wait to see the next part of the build, should be good!! I'd love to get a truck, the build would suit me down to the ground, just can't afford it....
@RCKickschannel3 жыл бұрын
Loctite is a brand of thread lock. Well it is in the UK :) The thing I have found with the truck and in part the Ford F350 I built a few weeks ago, you really get into the build way more than a buggy or road RC. I think it will take me a good week of solid work to come close to finishing a truck vs two days for a car.

Enjoy your build no need to ro Rush it hopefully it turns out well gos together hand and hand don't you love how Tamia just make the correct size for the Bolt picture on the instructions that transmission looks complex love it how it came together with the housing it looks like a real engine just imagine if you would have did it like a model and took your time and painted every single piece and made it look like an actual truck and then it could have been on RC realistic don't you love it how Gavin uses the cheap servos on his expensive cars is not there cheap they're actually pretty good I use those on every single one of my cars also two parts part 2 that's awesome🌻🍞🍟🍕🥓♥️🖇📫📝☮🎃🎎😘
