Detailing a dirty vehicle is for some reason my favorite part of buying used trucks. I'll do this before I even get them running. I like working on clean vehicles. It is very satisfying.

People that say nasty things are generally just a bunch of useless trolls anyway. This is not the channel to leave crappy remarks these are very nice add family friendly people. Negativity and crappinness needs to be left somewhere else.

That truck has a ZF-6 transmission. It's a 6-speed including the granny low. All the way left and up is low but I can't remember where reverse is but it looks like you figured it out. You can probably just google the shift knob to see what the pattern is.
@garthsgraveyardgarage6 ай бұрын
Left, up is reverse. Left, down is low. After I figured it out I ordered a proper shift knob 😁

Power steering on those Fords uses ATF.
@jimmiebrown50146 ай бұрын
Love you guys too
@williamclark46226 ай бұрын
Power steering fluid in those pumps will wear them out pretty quickly. Should use regular ATF in them, or if they are on their way out, you can put synthetic ATF in them and get a few more months of life out of them. Holding the steering wheel all the way to the lock left or right will wear the pumps out pretty quickly too. I usually hit the lock for a split second and then bring the wheel back a few degrees. Pretty terrible steering system in them, especially with oversized tires. I went through 3 pumps before I realized those tips. You can't beat a 7.3 powerstroke though. 683,000 miles on mine and she still purrs like a kitten.

Here in Michigan I’ve all have to pay extra for people who don’t have insurance. I’m with you Garth. No pity. I asked my insurance agent if they would pay when I got in trouble for beating the crap out of the person who hit me and didn’t have insurance. The reply was as long as you don’t do over $1 million damage to them we will pay so apparently my insurance company has no pity either.

Hey their,say ,I don't see, or hear anything negative about this build. For me. When you get a car/truck from somewhere else. You have tons of things to fix, address and so on. I been there and done this. If you had 4 people working with you it would be different, also life happens ,and I know you have to move on to other family duties etc. So ignore the negatives and move forward, at a pace the fits your style of working on any vehicle.
