Someone could make a whole video on the topic of lighting in trek shows and films, early TNG was so washed out and flat it was ridiculous, looked like a generic daytime network show, then theres Generations where the same ship apparently switched to dark mode for just those few days..... TOS was interesting, the first pilot was a bit darker than most of the show, then the show relied on bright lighting due to the cameras of the day, hence everyone looking kinda sweaty no matter the context, but at random intervals the sets would be noticably darker with likely non diegetic bands of light across their eyes. The films were all over the place, but especially with the exterior lighting, sometimes the ship was descretly lit by its own lights and a bit of environmental glow, then in the case of the 5th film it was practically iridescent.

@@FusionArmorX Exactly. I remember when we first see the Titan bridge in S3E1 and how dark it was. I was thinking when a starship would go to red alert, the bridge would darken. It helped increase suspense for us. So, when the Titan went to red alert I wondered would it go pitch black!? The exceptions were in TOS and TNG, but in the other series and the movies including the TOS ones they darkened the bridge during red alert. Of course the Titan bridge is just a slight redress of the Stargazer. I deliberately looked at the clip of when we first saw that when Picard meets Rio's on there in S2E1 and it looks a lot better.

Pretty sure she's really dead. For starters, whatever modifications these Changelings got may have made them better infiltrators but it seems, as a trade off, that they lost versatility in transformation ability because we did saw that Changelings could change into forms that can survive in the vacuum of space (in DS9 for exemple), yet she didnt even tried, which to me implies that these modified changelings cant change into everything like normal changelings. Like someone said on another video, they are more flesh than goo now. And even if she would have survived the initial ejection, her remains were still close to the Shrike when the Photon Torpedos hit. If the ejection didnt killed her, the explosion certainly did. And even if she did, miraculously, survived that, right now she's alone, in the vacuum of space, without a ship, not the best situation to be in if you ask me

but still there are big problems...she said fire everything and thats 4 photon torpedos? Phasers!? and stabbing a changeling really? that shouldnt work. And i fear that they rush the end again. 8 episodes and we are still at the beginning and know nothing really. The crew all together is great but it feels like it would have been better to have them together in 4 or 5 episodes so that they can do some things together. And Raffi is useless so far not sure why they kept her, Worf could have done everything alone too. Lets see what 9 and 10 will bring. But for yure a much better season than 1 and 2.

Looking at Shaws involvement, the only thing he contributed was being a pain in the ass, bringing up Picards Locutas history, and doing the chief engineers job… which by the way… does the Titan not have a senior staff? There are so many times Shaw or Seven or Riker should be on the comm to whoever is running a department… Really, you could lose Shaw, replace him with Seven and lose nothing with just some minor alterations to the script. His presence does add something… but it’s not the presence of a Captain. And that is something Secret Hideout actively do in all their content. Ignore command hierarchy and authority so people can indulge ‘feelings’ instead of calling for reports.

PERSONALLY I think in the Finale that Captain Shaw will FINALLY call her Seven and she will smile and say Thank You Sir. Also I think Janeway will offer Seven the Captain's spot on the New Voyager but she will decline and stay on Titan with her new family Jack, Sidney and even Shaw lol. I think Raffi will see her grandchild and say goodbye to Seven and choose to remain working with Worf in Starfleet Intelligence. Data won't be in Starfleet but act as a consultant when asked. Jack I can see legally change his name to Jack Picard, staying on Titan, and date Sidney,.pissing Geordi off. Jean Luc now FULLY retired will be at his vineyard and .work to change the recipe for his Chateau Picard wine because it sucks lol Beverly I can see returning to her work helping people on the edge of the Federation space. Oh and throw in A scene after the CREDITS with a male patient lying in a heavily guarded hospital room. He's slowly coming too but you don't see his face but you hear him say Where the hell am I? On the screen behind him it reads Patient: James T Kirk. I can dream can't I!????

Honestly Beyond is pretty awesome. 2009 is good, and Into Darkness is better IMO than Final Frontier and Insurrection. Strange New Worlds is good, Prodigy is good, Lower Decks is funny, and Picard Season 3 is Fantastic. IMO the only true trainwreck has been DISCO.

Aye. Beyond being in the hands of a director other than JJ allowed the script to flow. As opposed to JJ’s, marooning a cadet on a planet filled with hostile life forms, with nothing to point him to an outpost, when Enterprise had a perfectly serviceable brig. But then how else was Spock supposed to show up? Or meet Scotty? Or discover a means of intergalactic beaming? Basically… Beyond suffers from being JJ’s Kelvinverse… but it was handled better than JJ would have. Even if it was half an hour longer than needed. But kudos to the director… he had Kirk’s ‘to absent friends’ quote and the camera cuts to Anton. It was the film that said goodbye to two Trek actors.

Rafi's sword fight was very cool. Seven giving the orders to fire and Lt (the Bajoran guy at tactical) saying "with pleasure commander..." and destroying the Shrike was ....extremely satisfying. I don't think Vadic is really dead though. I believe some one will come along and pick up her remains and reformulate the diva to once again create chaos in the future for the federation.

Well, there is precedent. Spock was a captain, but served as first officer to Kirk in Star Trek V/VI. If you want to get technical, the Enterprise-A actually had THREE captains on board during it's tour of duty. People tend to forget that Scotty was actually promoted to 'Captain of Engineering' by Fleet Cmdr Morrow in Star Trek III, and was never demoted.

I think you meant if it is one of the Wraiths then it's not actually in him but maybe influencing him somehow. Cuz if you seen the recent Roundtable with the TNG old crew, the counselor was saying specifically that it wasn't in him.

This was all the more emotional through the hopelessness they had built up to this point with Vadic always seeming to succeed up until this point, including managing to get onto the bridge. The part where they opened the evacuation door, the klaxons blaring, I yelled as if my team had won the winning goal! Then when 7 orders the destruction was the icing of the cake!

This series is taking a stuck up captain (Shaw) and two older seasoned Captains are showing him the way to handle real threats out there in the galaxy. Shaping him into a better more upstanding captain. He is now hopefully humbled and will be able to take on more threats in the future. As long as they don't kill him off on the last episode.

Yeah, good point. Something tells me the Titan will be much busier after this show is over. The entire new crew is endearing in their own way. At the risk of sounding sheepish I wouldn't mind more. Matalas definitely seems to know what he's doing....he deserves his own planet or something.

I was sad to see Vadic go, she was the best character in this show and got me hooked on this season after skipping season 2. She deserved to somehow escape to later show up as a movie villain or something. If they do that now I’ll be disappointed as even if she did survive being shattered, the fragments would be scattered half way across the sector by the explosion of the shrike (assuming they weren’t vaporized in the blast.

The Shrike's deflector was like an evil, sickly version of the Enterprise-D's. Like a great eye looking outwards. It was so satisfying to see it destroyed.

Yeah he’s been kinda sidelined the last few episodes. He started strong but hasn’t been as strong in the second half of the season. Still hope we get a STAR TREK TITAN show with him, Seven, LaForge… sad the Vulcan passed, she seemed cool. A Titan show could give us post Picard trek and be like Strange New Worlds or Season 4 of Enterprise with 2-4 episode mini arcs and individual episodes too which sometimes run into legacy characters like TNG, VOY, and DS9 characters.

The funny part is seeing Vadic's crew still pointing their weapons at Jack and Seven (protected by a force field) when they heard Picard say "open the evacuation hatch now" like they still had some kind of control over everyone on the ship. Like they had no idea in just moments they're going to get sucked out into outer space? LOL
