VERSE 1:
My soul thirsts for things I can’t explain
In my bones a beckoning to pray
If my heart is a battleground
My defences run both ways
The flesh is a beggar and thief
But there is a Spirit-man awakening me
VERSE 2:
When real life and peace won’t make amends
When all these starts
Start feeling like these ends
Like the world is unravelling
And I’m bound to come undone
There is a Shepherd a Priest
There is a Comforter who comforts me
REFRAIN 1:
And my soul finds rest
Where it makes no sense
There the blood sets me free
REFRAIN 2:
All my old regrets
All my brokenness
All my failures redeemed
REFRAIN 3:
And it feels like grace
Where I stacked my shame
There the cross stands for me
REFRAIN 4:
All the things I’ve done
All the times I’ve run
All my dead ends redeemed
REFRAIN 5:
And it looks like hope
Where my heart was broke
And His heart broke for me
BRIDGE:
Lay your burden down upon
Down upon Him
Lay your burden down
PRE-CHORUS:
Jesus my rest in peace
My reconciler
You’re my every good thing
REFRAIN 6:
I surrender all
All I’m living for
You’re my every good thing
REFRAIN 7:
You’re my amnesty
You’re my split wide sea
You’re my every good thing
REFRAIN 8:
All my days and nights
You’re my death to life
You’re the wonder I breathe
REFRAIN 9:
You’re my can’t explain
First and last refrain
You’re my every good thing

Greatest man in history, had no servants, yet they called him Master. Had no degree, yet they called him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called him Healer. He had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today🙏🏻. His name is Jesus.❤

In the past, We did bad things, We spoke bad words, We lied not to go to church, We were unfair, We spoke bad about others, We treated others bad, We are always imperfect, ....but... There is 1 who loved us back then, loves us now, and will love us till the end of time, He'll forgive our imperfections, He is the most high, He has all the powers, He has all the keys, He owns all the Kingdoms, He owns all your dreams, He owns all your days, He owns the past, He owns the present, He owns the furure, He owns all the planets, He owns all the billions of Galaxies, He owns all the Universe and eventhough He owns all that... ....he decided to carry all humanity's sin on his shoulders, to suffer and let his body bleed and be destroyed, And all that for just 1 reason... ....because He LOVES you He loves us, and He did everything for you To be with you Our imperfections? He will forgive us, All he wants is our Heart for him. All we need is Love ...and Jesus is Love. The world needs Jesus. ...that is what I felt when I listened to this amazing song, (specially the chorus! :) Thank you God for giving us this music blessing through Hillsong God Bless you.

This song is becoming my go-to song. Hoping we get to sing these words when we're united with all the redeemed, before that split-wide sea of crystal that's before the throne. Thank you, Joel and Brooke, for sharing these intimate lyrical revelations, given you by the Spirit-man.

The song is literally a gift from up above brought down to earth. * It breaks the human heart to have the same heart as that of Jesus. * Reminds us that God is gracious and will be always there to catch us when we fall. * And all things from all walks of life starts and ends with Him. "The God who gives and the One who takes away." I can listen to this song all day. Thank You, Jesus. Thank You for using these two children of Yours. Indeed, You are my every good thing

Been having a hard time accepting the fact that I'm a mother now. It wasn't planned. Almost 8months down the line now it's been a struggle. Buh that verse right there breathed a new meaning into my situation, like it was the first time I've ever had to read it. I'll embrace this amazing gift of a beautiful daughter sent to me from above. God doesn't make mistakes
