Hi mate. In this video we break down the basics of making a top turn which you can do with any board. Of course a more advanced board will give you the possibility of tighter, faster, steeper turns. In general a shorter board is more responsive, but the whole shape of a board is important; bottom, rails, volume. So a longer board can be more responsive than a shorter board if the shape is a more advanced level shape. If you are in the pace of the wave and you work well with your focus and your body position and paddle position is correct, than the board will follow with the flow of the wave
