An Easter Egg you missed: When Ezra pretends to be a Night Trooper, one of those Night Troopers said LS-757. LS-757 is a Stormtrooper seen in the Rebels episode "Rebel Assault". He was stationed on Lothal and later on the Chimaera! Fun little easter egg/cameo! Love your easter egg videos!

Not a Star Wars easter egg, but a musical one: When the death troopers are being brought back to life, the score references "Danse Macabre" by French composer Camille Saint-Saens. It's a tone poem about skeletons rising from their graves, which is very fitting.

For me I think the only way to make a recast work is for something to happen to Baylan that slightly alters his appearance, like what happened to Sidious in ROTS but hopefully nothing that extreme, maybe like ageing instead. If not, I think the story arc should go to Shin, like if she finds out what he was up to and then picks up the arc from there. CGI is an absolute no go
@jordanjamison97
@jordanjamison97 Жыл бұрын
I think it's the end of Baylan's story, stranded on a planet with no chance of returning home. He was simply a tool for Thrawn/Morgan. But Shin's story is definitely not over. She has potential of joining Sabine and Ahsoka, and changing her ways instead of being groomed by Sith

I wonder if the head of The Daughter statue was removed at the same time she gave her life to save Ahsoka. It would be an odd thing to happen, but I think it sets up for us seeing the Mortis gods in some speaking capacity in a future season
@StarRider587

I would think less removed, and more probably fell apart on its own through mystical means. However, I personally am unsure about that before Father and Son also perished, so by that logic, the statues of all three Mortis gods should be headless. Realistically, it might just be coincidence that Daughter is the only one who is missing a head.

Another Narnia link that I'd never thought about before (haven't read them since I was a kid) is how the world between worlds from Rebels and Ahsoka is pretty similar to the wood between the worlds from the Magician's Nephew, in that it's a mysterious place that allows travel between different realms via portals.

I don't get why you think they're heading to Mortis. The World Between Worlds seems much more likely, with the Father, Son, and Daughter appearing on the gate to it at the temple on Lothal in Rebels, not to mention all the gold curved lines aesthetic in the show also being somewhat similar to that temple art. I do agree that the gold lines aesthetic also seems very Zeffo / Jedi: Fallen Order.

I'm not sure this is so much an Easter egg, but rather a comparison, as I was reminded during a re-watch of the series of the game Mass Effect, where the Citadel Cousin continually didn't believe the hero/heroine of the game, Shepard, of the threat of the Reapers. It just seemed exactly like how the Republic council didn't want to believe Hera about Thrawn and how it seemed like a made up threat. On a completely different note, I found myself thinking don't go with Luke when Jacen asked to be a Jedi. Thank you again for these videos.

@StarRider587

Except all three Mortis gods are dead. The Daughter sacrificed herself to save Ahsoka through some variation of Force heal with the help of Anakin, and Anakin killed both the Father and Son in order to restore balance to Mortis and prevent the Son from escaping into the galaxy. Because of that, all three statues should be headless, yet only the Daughter's is. If any of them are to make an appearance in a hypothetical season 2 or future series, its going to be the Father because he vanished into the Force, implying he became a Force ghost. The Daughter and Son didn't vanish.

I think Abeloth, or whatever scary thing thing Skoll awakens will be slowly built as a threat that Ray's companions will have to face. It might also give some explanation as to why Ahsoka and company were missing from some events. And who knows, they might use it to explain some of Luke's inactivity in dealing with the First Order. They really shot themselves in the foot with putting him on that island for such a long time. They will need to explain why the natural progression of his story was not realized (embracing attachments, new ideas for how Jedi conduct themselves). But I am not really an optimist. Honestly, I find myself much more excited for new stuff like high republic or first jedi story-lines, as well as these contain character stories like Cal Kestis and Andor (my favorite thing at the moment).

Ya know, maybe Abeloth arrives but that's assuming they're willing to go that route. Keep in mind, they replaced Darth Cadus with Kylo Ren, and they've completely upended Luke's Jedi Order and the position of Grand Master, etc. Disney isn't above rewriting or just straight up ignoring previously well established Lore. So, is it truly tough to believe they're not gonna be willing to delve into Abeloth? Is Disney ready for that? Does Filoni have a feasible way to handle her? I mean, Luke is still relatively young and learning, we haven't seen him do much in his prime cause they're already working around the Sequel Trilogy BS, and he doesn't have much of an Order at the moment. The powerful Jedi and Sith of the EU/Legends timeline that took her down don't exist here. Unless you think Luke, Cal, Ahsoka, Shin, Ezra, and a handful of Great mother Nightsisters will be enough to take down THE Abeloth? They really can't handle anything more than a single, regular Celestial, much less one who's strong enough to require the Son and Daughter to regularly lock her away. Maybe she's on the Father's level, but that hardly helps the case here, they'd still be no match. At best, they face a corrupted Celestial, one on the power level of the Son/Daughter, and are barely able to seal them away, but then it makes you wonder... why did the Mortis Gods have to potentially take the Dathomiri from Peridia to keep them safe from a single Celestial they'd have no problem tag teaming with relative ease? I dunno man, there's a lot to consider here, so, Abeloth or not, I'd say this a lot to take in on its own. But if it's THE Abeloth? Either she's been/going to be nerfed to hell, or it'll be someone weaker but for some reason the Mortis Gods couldn't handle it... maybe they didn't wanna kill one of their own Celestial kin so they locked them away, but knew they'd use the Dark Side to corrupt who they could? And since Nightsisters are fancy/esoteric force users, they'd be susceptible to this being, and they helped them to leave Peridia for that reason? Just saying, if it's Abeloth, the current Canon doesn't have enough OP hitters to handle her. Took the combined might of Jedi and Sith orders to handle her in Legends, and that was barely enough to lock her away again. With the force users we have NOW? Lmao, they're not stopping here.

There's publication order (which is actually more logical and how CS Lewis thought they should be read) and chronological order, which begins with The Magician's Nephew. Most editions do them by publication order, but some go by chronological order. So what Alex said was true, from a certain point of view.

There really is no telling if that light is the same fortress from Clone Wars, we did see it start to crumble and fall apart, but it's also just a super weird arc where things both do and don't happen, so there's really no telling. I lean more on the side of it not being that fortress. A similar one, perhaps, but the same one, no.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I did notice that the Death Troopers didn't have glowing green eyes, at least not that we could see through their helmets. It's possible the lenses just don't allow for light to pass through in the same way that Stormtrooper helmets do, but, tin foil hat on, it could also indicate that they weren't being fueled by Nightsister magick?

One change that could have made Ahsoka so much better - REPLACE SABINE SURPRISE JEDI-HOOD with EZRA AND SABINE ROMANCE! But of course Filoni and George Lucas can’t write that thus bring in Claudia Gray of Lost Stars. Romance explains why she gave up the map, the couple goes home together so no trooper armor nonsense because they are found kissing each other thus no helmets and Ahsoka is alone on Peridea so we can have a real Ahsoka centric season 2 😊. Simple fix to Thrawn get Zahn 🎉 to co-write with Gray ❤, so that everyone can shine like Avengers(2012) instead of the gender bias where Sabine, Ahsoka and Night mothers outdo Ezra, Thrawn and Xiona. Baylan and Shin are good because of the balance and equality 😮. Gray and Zahn would fix writing illogic, more adult/child balance and weaving in the under developed parts(more answers) 😅.huujh

Besides the obvious flaws in Filoni's writing, what really grinds my gears is the fact that while a certain someone (Luke, if anyone remembers him) is trying his best to restart the Jedi order while Ahsoka casually hangs around with Huyang and his spaceship that is basically a mobile jedi temple, complete with archives, dojo and lightsaber workshop. Not giving the son of her ever so revered former master access to this and flying this invaluable relic into a warzone, even stranding it in another galaxy... that's just contemptuously arrogant.

I just find it funny how many Jedi keep running around when there is a movie called the "Last Jedi" not too far off in chronology So I can't wait to see how all the Jedi will die stupidly, run off into the unknown regions or even funnier come out of under rock to say hi to Rey

@@l33t9r0u93 It was even worse in "Legends." Besides a Jedi Master (instead of just a Padawan) being stranded in another galaxy, there was also a Jedi Master woken from a long, enchanted sleep, a Jedi with her mind trapped in an Imperial ship, a Jedi who time skipped to the present, etc. At least Yoda's claim of "When I am gone, the last of the Jedi you shall be" is still mostly accurate in the new canon. Ahsoka had left the Order and had yet to recommit to it (if she ever will). Those like Baylan and Reva (still true despite being redeemed) who had abandoned the ways of the Jedi (even those who didn't fall to the Dark Side) don't count. Ezra was stranded in another galaxy, and we don't know if Cal Kestis survived that long, and they were both technically only Padawans, anyway.

@Compucles
@Compucles Жыл бұрын
@@poenpotzu2865 That kind of stuff didn't matter much, since most Jedi and even most Sith don't bother to have children. It's just that Force sensitivity is more likely to be passed down through their children, yet there are also plenty of others who are the first of their line. Either way, they have special powers that others don't and need to be trained to control those powers and hopefully use them responsibly. It's no different than magic powers in "Harry Potter" or many other magic-based fantasy series or even the mutants in "X-Men." Personally, I prefer for there to be a strict line between those who are Force-sensitive and those who aren't while still leaving room for those who are naturally less talented like Sabine but still at an advantage over someone who can't manipulate the Force at all. (Whether you think that level of talent and/or the concept in general should have an explicit explanation like midi-chlorians or be completely ambiguous is a different issue.) Just because the Force resides in all living things doesn't necessarily mean that any living thing has the potential to actually manipulate the Force.
