@WiiManElite In the movie they never said Clones had chips in their brains, chips that control their actions and motivations. In the movie they said that Clones were bred for obedience. The whole chip idea was something that was made up for Rebels and the Clone Wars cartoon. You know they have chips in their brains. To me that's just something where some writer came by and was like: "Clones being bred for obedience doesn't make much sense, we'll just say they have chips in their brains." To me it's just ehhhh. It's all kinda dumb and i'm not really a fan of that. I'm not a fan of just like writing your own excuses for someones nonsense writing. You know Overall, to me it seems that subsequent writers just never seem too happy with how the Clones work, so they keep changing them and their motivations around. To be quite honest i'm not a fan of the Clones anymore in general. They're just a bad contrived Prequel idea that never makes much sense no matter how many revisions they go through.

At this time Anakin could become more powerful than Mace. Few more years of training will make difference. J thing Mace will be 3rd. It's also important to note that Maul has been training from episode 1 to 3 + additionall years after Sidius escape. It's like whole Anakin live. His power will be equal or slightly less than his master's so he could take out Mace easily. In best scenario he was medium opponent.

I think Palpatine is manipulative enough that he would let himself get arrested, using all his political connections and allies to convince the senate he's innocent, make the Jedi look bad in the process, and then be released a free man (possibly protected by Double Jeopardy if Star Wars has it). That would then force the Jedis' hands. They can't let Palpatine go free knowing he's a sith lord; however, attacking him would trash all public perspective of them and play right into Palpatine's hands. Oh how I wish they would. So many amazing and very real possibilities to work with while still keeping the personalities and traits of the characters identical. I don’t speak for everyone but I would’ve much rather seen this or another great fan fiction as a film being well done as opposed to what we got with the sequel trilogy. It had so much potential but it was ruined by the wrong people. So seeing something like this would’ve been far superior and so refreshing for me.

Honestly, it's hard to say who would win, since the two of them were masters of different styles, yet equally as skilled. Anakin was stronger in his natural Force abilities (or Midichlorian count....god, I feel dirty saying that); but Mace was no push-over himself, and had the advantage of experience. Furthermore, in a lightsaber fight, Mace would have owned Anakin's arse any day of the week.

depends. the best fight weve seen to judge his strength is jango, who isnt exactly a sith. the fight he had with palp isnt really fair to use, since its entirely possible, if not most likely, that he let mace gain the upper hand to ensure anakin would turn. let me put the events in order so you can see just how likely this is palp knows anakin is going to get a jedi master. anakin said so. he also knows mace is the only counsel member in the area, as the others have left on missions. mace and anakin dont get along. every time anakin has tried to progress, mace shut him down. the relationship is rocky, and hes the jedi anakin is least likely to trust. next, palp tells anakin hes a sith, knowing that at that point palp could take him on. but instead, anakin leaves to tell the only jedi master on the planet. immediately after the fight starts, palp kills the other jedi. these guys are the only ones there who would have protested they kill a surrendering palp. the only one left was mace, known for using the dark side of the force to aid him in combat. next, he sensed anakin coming, as he knew the arrogant boy would, and faked a surrender. but mace wouldnt accept it. then anakin, who was in the middle of regretting killing a surrendering sith (which palp made him do) was watching a jedi master about to do the same thing. he had already decided this wasnt how jedi act, and begged mace to stop. all the while, palp begged for his life. when mace went for the killing blow, anakin saw how the jedi were not the force of light they claim to be. a jedi was acting in the same way they were told sith act. all of this was done by palp to get anakin on his own side. if anakin walked in on palp killing mace, his turn would never happen. so instead, palp fakes a loss to get his apprentice. this is why we cant use the palp fight to judge how strong mace is, so we cant really say he would beat or lose to maul. so its whatever the plot demands!

Training would help him utilize it more effectively, but still wouldn't make it stronger. On top of that, Mace is a master duelist, in vaapad. Maul's dark side strength would only enhance mace's combat. Finally, Mace has much more combat experience over Maul. I'm sorry, but in no alternative universe does Sidious have time to make Maul an equal to Mace.
