This is why the song is called “Duel Of Fates” The battle between Maul, Qui Gon, and Obi Wan determined the fate for Anakin and the entire plot line of star wars. If Qui Gon survived, he would have been there for Anakin as a father figure, and Anakin might have never joined the dark side. We know what happens when Obi Wan won, and this is a great example of what would happen if Maul won. Great video.

Anakin was literally the embodiment of the force he was able to make both the dark and light submit simultaneously with just his force connection as well as turn the planet they were standing on. People like to down play anakin compared to Luke purely because Vader had less potential. Anakin was the chosen one and Luke inherited that power from anakin

Anakin was 9 when he was first taken by Maul, then spent 13 years training under him. He was 19 when the clone wars began, and 21 when they ended. The empire was a thing for about a year by the time the main part of the story happened.

I just realized this. Anakin's last name, Skywalker, means slave. He is a slave in the beginning, wanting to be free. He gets freed only to become a slave to the Jedi. He felt restrained by his chains and wants to be freed. He is freed by the Sith but only to be a bigger slave to the Sith and only gets out by killing himself and his master. Anakin was always a slave.
