I rode the Comet at least 500 times. I knew every inch of that track circuit, and I must say, you nailed it! Better yet, this gives the viewer of how the old coaster probably ran when it was brand new. Very pleasing experience. Thank you! 🎢🎢

Thank you! I'm envious that you got to ride it. It looked fun.

I have a vague memory of riding it before they tore it down, but I remember a Comet JR that used to be at the Fair... a kiddie-type, smaller version, and it wasn't bad. I remember telling my father I wanted to buy the JR version and put it in our backyard. (Of course, I was dreaming - it would never fit in our backyard.)

Wish the state fair of texas still had this and would be a great carnival fair amusement park! Sucks we don't have the Texas Cyclone or astroworld anymore I'm still mad about!

Sixflags kind of Just fucks up massive parks anyway, they had this one and blew it! It’s a good idea to not trust Sixflags with bigger parks cause they can’t handle that.

awesome job on this one! i was an OU band member and every year we'd go to the Texas game we rode this in our band uniforms. i always loved the fact the coaster's color scheme matched our uniforms! LOL seriously though, one of my all time favorite woodies. it had some fantastic airtime!

Great video! I want you to recreate Montana rusa, a PTC woodie that operated at isla del coco in Cuba from 1951 to maybe 1982. I would love to see it! But remember, use rcdb to find this coaster cus there is not a lot online aside from rcdb

Thanks! I actually made a clone of it that operated at Rocky Glen. It's the exact same ride, except the wood wasn't painted. kzbin.info/www/bejne/e6qraatsr6uJrpI

I see a lot of potential with this coaster. You can bank the turns. You can raise the height a few more feet to cause more speed. Then you could lower and raise the turns. Nice ride

Was this the one that was in Smokey and the Bandit, or was that one down in Georgia?
