Hey Jeff! Always loving your vids! Wanted to make a point about this problem, especially about the 2nd part: This formula works for when there is slippage. So the 2nd part is not when its in equilibrium, but rather the force required for her to LOWER the 100 # dude down.... So, I'm left to wonder, what (diff) formula do we use to find the force when she is just "holding" his weight... (not raising him or lowering him)...???

In both cases it is the force to keep the boy stable on his position. If you change the results very slightly ( case one + 0.1, case two - 0.1) the boy starts to move..

In pulley belt equation one is T2=T1e^.3pie and equation 2 you will get from moment at centre solve both you will get T1 T2 and proceed further if they ask something more force p you can find having one more moment out side in side corner where p is only unknown
