My friends and family think that I’m crazy eating red meat, eggs, and bacon everyday as they all struggle with their weight and health.

Remember, your friends don’t understand human evolution and as for nutrition, meats have all the essential nutrients we need for an optimal life. Also, the nutrition “science” is bogus, based on surveys. The American Dietetic Association is funded by processed food corporations. We are hunters, not fermenters.

So true. I buy raw goat milk from a small farmer. The other day he made a remark to me saying "Oh, yeah, you only eat meat. You need to eat vegetables." He's a vegetarian, mainly lactovegetarian. I told him "I feel better on all meat and that I was a Vegetarian for about a year, but craved red meat the whole time. Plus it keeps me nice and trim." He said, "yeah but you must workout a lot." I said, "Nope. I workout 20 minutes every 4 to 7 days and that's it." He looked at me confused and then said, "I bet if you had lab test done you'd be shocked!" I laughed and told him, "I had a complete physical through Toyota Corporation and the technician said 'we had to double check your age because you're test results we that of someone much younger." He then said, "You're going to have a heart attack." 😵💫😵💫😵💫

Very much enjoyed this, I too am horrified by how most young people look, not just physically but they seem absolutely miserable, carrying tons of excess weight, bad skin, not umph in their step, glued to their phones and always a sugary or carby bev or snack in their hands. Attention should be paid to honor the diminutive actress, the late great Clara Peller, who did so much in the 1980s to speak on behalf of meat eating Americans when she introduced the famous catchphrase "Where's the Beef?" It's not surprising that she was able to bring such authenticity to the role, considering that she spent 35 years living in Chicago, working as a manicurist - probably in the shadows of some of our greatest meat processing facilities. Let's all take a moment to honor her soul for doing so much early on for the Carnivore community. And let's all remember that as the days grow shorter and colder, our need to eat more meat increases - even among those who won't acknowledge a basic human instinct and thus refuse to begin their KETO Carnivore journey.

This is very helpful. THanks for this interview. I've known for a few years, lockdown experimentation of strict home only cooking. If I make the bread, i can eat a boat load and feel good. If it's store bought, blessed/holistic/sourdough. NO WAY. bloats right up. Even if it just has 4 ingredients. Same for going out to eat. Burger at home, homemade bun and homemade avacado mayo. Great. Out to eat, probably store bought mayo, bloated and crampy. Even grassfed beef at the restauraunt. There are lots of additives to bread, meats and oils that you dont have at home. Or it's the dish water rinse trash on the plates, or cook wear. Who knows. They use polyquats in the soaps or rinshes. I've seen it in person. There are so many things to consider. Michael, thanks for the obvious yet I need someone else to say it. Just do what feels good. Do not get swayed by someone if they say your wrong. If they are ripped, feel great, maybe try it. If you are trying and don't get ripped or loose weight and feel bad. Try something else. This bizzar thing that says. Eat once a day. Then I loose a ton of weight and feel great. MIND BLOWN. I'm trying more carnivore like just starting last night. I think it is the right thing for me. My hands were drying out again. People say, oh it's just winter cold air. Well if half a day of just protein and fat, then my hands moisten up. That is hard to debate as the temp is the same out. 30's F in the mornings. Dry air in the house too. Same water intake. Just less veg and seeds/nuts. More fat too. I drink heavy cream, had some last night. Maybe my macros are just off in general. Do protein with carbs make a bad/difference. This is the second time I'm hearing that. Should you eat them in separate meals if you do eat them?

I'm a 75-year-old man my blood work is a mess not by my dialysis doctor about my primary I'm trying carnivore and they keep bugging me about eating more vegetables I'm eating too much protein so I've been doing dialysis for about a year and a half and I'm wondering what your thoughts or at this time in my life
@anthonychaffeemd2 жыл бұрын
Personally, I think the evidence shows that you're doing the right thing for your health, especially for your kidneys. Higher protein is good for your kidneys, not hard on them, and veggies have tons of things that are harmful to the kidneys, like oxalates. Higher protein diets do not damage kidneys(2): . Think about the diet that got you to where you are. For example, I had a conversation with a woman who has chronic bladder infection, frequent kidney problems, chronic severe rosacea on her face who had suffered from those conditions for over 15 years. She had a semi-perminant catheter installed in her bladder while traveling on public transportation. When I suggested she consider a meat based diet, she said she loved veggies and didn't like meat very much and her doctors told her not to eat much meat. My question was, how has that worked out? All of that long (true) story is to think about what your doctors are telling and how well has that worked. How many decades have you eaten a heavy starch diet? In my late 60s I found I had cardio vascular disease and dove into the cause. My doctor wanted to put me on Statins and "watch it". I researched and found my high carb diet was the root cause of my disease. When he said no low carb diet, but had no science to back it up, I chose my own council. Now in my 70s I'm stronger than ever and my CVD has stopped progressing.

Nick Mosley, 75 years old? Get started now! Don't stuff around! Go full carnivore! You'll feel years younger. Your testosterone will improve. You might get some of your hair back. And you won't ask stupid questions, like this one. Go for it! Don't worry about the plant weirdos around you. When you show the benefits from the carnivore diet, they'll become carnivore too. Get on with it!

At 42 minutes in the video you talk about feeling lethargic after eating your big Carnivore meal. Here's why... Eating outside of the Stomach Meridian (based on Ancient Chinese Medicine) will cause energy reduction and digestive issues. The "Stomach Meridian" is from 7 to 9am which is when digestion is the strongest. Eating a huge Carnivore meal at this time will not make you lethargic for the day, but just the opposite. Plus, if you eat this meal as OMAD you will notice many benefits including increased sleep quality, reduced morning fasting glucose numbers and increase energy, lack of hunger and lower LDL numbers. Also, you will be in a fasted state after 4 hours of eating so working out after 1pm in this case will be "working out fasted." Try it an reap the rewards!
@SG-ji5ij2 жыл бұрын
Also to note: I've found it best to start eating closer to 7am (I have my food prepared to eat by 7:30am). You need two sessions of eating if doing OMAD before the Stomach Meridian ends at 9am. Eat your first meal to satiate. Then wait 30 minutes and you'll notice you will be able to eat again (you won't be able to eat as much as the first session). Eat again until satiate and finish eating by 9am. You will not be lethargic once you adapt (takes about a week or so) and there will be no hunger throughout the day. If you can ground (Earthing) yourself while eating and for 20 minutes after you'll notice even better digestion as well.

In the salmon farms , sick fish ,full of anti biotics , lice , and we eat them , by the way these farms can seem idyllic , they are aweful . Their diseases kill fish in the rest of the sea .😉😩

@@williamdodge8425 the thing is these farms are fenced of regions in the sea , be it Alaskan or wherever . They are crowded in and stressed because they don't get to go to their spawning grounds , overfed so they grow but don't get to complete their natural circle of their lives . Can a fish be depressed ? 😂 Not sure , it's like me being kept in my house ,but not allowed to go out x

Any tipps for Mast cell activation syndrome or histamineintollerance on a carnivore diet anyone? And also I'm wondering, I and many people get crippling insomnia starting the diet could it be that without carbs your body registers that you are underweight and thus is stressed and keeping you up or waking you up? Seems like this for me I'm first trying to gain a few extra pounds before I retry

if you're histamine sensitive it would make sense to stick to ruminant animals and stay away from animals whose histamine sources are otherwise high (pork, processed chicken,). you can also engage in slow cooking to minimize histamine exposure.

I was shocked by how disgusting they were . It's like eating cold tallow mixed with a pinch of hamburger beef and crushed stones...I'm not kidding! ( I thought I was going to crack my teeth!) @@janonthemtn This is true. Im in the process of getting that from a doctor. Not sure if from her Naturopath or get a teleconference from one at JohnsHopkins Medical teaching Hospital. We live in western WA. Shan wouldn't eat the casserols and all the vegetarian mixed up food they made for the other 4 clients. With help she bought a lot of her own food, but she loves salmon, hamburger, steak and shrimp. Due to the covid lockdowns as well as some other stuff that wasn't good at the group home, I moved her out and with me. It takes more then one person, so now we are looking for her next home. It is challenging because after 3 years of her being with me after being in a group home for about 25 years, its hard to trust others. We have just met a couple who run the first AFH...I specifically requested no vegetarian run home and ...THEY ARE and have been all their lives due to the reason behind it is their religion.

@@jessideb333 I worked in group homes, they can hide any negatives with cooperation from most staff. If a staff is honest, they are a "bad apple" and sooner or later they will find a reason to get rid of them. A quote from a resident in a group home to me, "all the good ones leave." I have seen staff vote for the people in DD populaton in group homes. Reported this to Board of elections>"there is nothing we can do about this."

@@janonthemtn Thank- you for sharing this. As family we were there and involved with Shannon more then other families. The manager of all the homes had a negativity toward us. Could have been that when the original manager was there (very nice woman) my daughter and I were instrumental in getting one of the managers fired. It was for things she did that were not appropriate. After the new manager over all the homes stepped up, after Kathy retired, they always seemed to have a problem with me. Try your own homemade things. See how you feel. I feel great making donuts fried in coconut oil. You get full after one or two. French fries in homemade rendered lard or tallow. You get full. Both of these do not upset my stomach in any way what so ever. I actively tried these types of things in an attempt to find out what does or doesnt make me feel good. Seed oils don't make you full. That is a fact. Eatting store bought natcho chips, maybe ok at the moment. But I gain weight, after a few days of eatting a moderated amount. Around 15 to 20 chips at a time. It is hard to digest and gets sent to fat, not energy right away. Eating out wrecks me every time. Unless it's grandmas mexican food. Or salad made with love and homemade dressing. Or high quality steak. Or eggs in butter. I homebrew beer and drink it with good success and no ill effects. Maybe that is the link for you Dr. You have no idea what the factories or breweries are adding. I know for a fact a jumbo brewery near me, I wont say who. Adds enzymes or proteins or something to increase shelf life. Not to mention the can liners questionable ingredients. Beer is a PH from 4 to 5. Is it epoxy, polyurethane, silane. Who knows for sure. Once you get to a good spot with lowerd inflammation. Then consuming something that doesn't work so good, is much easier to see. The general statement I've experienced and hear lots is; going out to eat makes me sick. Well yeah, there are so many things you may not know what's in it, or on it. Doing a restaurant elimination diet is probably impossible. But not going out is much easier. Bring your own foods, or go shopping on the spot. OMAD straightened me out. Give something a go. What do you have to loose. Keep up the good work Doc.

Lots of great things pointed out here, however, this ‘one solution fits all’ ideology is problematic. There are healthy carbs and unhealthy carbs. Eating processed, seed oil loaded crap will lead to multiple problems, including metabolic dysfunction. However, eating some natural, in-season whole fruits with at basically meat based diet with organs, eggs, and raw dairy (if there is no issues) is a much more ancestrally authentic for human beings who have been eating that diet for hundreds of thousands of years. I was a pure carnivore until my electrolytes went dysfunctional on me and no matter how many electrolyte supplements it tried, the issue persisted. Insulin is not evil. Insulin is one of the best anabolic hormones that properly gets the electrolytes into the cells of your body. Sure, in the beginning of this journey, if you are diabetic and need to get your blood sugars leveled, go carnivore. However, if you don’t feel good and notice lots of muscle cramping, then don’t fall into this dogmatic rabbit hole and vilify carbs.
