Hi Dr Chaffee ..Maggie here ..This is another good example of how REALLY important it is to have these simple explanations for the many different issues that come up to a person "newly introduced" to the Carnivore diet .. My husband of 7 years finally decided to join my way of eating ..He's 69 now and 2 1/2 YEARS on a 100% Carnivore diet . Hìs excess weight came off and MANY long time issues were resolved ..BUT... All kinds of negative "issues" came up, OFF AND ON ....constipation, diarrhea , fatigue, pains here and there ( fibromyalgia?) and headaches .. It has taken A COUPLE OF YEARS for ALL of these issues to finally resolve themselves . As a life-long carnivore, I couldnt explain ANY of this to him ..but since there's no plants of any kind in the old house , there was no CHANCE of him reverting back to an omnivore diet😅 , so all these issues have finally waned and disappeared . But THANKYOU Dr Chaffee for tackling all these issues that obviously DO come up and present themselves to people trying to find their way to good health. But gratefully, You NEVER slough them off even if they are "idiopathic" issues .. People just have to remember that a body that has been abused for YEARS , just CANT heal overnight !! And who knows what toxins their bodies HID for those years , just to survive..and NOW that body has to DEAL with them!! I'm almost 84 now and have never had ANY medical issues except for injuries that were caused by my own stupidity (and lack of patience!! 😂) I am a full time rancher ..as a working cowboy I have to work every bit as hard and long as I did at 20 .. Folks ..just listen to Dr Chaffee ..he STUDIES AND RESEARCHES EVERYTHING .. AND ..he explains facts and data in down to earth explanations ..he questions ALL new data and he IS NEVER equivocal on ANY MATTER . You will see this too , if you are seriously looking for the TRUTH in your search for good health, and listen to his past videos . Thanks again, Dr Chaffee.. for bringing ALL your knowledge to us and never dodging the difficult questions that may bring doubts and questions from people who are struggling with a new way of eating . ❤ Cheers , Maggie

Hey Dr. Chaffee! Just got my 3 months bloodwork results!!! Went from Stage 3 Kidney Disease to Stage 2!!! In addition, all of my liver reading levels (ALT, AST, ALP, Billirubin, and Albumin) are all at normal levels. My previous bloodwork results back in July revealed I had fatty liver disease. Lastly, my blood glucose level was 100.04 (prediabetic) back in July. Now my current blood glucose level is now 83. I’ve only been doing carnivore for less than a month!! I can see my waist shrinking with each passing day!! I don’t even crave eating like I used to. At my heaviest I was 304 lbs. (I was 296 lbs. back in July). Now I’m 255 lbs. with another 60 to go! Hi, Dr. Chaffee -- I'm sorry to hear about the people who are posting such nonsense about your credentials. I have been watching your videos since I embraced the Carnivore way of eating a little more than two years ago, and the information you provide has been so valuable. I also remember when you reached out to Bill Nott last year when he was trying to figure out a medical issue he was facing that was causing him pain. Even with a schedule as insanely busy as yours, you reached out with compassion to Bill. I learned about you shortly after seeing a video from Dr. Ken Berry about the proper human diet. This was such a contrast to all of the anti-meat, anti-fat messaging I had been hearing for years. Then, I found your channel and Dr. Shawn Baker's channel. Thank you for being such a valuable resource for all of those who follow the Carnivore way of eating, and for those who are considering Carnivore. This is the ONLY way of eating that gave me truly good health, after years of carb-and-sugar dominated eating. I also learned about Carnivore bars from you. When I was in Montello, WI a few weeks ago, Adam Lacy gave me a couple of Carnivore bars to eat on the plane home, and they were delicious! With great appreciation for all you do to support the Carnivore way of eating - Lori

I feel like a lot of the videos for carnivore are saying how great it is and there are only a few in between that really tell you how bad it can get. A lot depends on your health when you start. Sudden drop in energy as your body tries to use the new fuel for repair itself, no quick access sugars, oxylate dumping etc. It is rough. But keep going and you will get there. Just hoping that I can force myself through this time, I continuously fail to stick to the diet :-(

My biggest hope is to naturally restore some of my hormone function, I’m lower even than post menopause should be. It would be great to eliminate the amour. The cream of the crop would to reverse the alopecia. My hopes are low on that because EVERYTHING I’ve attempted has not worked at all. Hearing about how the carnivore diet can put Crohn's into remission makes me both happy and sad. I'm happy for everyone who can overcome this terrible disease with dietary change, but saddened that my father won't be one of them. He struggled with sever ileitis his whole life, endured 2/3 of his intestines being removed via three surgeries, lived on bread, pasta, and sweets because his doctor told him to stay away from "too much meat", and eventually died from cancer that began in his gallbladder and spread to his pancreas. When his doctor first diagnosed him with cancer, he also told him he'd be lucky to live three more months. For the first time in my father's life he listened to me when I told him to only eat meat. He lived over three years past his "expiration date", but then he went back to eating the way the doctor told him to and died less than a month later.

Dr. Chaffee, I must make a complaint, but I will 1st say that you are one of the most genuine Dr.s in this keto/carnivore space. I believe you are genuinely trying to figure out the truth. Your ancestral theories make enormous sense. Today you said that 3 litres of water /day might be appropriate. But some other Dr.s have been stating that our requirement for water is vastly overstated. I'm not claiming to know the truth, but ancestrally that seems excessive and completely impractical. I'm not even saying you're wrong, but it's very frustrating to have people you trust be so diametrically opposed on such a seemingly straightforward issue. I guess I just wish we could have an ultimate roundtable discussion about matters that need to be figured out. I mean roundtables with tons of back and forth on all the topics that we get different advice about, many issues...from water consumption/hydration to the importance, or lack thereof to being in 24/7 ketosis, and so many other topics. And i know science isn't done by consensus (properly) ,but with unlimited back and forth, we may be better able to move forward. I know this is a pie in the sky wish, and it would be a costly logistic nightmare, but I believe it would help sort the wheat from the chaffe. I will also say that I could post this comment on any channel, but i chose yours because you dont delete or hide unless you're dealing with a ridiculous troll. My list, just from the top of my head, on who I would love to see in such a roundtable I'm sure I'll forget a few. Dr. Chaffee, Bikman, Nokes, Mason, Berry, Baker, Prof. Kay, Westman, Cho,

I think Dr Elizabeth Bright would encourage less protein and more fat. Fat is an instant appetite suppressant so maybe try butter in your decaf coffee, butter in bone broth. Less protein. It’s possible you’re eating too much protein. We really don’t need much when the fat content is high enough.

Regarding fibromyalgia and fatigue it could also be electrolytes in particular sodium. Especially if other POTs type symptoms such as headaches or migraines are present. Magnesium Glycinate as an electrolyte taken at night can also help a bit with fibromyalgia. Harder cheeses can be an easy way to up sodium if you're not intolerant, but if you are be mindful it could make it worse too.
