It's very admirable of Erwan to include the agricultural crisis in the country in this video and how we can do something about it. Because it is really us who can do something about this, by being more mindful of what we buy and how it affects the rest of the country.

I’m so glad you mentioned the plight of rice farmers, Erwan. Makes me recall those beautiful rice terraces of Sagada you showed us. My fieldwork in S India has demonstrated similar problems. Rice, a staple, is being imported. One of the problems here is the high cost of labor for the intense work rice growing requires. People go off to college then migrate to cities leaving older parents to farm the land. Thank you for your great videos.

i was never a fan but after hearing you talk about the crisis our rice farmers are now dealing with, I began to have so much more respect for you. Social/public figure should start to be more vocal about this issue, because this is very important. Rice is a staple in filipino meals and we are now seeing our rice farming industry die slowly (with the situation that our farmers are experiencing now). Thank you for discussing this issue in you VLOG. -from a farmers daughter.

I grew up planting, harvesting manually then dry the palay and carry palay in sacks or basket home then pounding the rice, its really really hardwork. We plant palay for our own consumption though and before we used Carabao to plow the fields. But now all they need is gasoline ,:). Anyhow, thank you so much for all your videos about Philippines. ❤️and your recipes.

Hi. Jeff here. If ever you are thinking of people to help out on losing weight, maybe i can volunteer. I am 28yrs old, weighing about 240-250lbs. I used to workout, reached up to 187lbs before but gained it back again. I have the will but not enough for me to get back in the gym and eat healthy again. I know this might take a long shot, but if ever it crossed your mind to help out others, i am willing to give it my 110% just to be happy again and be the person i used to be before. Your story and your fitness journey is my inspiration. Its just, i don't know where to start. Maybe i just need that push to take me to that happy place again. Cheers to you and your channel.
