Yes she looks very sad and hasn't really been coping with her husband's death accordingly. It's almost painful to hear her speak. Her attorney is even worse because he knew she didn't have sufficient evidence to proof her case. The money she spent to bring this attorney to PPC she should have spent it on a good therapist. You can see that she is sad, angry and doesn't know who to blame and how to get rid of those feelings. I feel for her.

I agree, I feel terrible for her losing her husband, but her husband had a business and she clearly wanted the business to keep going. So to me taking 18 months to pay is wrong. Especially as she made it sound like he was calling the minute her husband was dead. A lot of employees couldn't wait that long to receive money they're owed. I gather it was a side job as he was filing invoices but he still needed to be paid and he actually showed a lot of patience over the situation. I think she was still in the fog of grief and so couldn't think straight over this.

My husband makes property deals like this all the time. He doesn’t always tell me. Sometime I just see a new vehicle or machinery and he explained someone gave him for work he did or he tells me I’m doing this job for this person because they are gonna give me a car as payment. It’s a common thing with men in business.
@mandawood9756

My dad did that often. He preferred to barter over paying cash because it was easier than writing a check and he never had more than $15 on him. It was often a piece of equipment that wasn’t even worth the gas to haul it off, but that’s how he did things. My mom just rolled her eyes and kept the coffee pot full.

@shendisackett
@shendisackett 2 ай бұрын
@@Grace-tc1lqshe said she wanted her children to have the wave rider and that is what the conversation was many times that it should go to her children. I noticed she not once said our children, so maybe they weren't his biological children and he was their StepDad. It seems to me he may have decided it would be too dangerous for the kids, or maybe he was tired of her keeping on at him about the waverider and so decided to sell it. It was his property to do what he wanted with and I think the grief is stopping the lady from thinking straight about this. She probably never asked much about his business dealings, or if she did he was the type to say don't worry it's all taken care of. I feel bad for the defendant with the way she talked about him, like him nagging her for money, when in fact he waited 18 months to be paid. I think in time she will come to realise the defendant was a nice guy and a loyal worker and she treated him badly. She should also have had somebody go in to the business and catalogue all the assets when he died, that way if the waverider wasn't there then she would have known for sure her husband did a deal over it. You would think somebody would have stepped up to help her and advise her about doing these things.

The fact that the Defendant had a bill of sale/title and was able to register it, kind of backs up the fact that the Plaintiff's husband gave the jetski to the Defendant as partial payment. Her attorney should have advised her against bringing this to court. She just doesn't have the proof to back up her allegations.

If i was him i'd sue her for defamation. She already made him wait 18 months for payment on another job. Her husband got sick and had huge medical bills and financial trouble so he did the smart thing and got $500 cash and $2,500 free labor for a pool for his kids, and irrigation/ landscaping to make the yard more manageable for his wife after he died, all in exchannge for an old wave runner nobody even missed for 3 years. This lady is embarressing herself. Husbands don't have to tell their wives everything, especially when he's the breadwinner

I have seen this irl so many times, but I have been fortunate to not live it. Why is this so common? Is it one of those things where a person (while grieving) is grasping for items to kind of "hold on" to that person? Or is it sometimes greed?

The plaintiff is wrong and doesn't want to accept it. The defendant had evidence and she only demonstrated that she's delusional and needs to move on. This woman needs some major therapy. She looks a bit unstable. Her attorney didn't want to say anything because he knew she didn't have leg to stand on this. He was there just to see if his pressence would intimidate the defendant and the defendant was being genuinely honest.
