I found Steve's videos about a month ago and was picking n choosing, but after I heard about what happened. I went all the way back to Boondocking and have been working my way forward through the whole library. Honestly, this amazing man has helped me heal and find peace in a way that I didn't think was possible for me. I can only wish that he too finds peace and healing after this loss.

I come back to this video often. It was my introduction to Steve about a year ago. To a first time viewer he looked completely insane doing this, but there was just something about him that made me stay. When he started talking about his beautiful wife picking him up I think I became hooked forever.

It's also possible that the person caring for the property was evicted/fired and destroyed the trailer in retaliation. A lot of those holes in the hallway/doors look like they may have been done by a sledge hammer.

For everyone watching: When cooking small bits of steak like that, you need to drain the water that the meat puts out when it's at it's max level, and save it for later. This prevents the meat from boiling/steaming which will ruin its texture. Let the meat sear a little on both sides. Stir the juices back in and use them to "deglaze" the pot or pan, and reclaim that flavor. Searing the meat and stopping it from steaming will more than double your flavor. I guarantee it.

@@campingwithsteve there was a previous video, i think it was the last overnighter in the old collapsible tent, last fall maybe where you had two animals go in your tent and out. It was the time someone stole your cheese. I couldnt make out what the animals were but i did put the times they went in and out. I had to set it to half speed. That is all i have seen so far so that is a pretty good record considering the places you have slept. lol

Jesus that bit where Steve's walking up to the abandoned trailer was like something straight out of a "found footage" horror film - especially with all the wind noise 😂 All it needed was for him to pop the trunk of that car and find some cut rope and bloody rags or something...

Loved it. These settings are far more interesting than his sleeping out on his own property. Staying in a structure like that I'd constantly worry about other people showing up. Steve just eats well and sleeps well.

I think it’s great that you don’t take on sponsorships, in lieu of great videos that you can look back on when you’re older. Your style of camping and videography is inspiring me to possible start my own channel one day- to document the successes and failures of trying out a new hobby/beginner adventures. I think you should do more abandoned camping too. It’s interesting seeing all of the abandoned places and then spending the night there as it is much different than a typical stealth camp.

This is awesome. Great scenery, middle of nowhere on a windy day, hiding out in an abandoned gas station of all places. It's like zombie apocalypse survival. If the world ends I definitely know who will be one of the people to survive, namely you.

Imagine the very first day this store opened with it's proud owners welcoming their first customers with fully stocked shelves of candies, cookies and groceries, refrigerated displays full of Cokes and Pepsi... Fast forward to president day with Steve cooking on the counter tops and camping out inside the building and recording everything for his "youtube channel" for a thing called the "internet"!

To me (especially with the weather turned the way it is here) it's just QUIET, DRY and COSY, I would've made sure I had adequate emergency supplies for a few days and would've just stayed and enjoyed the peace, and quiet solitude.

Found your videos a couple of months ago and find myself binge watching. I've learned a lot and they take my mind off my chronic pain condition for a while. Love your humor. I really enjoyed your Documentary I watched yesterday. Thank you for making these. I had a thought that maybe you could bring a few lengths of folded up parchment paper with you. Then you'd always have a clean surface for your food, could use as a fire starter, or even toilet paper if you ran out!

That old Buick Wildcat was still operational in 2009, because it's parked facing the opposite direction on Google streetview. Steve gave enough clues to find this place. Closer to civilization than I would have thought! A shame it was abandoned. As always, thanks for the awesome videos Steve!!
