Besides Steve if you want to watch just a good fun camping video check out Matthew Posa and his dog Monty, and their camping adventures. He doesn’t do stealth camping, but he has done some bushcraft. we’re not talking bear Grylls level, more like the level that the average person could do. his dog Monty, A beautiful Collie is such a character, and just loves being out with his human, I have never seen a dog so happy, to just settle down, curl up and ride in the back of a canoe if they do any lakeside camping. hot, cold, being massacred by flies and mosquitoes, Matthew is out there for us, just like Steve is.

@acejoker61293 жыл бұрын
@@grayeaglej I don't think your experience and being homeless after a fallout is the same no offense
@grayeaglej3 жыл бұрын
@@acejoker6129 No offense taken. Its not a one to one comparison exactly, but there are far more similarities than differences. Our best examples of living in post nuclear environments come from Nagasaki, Hiroshima, Fukushima, and Chernoble. All of which had large homeless populations immediately after thier various incidents and continuing to this day. Other good metrics are forest fires and Volcanic eruptions. Finding/Building Shelter is nearly identical. Keeping out Fallout, Dust, Ash, Cold, Smoke, Heat, Bugs, other People, Animals, Rain, Snow, etc etc. Without shelter of some sort you can die in minutes to hours, and so it takes priority. You are also limited to what you can steal/scavenge. Abandoned buildings are not as great as people think. Mold can be just as deadly as Beta Particles. :/ Uncontaminated Food and Water are next. There is no place in the world anymore with surface water clean enough to drink without boiling and filtering. Even if you are in a town/city and can get water from the municipal system that is no guarantee. Tapping into a sprinkler system is a sure way to get cholera or dysentery for instance. Good chance of tetanus too :/ Food is harder than water but not impossible. Fishing n hunting are already problematic because of parasites but thoroughly cooking helps some. However heavy metals from agriculture are just as pernicious as isotopes from Fallout. We know this not only because of the previously mentioned incidents, but because all the testing in the 50s n 60s spread Fallout all over the midwest US putting these isotopes into the wheat, corn, soy, cows, pigs, chickens, etc that we have been eating ever since. Its detectable in our bones. O.o Eating out of dumpsters n garbage sucks, you have to do it sometimes. Finding some way to buy food or trade for it is how most people prefer to do it though. Hygiene. The image of the stinking filthy homeless person come from those that have severe mental and drug problems. People like that dont live long. Just like in a post-nuclear situation living on the streets people still make an effort to stay clean, for a multitude of reasons. Health for one, avoiding rashes, infections, and bugs when medical treatment is unavailable is extremely important. Comfort of course. Presentation if looking for work or other social situations. There are lots of homeless people who still hold jobs and so try to maintain thier Hygiene and appearance. So long story longer, people tend to underestimate what people left to thier own resources, even in extremely dire circumstances, are capable of, and they tend to Overestimate just how bad the aftereffects of certain situations would be. O.o

Howdy, Steve! Another great idea and great video. I can always count on you to make my day just a little better. You probably know this, but I think you have the most amazing fan base! The comment section is always so uplifting. Thank you for doing what you do and just being yourself.

I don't trust joggers.... they're always finding bodies. 😆 Great video as always. Found this channel a couple of weeks ago and it's been great!!

Steve kept making remarks about “mediocre KZbin channel” in the last video and then drops “Garbage Castle” this week, well played Steve, well played. What a banger

One man's trash is another man's treasure. Always taking it to the next level. Never get tired of watching your channel. Not only entertaining, but inspiring. Closing in on 500k subs, and thats no accident. My favorite content creator by far.

I cooked up some food while watching these videos, stealthily of course while disguised as a "roommate" to camp out undetected in my living quarters ;-) 1000%

Me: "It's still a little chilly to go camping in my van." Steve sipping Scotch camping at a Garbage Castle: "Doesn't get any better than this." Me: Handing in my man card. 😂

This dude is a legend - just the other day he was under the street in a drainage ditch and now he’s camping inside a ball of rusty wire. Mav where you at Steve is crushing the game

That entire second story is new. Proof they are still adding to it up to this day. I have a video on my channel posted 5 years ago when I used to bike through the valley and one day stumbled on this with no prior knowledge of it existing.

@David Reads Right, because we all know that it did not work out that well for the other chap I referred to, it would also be such a shame if Steve benefited and made a lot of money from someone else's greed. There are greater things in life than a YoutTube channel.
