Believe it or not but back in the 90s, me and my husband went to London from South Yorkshire for 3days to celebrate our silver Wedding anniversary, during that time, (we were staying at the Victoria Palace Hotel in Victoria) we walked from our hotel to Westminster and we’re standing at the traffic lights waiting to cross to the houses of parliament when a small loaf shaped van came hurtling across the bridge and failed to stop at the traffic lights, it overturned in the middle of the road, bearing in mind there were policemen around ( we saw them) it took my husband to run into the middle of the road , stop any on coming traffic so that he could give any help needed,he got the driver out and single handedly tipped the van back up right, the driver was shaken but fine, we didn’t hang about once that had been established, we were on holiday, nor did my husband want a fuss ( not that he would have got one lol ) he was built like a brick 💩 house at the time lol he’s in his seventies now, same build but no where near the same strength, to say I was very proud of him that day is an understatement but I just wanted to share one of my favourite memories of or 25th wedding anniversary 🎉👍🥰🐾

Dear William, I was glad to watch this video because it was always my dream to do stealth parking in London (where i’ve never been yet). I am traveling and living in my LR Disco IV for 7 years now around Europe, doing things that you do (except cooking) and i love it. I believe, this lifestyle will include more and more people since the housing crisis is bashing up people all around western world. I wish you all the best, and kudos

I am from about five minutes away from Putney Hill - I was totally not expecting to see you there! Putney is in fact quite noteworthy - just before the bridge on the Putney side on your right, you will have passed St Mary's Church, the site of the Putney Debates in 1647. The bridge itself is actually the second Putney Bridge, opened in 1886 to replace the first (a little further northwards) bridge which opened in 1729. It's also the start point for the annual Boat Race. The bridge was built following an incident where Sir Robert Walpole wanted to cross the water on his way back to Parliament (the crossing was, at the time, served by a ferry) but found the ferrymen on the lash at the long-demolished Swan Inn!

I drove down that road and back every working day for 15 years. You picked a really safe spot (by Central London standards). There is a lot of police activity around those streets because of the Houses of Parliament but also because of St Thomas's Hospital. Many of those sirens you heard would have been ambulances.

Loved seeing you back in Mary! This is what you’re best at in my view, keeping it simple, keeping it real, just you, the camera and a bit of cooking. I know it must be hard finding new places to stealth camp but this was really cool and a stroke of genius. I know what you mean about disappearing into your own little den when outside is chaotic, and you shut that world out and relax. Also a bit daunting with the traffic wizzing by, but glad you managed to do it and could share a different experience. So funny when you remembered that the Queen is dead. I think it’s been a while! 😆
