Interesting product, thanks for testing it. Biggest hesitation for me is the inability to charge while using the headset. Maybe if the cable had some sort of y-connection to allow pass through charging... 🤔

Hey Midas, if you have a chance to play around with XREAL and Steam Deck again, the XREAL Air driver can be installed through the Decky plugin store and adds head-tracking support for all games.

I have the NREAL Air´s since their release in Japan and ordered mine to europe instantly from a japan seller. I also have the HDMI adapter and recently ordered some correction lenses, and the Redmagic adapter for charging the Steam Deck while using the glasses with it. I love the NREAL/XREAL Airs, but don´t understand this ominous "verified" list - because of the glasses just mirroring the Steam Deck output, and for me, all works just fine, together with the emulation stuff. Of course, the 1080p output is in some titles hard for the Steam Deck, and some tuning is needed.

these glasses are the cheapest OLED TV rn !! I got them and love them so much. They Feel next gen asf and are super clutch when every TV in the house are being used!! Highly recommend these shades.

Actually the maximum is 120hz just hold the brightness up button until you hear the 2nd audible click however thats via direct connection if your using the Xreal Beam your limited to 72hz and 60hz on consoles but they will address that in an update.

This is the number 1. Steamdeck peripheral, and yet… They don’t even market this product appropriately. I only heard of it from this channel. The glasses have a 3d mode (hold the brightness up button for 2 seconds after updating the firmware) that only works in 3840x1080 SBS content, which is absurd! (For videos or Games.) Their materials and marketing don’t even notify you of this feature. Additionally their software for video playback etc isn’t even available for the Steamdeck/Linux which limits their features. Yet still, the best product for the Steamdeck simply because you plug it in, and you have a 120 inch screen in your shades.

It's that one air casting feature that really helps it stand out. They didn't make this for the Steam Deck, it just happened to work so well with it so it looks to me like they're just adapting trying to switch the target market from the smartphone community to the gaming handheld community. I'll admit that their marketing of these glasses does need a bit more work though.

That's definitely an issue I never considered 😕 I haven't played much text-dependent games yet using the glasses so I never noticed this.

I tried these glasses last week from a work colleague, and although interesting, to me the screen size just didn't work as expected... Basically it feels like it's the same size as looking directly at the Steam Deck screen, as I usually hold it on my lap. So in the end, other than privacy, I see no benefit whatsoever!
